  36. school) she just seemed like she was barging in so much. At the restaurant
  37. it
  38. seemed like Isabel didn't even WANT her there. And, they way she talks seems
  39. so.. forced? Like she has an accent she wants to hide.

  56. is, if you're going to attempt to stir the pot of a couple(which is what

  58. is going to do) then you have to at least have a character as interesting or
  59. likeable as the person she/he is trying to replace. Based on tonight, I
  60. didn't feel it. I'm hoping that this will change as time goes by but I want
  61. her to at least be a viable candidate for Max's heart. Otherwise, it's all
  62. pretty superfluous for me and it's all about waiting for Max and Liz to find
  63. their way back to each other. Any thoughts?

  114. reallly wondering what is gonna happen next eppy.....will the sheriff start 
  115. investigating the communication rock thingie? Are the FBI gonna go after max 
  116. thems...well probably something along those lines!
  117.     k, i really liked this episode! it had me in suspense a lot...plus all 
  118. the max and liz cute lil romantic things were a BIG BONUS! i mean i liked 
  119. sexual healing better but that is just because the ENTIRE focus of the 
  120. episode was all MAX AND LIZ! =) k, addios!

  229. I was really disappointed in this omission also. At the very least, there 
  230. should have been a throwaway line or 2 about their parents and whether 
  231. they have curfews to meet now, can't stay out so late (like all night!) 
  232. or something! There has been this continuity problem between episodes 
  233. before, where something big happens and there's no discussion of it 
  234. afterwards, and no repercussions.  As you know, I felt it strongly after 
  235. Blind Date!! Too bad the script writers can't refer back to each other's 
  236. work a little bit, and think to themselves, "Oh, I guess I should mention 
  237. that huge thing that happened last week in this week's episode!"
  238.  
  239. Otherwise, I thought last night was outstanding! I think I'll have to 
  240. watch it again to compose coherent thoughts about it. But here are a few 
  241. incoherent ones! 
  242. I loved the new interaction between Michael & Maria!! They were fabulous 
  243. in every single scene together. Their relationship seems such a big step 
  244. forward for Michael and lots of potential for growth there. I like 
  245. Michael working at the Crashdown! Very cute.
  246. I liked that Liz & Max finally get to be happy together for a while, but, 
  247. and I never thought I could think this, didn't Max seem a little too 
  248. perfect of a boyfriend?  Gifts, flowers, always knowing when to reach out 
  249. with a little touch, yikes! What human boy could live up to his example?? 
  250. I also don't think Liz was being a very good friend to Maria, doing all 
  251. that cooing and smooching right in front of her when she knows that Maria 
  252. is not getting the same. Loved the scene between Michael and Max, where 
  253. Max is trying to teach Michael how to be a nicer boyfriend.
  254. Max hitting Michael was really disturbing. Wow. What repercussions will 
  255. there be from that??
  256.  
  257. I am very intrigued by the doctor/ Nasedo thing. What are his motives? 
  258. Who's side is he on?? I'm glad that Valenti seems to be becoming a good 
  259. guy, and yes, what's he going to do with the orb??? Poor old Topolsky, 
  260. looks like she's been tortured. I trusted her this time and am scared 
  261. about what's going to happen to her next.

  263. I hated Tess, especially in the scene where she interrupts Alex & Isabel 
  264. for the second time. Her first scene with them she just seemed friendly 
  265. and eager. But in the second one didn't she seem so calculating and like 
  266. she was totally dismissing Alex. Which maybe she is for her own ulterior 
  267. motives. Moving in on Isabel and pushing aside the unimportant people in 
  268. her way.
  269. Very interesting new story directions.

  288. I have to say that this didn't bother me but it's probably because they do it 
  289. in the      X Files all the time. Mulder is at death's door and then he's 
  290. back in his apartment in the next episode.

  292. Anyway, I loved the show last night. The chemistry between all the actors was 
  293. great and the "we're closing early" line (sorry I shouldn't put it in quotes 
  294. because I'm not sure I got it exactly right) was hilarious.

  828. Why couldn't this be true? The alien we've seen that killed Hank is not
  829. necessarily Nasedo. Everyone just assumes that he is. But why can't there
  830. be multiple aliens that have been to the Earth and/or are still here? This
  831. would mean that any character could be an alien, and any alien we see might
  832. or might not be nasedo. Personally, my theory is that nasedo brought Max,
  833. Michael and Isabel to the Earth to hide them for some reason and some other
  834. aliens have been trying to hunt all of them down.  If this is true (which
  835. it very well might not be) Pierce probably is an alien!

  877. 'force' that is drawing Max to Tess making him do things not of his own
  878. will.

  880. 2)    Michael telling Max that he "doesn't know who [he] is anymore." I think
  881. we're meant to believe that this is because of Max's apparent infidelity to
  882. Liz, but I think it's actually because Max struck Michael in Crazy. I will

  890. drops when she is caught by -- apparently -- Tess' father (although he does
  891. look like one of those FBI suits from earlier).

