Well, the graphics are quite exceptional, but one does definitely get the
feeling that it's geared more for marketing than for the television show
itself. For instance, look at the official site for Buffy the Vampire slayer
at http://www.buffy.com. Although they've had a 'store' link for sometime,
it never has worked. It's excellent to download credits and review the show
synopsis. I wished the official Roswell site was similar.

You are so right Mike...the buffy site is what an official site should be. I
really wonder if it is the official site, I mean, it doesn't even really
have its own URL..just a subdivision of www.thewb.com And I think they
could have at least made it thewb-roswell..NOT levi...That is what make me
think it is truly just an ad and a real site will come later if its renewed.

D'oh! Why haven't I been able to get anything on there? Maybe it's that game
that has never worked... Anyhoo, at least there is an 'official' Roswell web
site now. That's somewhat encouraging that there will be another season. I'd
feel better, though, if it had its own domain name and not ran by Levi.
So the store really works? Hmm... :)

Please can all Roswell fans in America help the fans in Australia. We've
only had the show for four weeks and already channel nine has moved it from
Monday 8:30 to Friday 10:40 to not on at all. Please enter the Roswell
discussion board at http://discussion.ninemsn.com.au to tell channel nine
how great Roswell is and how it will be a stupid decision to not let
Australia see the first season of this amazing show.
Thankyou,

Okay, was there anyone out who missed tonight's episode because of the new
night? Didn't think so. :)
Thoroughly enjoyable episode -- probably even more fast paced than the pilot
episode, "Roswell High." Looks like the "Sexual Healing" episode spilled
over just a bit into this episode with all the face 'suckage,' but what
happened with the conclusion? I was expecting a parent-child lecture of some
sort after Liz and Max walked in the Cafe to see their parents waiting for
them. There wasn't even a mention of any repercussions because of it.
Anyhoo, like Liz, I was very trusting of what Topolsky had to say and was
not believing of the doctor at all. I think it's safe to say the next thing
we hear about Topolsky is her body being discovered somewhere.
I was glad to see that the Sheriff is proving to be a true ally of the gang,
but I feel he too was duped at the end by Nacedo-Doctor. The only problem
with that, is how was it possible that the Sheriff was fed so much bogus
information, and believed it all? How could Nacedo pull all that off? Does
he too manage to work under cover, and the FBI doesn't even know his true
identity? And what's going to happen to Valenti now that he has the
orb-communication-thingy-majig?
I'm also curious if anyone knows what the ratings were for the show tonight?
I'd definitely give this episode a 9.0 out of 10, and not getting the full
10 because of the lack of closure from the previous episode, and for making
us think it was Tess that was causing all this commotion. *Never* trust the
promos. :)

Hey Guys,
Firstly, how great was it to finally see a new episode?! It seems the =
buildup to this episode was greater than any before. I have to admit =
that I was one of the people who was very concerned with the new =
"direction" the show was going to take. While I enjoy the science =
fiction aspect of the show, it=92s the little relationship moments that =
have really touched me beyond belief. However, the writers proved how =
capable and in tune with the characters they really are with tonight=92s =
episode. After seeing this, I can see the initial vision of the show a =
little clearer. Tonight was the first time that I honestly felt it was =
"The X Files crosses Dawsons Creek" and I for one am loving it.The =
episode was so amazing! Here are some thoughts and observations:
1) I really liked the "Previously seen on Roswell" clips that started =
the show. It was a great set of clips and a good "cliff notes" version =
for new viewers. If that montage of scenes doesn't get people in, =
nothing will.=20
2) Couples in Roswell: Nothing is ever simple, is it? The three main =
couples really are vastly different and it's obvious in how they're =
handling the Topolsky/FBI/alien-human relations situation.
A) Liz and Max: Ahhh, the quiet before the storm. Max and Liz were =
so sweet tonight and very "couple-y" It was good to see some continuity =
between "Sexual Healing" and "Crazy" which is something that the writers =
have been a little laxed about. It was also interesting to see Max and =
Liz disagree about the Topolsky/trust issue and it was even better to =
see neither one back down. I was afraid that Liz would cower a little =
but she stood her ground. It's obvious their love runs deep and that Liz =
is really scared for Max and what could potentially always be a threat =
to his life...his very existence. It's so obvious how deep their =
connection runs; it almost seems eternal. It was so nice to see, even if =
for one episode, what it would be like for Max and Liz to be a normal =
couple.
