  23. i got home last night only to discover that my *@#$@*%$#@ landlord had 
  24. turned off the power during the course of the day, for some unknown 
  25. reason...so, of course, my vcr was blinking 12:00, and subsequently did 
  26. not record either pc or gh yesterday (monday).  is there anybody out 
  27. there who saw them, and who would be kind enough to post a fairly 
  28. comprehensive update as to what i missed?

  69.      Genie Francis is returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL
  70.      to resume the role of Laura Spencer. Her first
  71.      airdate will be Wednesday, May 20. Laura's return
  72.      to Port Charles will occur after a surprise visit from
  73.      Nikolas (Tyler Christopher). Many more surprises
  74.      are in store when Laura arrives at Wyndemere on
  75.      the night of Stefan (Stephen Nichols) and
  76.      Katherine's (Mary Beth Evans) engagement ball. I
  77.      can't wait to see what happens. While I know the
  78.      story -- I'm so looking forward to seeing Genie act it
  79.      out! Hey Genie -- we're glad you're back where you
  80.      belong! 
  81.  
  82.      Now, on to May sweeps highlights for PORT
  83.      CHARLES and ALL MY CHILDREN. Tomorrow, I'll
  84.      give you the sweeps highlights for ONE LIFE TO
  85.      LIVE and GENERAL HOSPITAL. 
  86.  
  87.      Everything may look the same, but looks are
  88.      deceiving. It's an entire month of mystery on "ABC
  89.      MAYTIME." Art imitates life in Port Charles when
  90.      the fiction of "General Homicide" becomes a real
  91.      unsolved mystery. Expect the unexpected as
  92.      residents of Pine Valley go back to the future and
  93.      unveil secrets of the past that will jeopardize
  94.      everyone's present. 
  95.  
  96.      On PC the word "fiction" takes on a whole new
  97.      meaning. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) had no idea that his
  98.      tall tale, known as "General Homicide," would not
  99.      only reveal secrets from his own past, but would
  100.      also put the entire town in danger as a serial killer
  101.      targets the people Kevin fictionalized in his book. 
  102.  
  103.      While the murder mystery has everyone watching
  104.      their backs, Chris (Nolan North) is finally exposed
  105.      for who he really is -- but again, looks are deceiving.
  106.      As Scott (Kin Shriner) and Eve (Julie Pinson) finally
  107.      give in to absolute pleasure, their new romance is
  108.      already being driven apart by suspicion, as fingers
  109.      point to Eve and no alibi is in sight. The always
  110.      dubious Lucy (Lynn Herring) not only believes that
  111.      Eve is behind the murder, but tries to prove that
  112.      Eve's secret past will help free Kevin from any
  113.      possible blame. Frank (Jay Pickett) careens out of
  114.      control, and Julie's (Lisa Ann Hadley) world comes
  115.      crashing down around her as she struggles to
  116.      understand what has happened to the man she
  117.      loves. Matt (Mitch Longley) and Ellen (Debbi
  118.      Morgan) hit a critical juncture in their relationship,
  119.      as Matt is forced to make a choice between the two
  120.      women in his life. Finally, an unknown woman and
  121.      her child arrive in town and manage to threaten
  122.      Karen (Jennifer Hammon) and Joe's (Michael Dietz)
  123.      relationship. But, why?