  893. 5)    Max looks like he too discovers something that disturbs him, so perhaps
  894. he learns quickly that Tess is not who exactly she says she is (guessing, of
  895. course, that she isn't just another kid at school).

  1059.         Firstly, how great was it to finally see a new episode?! It =
  1060. seems the buildup to this episode was greater than any before. I have to =
  1061. admit that I was one of the people who was very concerned with the new =
  1062. "direction" the show was going to take. While I enjoy the science =
  1063. fiction aspect of the show, it=92s the little relationship moments that =
  1064. have really touched me beyond belief. However, the writers proved how =
  1065. capable and in tune with the characters they really are with tonight=92s =
  1066. episode. After seeing this, I can see the initial vision of the show a =
  1067. little clearer. Tonight was the first time that I honestly felt it was =
  1068. "The X Files crosses Dawsons Creek" and I for one am loving it.The =
  1069. episode was so amazing! Here are some thoughts and observations:
  1070.  
  1071.         1) I really liked the "Previously seen on Roswell" clips that =
  1072. started the show. It was a great set of clips and a good "cliff notes" =
  1073. version for new viewers. If that montage of scenes doesn't get people =
  1074. in, nothing will.=20
  1075.  
  1076.         2) Couples in Roswell: Nothing is ever simple, is it? The three =
  1077. main couples really are vastly different and it's obvious in how they're =
  1078. handling the Topolsky/FBI/alien-human relations situation.
  1079.  
  1080.               A) Liz and Max: Ahhh, the quiet before the storm. Max and =
  1081. Liz were so sweet tonight and very "couple-y" It was good to see some =
  1082. continuity between "Sexual Healing" and "Crazy" which is something that =
  1083. the writers have been a little laxed about. It was also interesting to =
  1084. see Max and Liz disagree about the Topolsky/trust issue and it was even =
  1085. better to see neither one back down. I was afraid that Liz would cower a =
  1086. little but she stood her ground. It's obvious their love runs deep and =
  1087. that Liz is really scared for Max and what could potentially always be a =
  1088. threat to his life...his very existence. It's so obvious how deep their =
  1089. connection runs; it almost seems eternal. It was so nice to see, even if =
  1090. for one episode, what it would be like for Max and Liz to be a normal =
  1091. couple.
  1092.  
  1093.                B) Maria and Michael:  It was good to see them in the =
  1094. contrast to Max and Liz. Max and Liz are so perfectly matched. Both are =
  1095. honor students, both are pretty "play by the rules" kind of people, both =
  1096. are incredibly rational. Then there's Michael and Maria who at times =
  1097. have this great symbiotic relationship and then the next instance are =
  1098. like oil and water. Watching them is like watching a roller coaster ride =
  1099. with its ups and downs constantly changing the equilibrium of things. =
  1100. This works for them in a big way. Majandra and Brendan were incredible =
  1101. tonight. The wanting on Maria's part to have what Max and Liz have, the =
  1102. desperation on Michael's part to try and accomodate her, the bickering, =
  1103. the caring, and finally the culminating scene in the woods where Maria =
  1104. WOULD not leave Michael even if it meant she would be hurt. Great scene, =
  1105. very revealing in many ways of how they really feel about each other. =
  1106. Awesome acting!
  1107.  
  1108.                 C) Alex and Isabel. There is so much potential there. =
  1109. They are both really fascinating characters. Isabel is such a hard one =
  1110. to figure out. One thing is for certain. Isabel is lonely. Lonely for =
  1111. friendship, for someone to love her, for someone to understand her, but =
  1112. most importantly, lonely for someone to want to know her back. I imagine =
  1113. she's used to people wanting to know her because she's pretty and =
  1114. popular(though we've never seen her with "friends" other than in the Toy =
  1115. House, her popularity is alluded to many times throughout the series) no =
  1116. one really has ever wanted to know the real her. That's sort of why the =
  1117. Alex/Isabel relationship is so ripe. Alex is in a completely different =
  1118. clique of students yet has the same isolation issues that Isabel has. =
  1119. Not many people want to get to know Alex either. He's not overly popular =
  1120. or smart, he's just average. I hope Isabel and Alex can persevere.
  1121.  
  1122.         3) Topolsky, the aliens' safety and these "alien hunters": Just =
  1123. had to say that Julie Benz was awesome tonight. Her trepidation and fear =
  1124. were palpable. I have read some spoilers, not all, so I'm not completely =
  1125. sure where this is leading. I do know that I don't trust anyone! I do =
  1126. think that the aliens will have to come to a decision within themselves, =
  1127. especially Michael and Isabel about trusting the humans completely. Max =
  1128. trusts Liz implicitly and I honestly feel as if he trusts Alex and Maria =
  1129. too(he said it in tonights episode but I think he really believes it =
  1130. too). Michael and Isabel still have the "aliens vs. humans" mentality =
  1131. and that has to change if they all want to stay safe. Very scary stuff =