B) Maria and Michael: It was good to see them in the contrast to =
Max and Liz. Max and Liz are so perfectly matched. Both are honor =
students, both are pretty "play by the rules" kind of people, both are =
incredibly rational. Then there's Michael and Maria who at times have =
this great symbiotic relationship and then the next instance are like =
oil and water. Watching them is like watching a roller coaster ride with =
its ups and downs constantly changing the equilibrium of things. This =
works for them in a big way. Majandra and Brendan were incredible =
tonight. The wanting on Maria's part to have what Max and Liz have, the =
desperation on Michael's part to try and accomodate her, the bickering, =
the caring, and finally the culminating scene in the woods where Maria =
WOULD not leave Michael even if it meant she would be hurt. Great scene, =
very revealing in many ways of how they really feel about each other. =
Awesome acting!
C) Alex and Isabel. There is so much potential there. They are =
both really fascinating characters. Isabel is such a hard one to figure =
out. One thing is for certain. Isabel is lonely. Lonely for friendship, =
for someone to love her, for someone to understand her, but most =
importantly, lonely for someone to want to know her back. I imagine =
she's used to people wanting to know her because she's pretty and =
popular(though we've never seen her with "friends" other than in the Toy =
House, her popularity is alluded to many times throughout the series) no =
one really has ever wanted to know the real her. That's sort of why the =
Alex/Isabel relationship is so ripe. Alex is in a completely different =
clique of students yet has the same isolation issues that Isabel has. =
Not many people want to get to know Alex either. He's not overly popular =
or smart, he's just average. I hope Isabel and Alex can persevere.
3) Topolsky, the aliens' safety and these "alien hunters": Just had to =
say that Julie Benz was awesome tonight. Her trepidation and fear were =
palpable. I have read some spoilers, not all, so I'm not completely sure =
where this is leading. I do know that I don't trust anyone! I do think =
that the aliens will have to come to a decision within themselves, =
especially Michael and Isabel about trusting the humans completely. Max =
trusts Liz implicitly and I honestly feel as if he trusts Alex and Maria =
too(he said it in tonights episode but I think he really believes it =
too). Michael and Isabel still have the "aliens vs. humans" mentality =
and that has to change if they all want to stay safe. Very scary stuff =
tonight though. Topolsky, Valenti, Pierce, Nasedo...everyone is suspect =
and no one's intentions seem obvious anymore. Can't wait to see this pan =
out.
Two interesting quotes:
A) "It's not 3 and 3 Michael, it's the 6 of us" -Liz. This is definetly =
an interesting line (can someone smell the foreshadowing?) and one that =
will prove harder to live by as time goes on I'm sure. It's great that =
these three aliens love these three humans but will they ever be six? =
Will they ever be able to find this true common ground? I love Max and =
Liz so much and I want to see them happy, but their differences become =
more of an obstacle every time they're together. Yes they love each =
other, yes they feel complete when they're together, but as you can see =
from the previews to next week's show, these things can be fleeting. =
It's all a lot to process. What do you guys think?
B) "I just really want this to be over with" -Maria. Another interesting =
line and one that shows how young and perhaps naive Maria and Liz are. =
This line disturbed me a little because it shows that Maria doesn't (or =
won't) fully comprehend the complexity and severity of the situation. =
Michael will never stop being an alien and she'll never stop being a =
human. "This" will never be over.=20
4) Tess: Ah, the Tess person. To be honest and I swear I'm not saying =
this as a Max and Liz shipper, I really didn't like her introduction =
into the Pod Squad. It felt incredibly forced to me. Isabel is so =
guarded and has that wall up just as high, if not higher than Michael's =
and yet she so quickly embraced Tess? I know she's lonely but it still =
seemed slightly out of character for her. Also, I didn't find her sweet =
at all, I found her treacly. I think the actress playing her is really =
cute though but not the type of character I would have liked to see come =
in between Max and Liz. My feeling is, if you're going to attempt to =
stir the pot of a couple(which is what Tess is going to do) then you =
have to at least have a character as interesting or likeable as the =
person she/he is trying to replace. Based on tonight, I didn't feel it. =
I'm hoping that this will change as time goes by but I want her to at =
least be a viable candidate for Max's heart. Otherwise, it's all pretty =
superfluous for me and it's all about waiting for Max and Liz to find =
their way back to each other. Any thoughts?=20
5) The transition to science fiction: What I loved about this episode =
was how well balanced it truly was. Not since the pilot, have I felt =
this enthusiastic about the science fiction of the story. Usually I am =
more intrigued by the hand holding scene in "Sexual Healing" between Max =
and Liz or the bed scene between Maria and Michael in "Independence Day" =
but tonight I was really into the entire episode. This show continues to =
amaze me with it's writing staff and it's actors and how smoothly they =
make the transition between drama and comedy, bravery and fear, all in =
one episode. This was an incredibly taut episode and I am confident that =
they will be able to sustain this for years to come! (optimism up. =
American flag waving. "Star Spangled Banner playing in the background. A =
thinly veiled plea to write more letters and send more sauce. I will =
stop now) :)
6) Weekly Shallow Post: Everyone looked amazing tonight. I have never =
seen Shiri look better! Maria and Isabel looked beautiful as well. =
Michael, gotta love a guy in a bandana. Alex is just always adorable. =
Jason. Oh my! I'm going to refrain from gushing here but I will say that =
I think he's the best looking man I have ever seen! I also loved the =
Cameron Diaz in "Being John Malkovich" wig that Topolsky wore to the =
Chinese restaurant. For a minute there I thought something was going to =
fly out of it!=20
Again, an incredible episode and definetly worth the wait! If this show =
does not get renewed, then I know that there is no longer room on =
television for quality writing, quality acting and quality =
entertainment. Keep writing those letters!! Take care! Gina :)

I totally agree... bith times she came on the scene (at the restaurent and
school) she just seemed like she was barging in so much. At the restaurant it
seemed like Isabel didn't even WANT her there. And, they way she talks seems
so.. forced? Like she has an accent she wants to hide.

As always Gina, your comments are fantastic. I cannot post too much today
b/c I am falling asleep at my desk...(long week/weekend). Anyway, I loved
the scenes with M&L, but the scene with Mike & Maria when Maria was crying
really got to me as well. Maria really cares for him and Majandra did a
beautiful job of portraying a very emotionally distraught Maria DeLuca.
Maria seemed rather distant the entire episode as opposed to her usual
perky, forth-right self. I Loved that. I also cared for the desert scenes a
great deal because it was the first time all six of them were there
together. Very moving moments there. I hope Isabel and Alex take things slow
and eventually form a tight bond, whether it be as friends, or something
more, I want it to happen. Topolsky was awesome...Julie's talent is truly
shining through, she is going places for sure! I am glad the sheriff is on
their side. He has really ben doing his job ever since The Convention
(protecting them). Well, Thats al I got for now, but I am going to watch it
again and again and again. I could go on and on.....
Thanks for listening!

Subject: [roswell] SPOILERS: Thoughts and observations about "Crazy"
Hey Guys,
Firstly, how great was it to finally see a new episode?! It seems the
buildup to this episode was greater than any before. I have to admit that I
was one of the people who was very concerned with the new "direction" the
show was going to take. While I enjoy the science fiction aspect of the
show, itÆs the little relationship moments that have really touched me
beyond belief. However, the writers proved how capable and in tune with the
characters they really are with tonightÆs episode. After seeing this, I can
see the initial vision of the show a little clearer. Tonight was the first
time that I honestly felt it was "The X Files crosses Dawsons Creek" and I
for one am loving it.The episode was so amazing! Here are some thoughts and
observations:
1) I really liked the "Previously seen on Roswell" clips that started the
show. It was a great set of clips and a good "cliff notes" version for new
viewers. If that montage of scenes doesn't get people in, nothing will.