  1132. tonight though. Topolsky, Valenti, Pierce, Nasedo...everyone is suspect =
  1133. and no one's intentions seem obvious anymore. Can't wait to see this pan =
  1134. out.
  1135.  
  1136.         Two interesting quotes:
  1137.  
  1138.         A) "It's not 3 and 3 Michael, it's the 6 of us" -Liz. This is =
  1139. definetly an interesting line (can someone smell the foreshadowing?) and =
  1140. one that will prove harder to live by as time goes on I'm sure. It's =
  1141. great that these three aliens love these three humans but will they ever =
  1142. be six? Will they ever be able to find this true common ground? I love =
  1143. Max and Liz so much and I want to see them happy, but their differences =
  1144. become more of an obstacle every time they're together. Yes they love =
  1145. each other, yes they feel complete when they're together, but as you can =
  1146. see from the previews to next week's show, these things can be fleeting. =
  1147. It's all a lot to process. What do you guys think?
  1148.  
  1149.         B) "I just really want this to be over with" -Maria. Another =
  1150. interesting line and one that shows how young and perhaps naive Maria =
  1151. and Liz are. This line disturbed me a little because it shows that Maria =
  1152.  doesn't (or won't) fully comprehend the complexity and severity of the =
  1153. situation. Michael will never stop being an alien and she'll never stop =
  1154. being a human. "This" will never be over.=20
  1155.  
  1156.         4) Tess: Ah, the Tess person. To be honest and I swear I'm not =
  1157. saying this as a Max and Liz shipper, I really didn't like her =
  1158. introduction into the Pod Squad. It felt incredibly forced to me. Isabel =
  1159. is so guarded and has that wall up just as high, if not higher than =
  1160. Michael's and yet she so quickly embraced Tess? I know she's lonely but =
  1161. it still seemed slightly out of character for her. Also, I didn't find =
  1162. her sweet at all, I found her treacly. I think the actress playing her =
  1163. is really cute though but not the type of character I would have liked =
  1164. to see come in between Max and Liz. My feeling is, if you're going to =
  1165. attempt to stir the pot of a couple(which is what Tess is going to do) =
  1166. then you have to at least have a character as interesting or likeable as =
  1167. the person she/he is trying to replace. Based on tonight, I didn't feel =
  1168. it. I'm hoping that this will change as time goes by but I want her to =
  1169. at least be a viable candidate for Max's heart. Otherwise, it's all =
  1170. pretty superfluous for me and it's all about waiting for Max and Liz to =
  1171. find their way back to each other. Any thoughts?=20
  1172.  
  1173.         5) The transition to science fiction: What I loved about this =
  1174. episode was how well balanced it truly was. Not since the pilot, have I =
  1175. felt this enthusiastic about the science fiction of the story. Usually I =
  1176. am more intrigued by the hand holding scene in "Sexual Healing" between =
  1177. Max and Liz or the bed scene between Maria and Michael in "Independence =
  1178. Day" but tonight I was really into the entire episode. This show =
  1179. continues to amaze me with it's writing staff and it's actors and how =
  1180. smoothly they make the transition between drama and comedy, bravery and =
  1181. fear, all in one episode. This was an incredibly taut episode and I am =
  1182. confident that they will be able to sustain this for years to come! =
  1183. (optimism up. American flag waving. "Star Spangled Banner playing in the =
  1184. background. A thinly veiled plea to write more letters and send more =
  1185. sauce. I will stop now) :)
  1186.  
  1187.         6) Weekly Shallow Post: Everyone looked amazing tonight. I have =
  1188. never seen Shiri look better! Maria and Isabel looked beautiful as well. =
  1189. Michael, gotta love a guy in a bandana. Alex is just always adorable. =
  1190. Jason. Oh my! I'm going to refrain from gushing here but I will say that =
  1191. I think he's the best looking man I have ever seen! I also loved the =
  1192. Cameron Diaz in "Being John Malkovich" wig that Topolsky wore to the =
  1193. Chinese restaurant. For a minute there I thought something was going to =
  1194. fly out of it!=20

  1196.         Again, an incredible episode and definetly worth the wait! If =
  1197. this show does not get renewed, then I know that there is no longer room =
  1198. on television for quality writing, quality acting and quality =

  1500.         incredibly forced to me. Isabel is so guarded and has that wall =

  1502.         as high, if not higher than Michael's and yet she so quickly =

  1504.         Tess? I know she's lonely but it still seemed slightly out of =

  1506.         for her. Also, I didn't find her sweet at all, I found her =

  1508.         think the actress playing her is really cute though but not the =

  1510.         character I would have liked to see come in between Max and Liz. =

  1512.         feeling is, if you're going to attempt to stir the pot of a =

  1518.         Based on tonight, I didn't feel it. I'm hoping that this will =

  1529.         What I loved about this episode was how well balanced it truly =

  1533.         of the story. Usually I am more intrigued by the hand holding =

  1535.         "Sexual Healing" between Max and Liz or the bed scene =

  1539.         really into the entire episode. This show continues to amaze me =