2) Couples in Roswell: Nothing is ever simple, is it? The three main
couples really are vastly different and it's obvious in how they're handling
the Topolsky/FBI/alien-human relations situation.
A) Liz and Max: Ahhh, the quiet before the storm. Max and Liz were
so sweet tonight and very "couple-y" It was good to see some continuity
between "Sexual Healing" and "Crazy" which is something that the writers
have been a little laxed about. It was also interesting to see Max and Liz
disagree about the Topolsky/trust issue and it was even better to see
neither one back down. I was afraid that Liz would cower a little but she
stood her ground. It's obvious their love runs deep and that Liz is really
scared for Max and what could potentially always be a threat to his
life...his very existence. It's so obvious how deep their connection runs;
it almost seems eternal. It was so nice to see, even if for one episode,
what it would be like for Max and Liz to be a normal couple.
B) Maria and Michael: It was good to see them in the contrast to
Max and Liz. Max and Liz are so perfectly matched. Both are honor students,
both are pretty "play by the rules" kind of people, both are incredibly
rational. Then there's Michael and Maria who at times have this great
symbiotic relationship and then the next instance are like oil and water.
Watching them is like watching a roller coaster ride with its ups and downs
constantly changing the equilibrium of things. This works for them in a big
way. Majandra and Brendan were incredible tonight. The wanting on Maria's
part to have what Max and Liz have, the desperation on Michael's part to try
and accomodate her, the bickering, the caring, and finally the culminating
scene in the woods where Maria WOULD not leave Michael even if it meant she
would be hurt. Great scene, very revealing in many ways of how they really
feel about each other. Awesome acting!
C) Alex and Isabel. There is so much potential there. They are
both really fascinating characters. Isabel is such a hard one to figure out.
One thing is for certain. Isabel is lonely. Lonely for friendship, for
someone to love her, for someone to understand her, but most importantly,
lonely for someone to want to know her back. I imagine she's used to people
wanting to know her because she's pretty and popular(though we've never seen
her with "friends" other than in the Toy House, her popularity is alluded to
many times throughout the series) no one really has ever wanted to know the
real her. That's sort of why the Alex/Isabel relationship is so ripe. Alex
is in a completely different clique of students yet has the same isolation
issues that Isabel has. Not many people want to get to know Alex either.
He's not overly popular or smart, he's just average. I hope Isabel and Alex
can persevere.
3) Topolsky, the aliens' safety and these "alien hunters": Just had to say
that Julie Benz was awesome tonight. Her trepidation and fear were palpable.
I have read some spoilers, not all, so I'm not completely sure where this is
leading. I do know that I don't trust anyone! I do think that the aliens
will have to come to a decision within themselves, especially Michael and
Isabel about trusting the humans completely. Max trusts Liz implicitly and I
honestly feel as if he trusts Alex and Maria too(he said it in tonights
episode but I think he really believes it too). Michael and Isabel still
have the "aliens vs. humans" mentality and that has to change if they all
want to stay safe. Very scary stuff tonight though. Topolsky, Valenti,
Pierce, Nasedo...everyone is suspect and no one's intentions seem obvious
anymore. Can't wait to see this pan out.
Two interesting quotes:
A) "It's not 3 and 3 Michael, it's the 6 of us" -Liz. This is definetly an
interesting line (can someone smell the foreshadowing?) and one that will
prove harder to live by as time goes on I'm sure. It's great that these
three aliens love these three humans but will they ever be six? Will they
ever be able to find this true common ground? I love Max and Liz so much and
I want to see them happy, but their differences become more of an obstacle
every time they're together. Yes they love each other, yes they feel
complete when they're together, but as you can see from the previews to next
week's show, these things can be fleeting. It's all a lot to process. What
do you guys think?
B) "I just really want this to be over with" -Maria. Another interesting
line and one that shows how young and perhaps naive Maria and Liz are. This
line disturbed me a little because it shows that Maria doesn't (or won't)
fully comprehend the complexity and severity of the situation. Michael will
never stop being an alien and she'll never stop being a human. "This" will
never be over.
4) Tess: Ah, the Tess person. To be honest and I swear I'm not saying this
as a Max and Liz shipper, I really didn't like her introduction into the Pod
Squad. It felt incredibly forced to me. Isabel is so guarded and has that
wall up just as high, if not higher than Michael's and yet she so quickly

<P>1) I really liked the "<STRONG>Previously seen on Roswell</STRONG>" =
clips=20
that started the show. It was a great set of clips and a good "cliff =
notes"=20
version for new viewers. If that montage of scenes doesn't get people =
in,=20
nothing will. </P>
<P>2) <STRONG>Couples in Roswell</STRONG>: Nothing is ever simple, is =
it? The=20
three main couples really are vastly different and it's obvious in how =
they're=20
handling the Topolsky/FBI/alien-human relations situation.</P>
<P> A) <STRONG>Liz and Max</STRONG>: =
Ahhh, the=20
quiet before the storm. Max and Liz were so sweet tonight and very =
"couple-y"=20
It was good to see some continuity between "Sexual Healing" and =
"Crazy" which=20
is something that the writers have been a little laxed about. It was =
also=20
interesting to see Max and Liz disagree about the Topolsky/trust issue =
and it=20
was even better to see neither one back down. I was afraid that Liz =
would=20
cower a little but she stood her ground. It's obvious their love runs =
deep and=20
that Liz is really scared for Max and what could potentially always be =
a=20
threat to his life...his very existence. It's so obvious how deep =
their=20
connection runs; it almost seems eternal. It was so nice to see, even =
if for=20
one episode, what it would be like for Max and Liz to be a normal =
couple.</P>
<P> B) <STRONG>Maria and=20
Michael</STRONG>: It was good to see them in the contrast to Max =
and=20
Liz. Max and Liz are so perfectly matched. Both are honor students, =
both are=20
pretty "play by the rules" kind of people, both are incredibly =
rational. Then=20
there's Michael and Maria who at times have this great symbiotic =
relationship=20
and then the next instance are like oil and water. Watching them is =
like=20
watching a roller coaster ride with its ups and downs constantly =
changing the=20
equilibrium of things. This works for them in a big way. Majandra and =
Brendan=20
were incredible tonight. The wanting on Maria's part to have what Max =
and Liz=20
have, the desperation on Michael's part to try and accomodate her, the =
bickering, the caring, and finally the culminating scene in the woods =
where=20
Maria WOULD not leave Michael even if it meant she would be hurt. =
Great scene,=20
very revealing in many ways of how they really feel about each other. =
Awesome=20
acting!</P>
<P> C) <STRONG>Alex and=20
Isabel</STRONG>. There is so much potential there. They are both =
really=20
fascinating characters. Isabel is such a hard one to figure out. One =
thing is=20
for certain. Isabel is lonely. Lonely for friendship, for someone to =
love her,=20
for someone to understand her, but most importantly, lonely for =
someone to=20
want to know her back. I imagine she's used to people wanting to know =
her=20
because she's pretty and popular(though we've never seen her with =
"friends"=20
other than in the Toy House, her popularity is alluded to many times=20
throughout the series) no one really has ever wanted to know the real =
her.=20
That's sort of why the Alex/Isabel relationship is so ripe. Alex is in =
a=20
completely different clique of students yet has the same isolation =
issues that=20
Isabel has. Not many people want to get to know Alex either. He's not =
overly=20
popular or smart, he's just average. I hope Isabel and Alex can =
persevere.</P>
<P>3) <STRONG>Topolsky, the aliens' safety and these "alien =
hunters</STRONG>":=20
Just had to say that Julie Benz was awesome tonight. Her trepidation =
and fear=20
were palpable. I have read some spoilers, not all, so I'm not =
completely sure=20
where this is leading. I do know that I don't trust anyone! I do think =
that=20
the aliens will have to come to a decision within themselves, =
especially=20
Michael and Isabel about trusting the humans completely. Max trusts =
Liz=20
implicitly and I honestly feel as if he trusts Alex and Maria too(he =
said it=20
in tonights episode but I think he really believes it too). Michael =
and Isabel=20
still have the "aliens vs. humans" mentality and that has to change if =
they=20
all want to stay safe. Very scary stuff tonight though. Topolsky, =
Valenti,=20
Pierce, Nasedo...everyone is suspect and no one's intentions seem =
obvious=20
anymore. Can't wait to see this pan out.</P>
<P>Two interesting quotes:</P>
<P>A) "It's not 3 and 3 Michael, it's the 6 of us" -Liz. This is =
definetly an=20
interesting line (can someone smell the foreshadowing?) and one that =
will=20
prove harder to live by as time goes on I'm sure. It's great that =
these three=20
aliens love these three humans but will they ever be six? Will they =
ever be=20
able to find this true common ground? I love Max and Liz so much and I =
want to=20
see them happy, but their differences become more of an obstacle every =
time=20
they're together. Yes they love each other, yes they feel complete =
when=20
they're together, but as you can see from the previews to next week's =
show,=20
these things can be fleeting. It's all a lot to process. What do you =
guys=20
think?</P>
<P>B) "I just really want this to be over with" -Maria. Another =
interesting=20
line and one that shows how young and perhaps naive Maria and Liz are. =
This=20
line disturbed me a little because it shows that Maria doesn't =
(or=20
won't) fully comprehend the complexity and severity of the situation. =
Michael=20
will never stop being an alien and she'll never stop being a human. =
"This"=20
will never be over. </P>
<P></FONT><FONT size=3D2>4) <STRONG>Tess</STRONG>: Ah, the Tess =
person. To be=20
honest and I swear I'm not saying this as a Max and Liz shipper, I =
really=20
didn't like her introduction into the Pod Squad. It felt incredibly =
forced to=20
me. Isabel is so guarded and has that wall up just as high, if not =
higher than=20
Michael's and yet she so quickly embraced Tess? I know she's lonely =
but it=20
still seemed slightly out of character for her. Also, I didn't find =
her sweet=20
at all, I found her treacly. I think the actress playing her is really =
cute=20
though but not the type of character I would have liked to see come in =
between=20
Max and Liz. My feeling is, if you're going to attempt to stir the pot =
of a=20
couple(which is what Tess is going to do) then you have to at least =
have a=20
character as interesting or likeable as the person she/he is trying to =
replace. Based on tonight, I didn't feel it. I'm hoping that this will =
change=20
as time goes by but I want her to at least be a viable candidate for =
Max's=20
heart. Otherwise, it's all pretty superfluous for me and it's all =
about=20
waiting for Max and Liz to find their way back to each other. Any =
thoughts?=20
</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=3D2>5) <STRONG>The transition to science =
fiction</STRONG>: What I=20
loved about this episode was how well balanced it truly was. Not since =
the=20
pilot, have I felt this enthusiastic about the science fiction of the =
story.=20
Usually I am more intrigued by the hand holding scene in "Sexual =
Healing"=20
between Max and Liz or the bed scene between Maria and Michael in=20
"Independence Day" but tonight I was really into the entire episode. =
This show=20
continues to amaze me with it's writing staff and it's actors and how =
smoothly=20
they make the transition between drama and comedy, bravery and fear, =
all in=20
one episode. This was an incredibly taut episode and I am confident =
that they=20
will be able to sustain this for years to come! (optimism up. American =
flag=20
waving. "Star Spangled Banner playing in the background. A thinly =
veiled plea=20
to write more letters and send more sauce. I will stop now) =
:)</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=3D2>6) <STRONG>Weekly Shallow Post</STRONG>: Everyone =
looked=20
amazing tonight. I have never seen Shiri look better! Maria and Isabel =
looked=20
beautiful as well. Michael, gotta love a guy in a bandana. Alex is =
just always=20
adorable. Jason. Oh my! I'm going to refrain from gushing here but I =
will say=20
that I think he's the best looking man I have ever seen! I also loved =
the=20
Cameron Diaz in "Being John Malkovich" wig that Topolsky wore to the =
Chinese=20
restaurant. For a minute there I thought something was going to fly =
out of it!=20
</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>Again, an incredible episode and =
definetly worth=20
the wait! If this show does not get renewed, then I know that there is =
no=20
longer room on television for quality writing, quality acting and =
quality=20
entertainment. Keep writing those letters!! Take care! Gina=20