  125.      On AMC it's "Mystery Science Theater," Pine
  126.      Valley style. "Murder, mayhem and matrimony"
  127.      unfold as Tad (Michael E. Knight), Adam (David
  128.      Canary), Camille (Schuyler Grant) and Jack (Walt
  129.      Willey) travel to none other than Pigeon Hollow on a
  130.      fact-finding mission to do a little "digging" into the
  131.      past. What they uncover about the death of
  132.      Camille's mother will shock viewers. 
  133.  
  134.      While Jack is off playing good cop, Mike Roy (Nick
  135.      Surovy) is definitely playing bad cop where Erica
  136.      (Susan Lucci) is concerned. Some things never
  137.      change: The sparks between Erica and Mike ignite
  138.      again! Will she give in to old desires, or will she be
  139.      loyal to her good cop, Jackson? This is Erica Kane,
  140.      after all. 
  141.  
  142.      Mateo (Mark Consuelos) continues to "flash
  143.      forward" and it becomes increasingly more evident
  144.      that he must make changes to his and Hayley's
  145.      (Kelly Ripa) life to avoid the peril he keeps seeing
  146.      ahead of them. After a suspicious elevator crash,
  147.      Stuart (David Canary) lies injured in Pine Valley
  148.      Hospital and a devoted Marian (Jennifer Bassey)
  149.      nurses him back to health. Interestingly, all fingers
  150.      point to Camille as the prime suspect in this
  151.      mysterious malfunction. 
  152.  
  153.      Sparks fly as Belinda (Amelia Marshall) and Keith
  154.      (Norm Lewis) go head-to-head when Brooke (Julia
  155.      Barr) goes on trial for murder. Belinda and Trevor
  156.      (James Kiberd) team up to defend. Finally, here
  157.      comes that bride, Janet (Robin Mattson), with her
  158.      groom in question, Axel (Nick Sullivan). Will they
  159.      say their I do's? 
  160.  
  161.      Now, here's a sneak peek at Wednesday's shows.
  162.      On PC, Scott makes a startling discovery in the
  163.      hospital lab! At AMC, Mateo realizes he has "seen"
  164.      virtually everything Brooke describes to him. Over at
  165.      OLTL, Georgie gives Todd and Viki copies of the
  166.      photo she made. And on GH, what is Jerry Jacks
  167.      up to now?

  290. Has anyone else been screaming at their tv sets lately???  The
  291. commercial for GH with Tony's verdict and the consequences of it? 
  292. (I'm assuming that's not a spoiler 'cause I'm not saying what the
  293. commercial showed!)  Why is ABC putting such big spoilers in their
  294. commercials??  It makes it so aggravating -- it's like waiting for the
  295. other shoe to drop for days on end!  They can build suspense without
  296. spoiling the storyline, can't they??  Even TV Guide last week had a
  297. major spoiler for a different ABC soap.  I don't understand this stuff!

  299. On another topic, what does everyone think the Frank storyline on
  300. PC???  Personally, I'm not enjoying it, though the acting is top-rate.
  301.  Frank looks like a whole different person somehow since they changed
  302. his personality.  I realize they have to make Devlin evil for the next
  303. steps to occur, but I really liked Frank better before!

  399. I think that, given Robin's testimony and the fact that
  400. Brad M. is still on contract, the verdict wasn't really in
  401. doubt.  But in principle, I thoroughly agree.  For example,
  402. I would have preferred to see the spoiler that they
  403. revealed about Carly as it happened.

  408. why, oh why didn't she just tell Ned that Helena had

  412. logical thing to do.

  520. Hi all-
  521.  
  522.     Did anyone else catch Carly's little tummy rub today while she was at
  523. the hearing?  Of course it was a Sarah Brown tummy rub, but it made me
  524. laugh nevertheless.  It was just when Tony is put on the stand-- the
  525. camera cuts back to her and she must not have been aware of it.  
  526.     More important random thnoughts :)  I loved the scene with Jason (what
  527. can I say?  Any scene with Jason and I revert back to Jr. high
  528. adolescent crushes) talking about Michael and his family's reaction to
  529. his comments and his love for Michael-- also, Jason's comment about the
  530. 5th amendment "My favorite one" was classic.  When I heard that Jason
  531. really got on Carly's case about what she said to Robin, I was hoping it
  532. was a la the car scene after she called the strike.  Of course, I was
  533. surprised that it was very controlled anger, but I have to admit it was
  534. pretty effective and believable.  Jason isn't an out of control guy, so
  535. to play that would have shown a man who can't handle those kinds of
  536. things.  I must say I really like the way that Steve Burton is playing
  537. this character-- and who was it who wondered how long it would be before
  538. Carly held Michael over his head?  We didn't have to wait for long!  
  539.     I have also been trying to guess what Helena wants with Tony-- does
  540. anyone have any theories?  I can't come up with a one...

  694. Stefan and Kat decide to celebtare their engagement by throwing a 
  695. Bacchanalia Ball.  As guests arrive in masks and costumes, an 
  696. unlikely union is formed between Luke and Alexis which leads to a 
  697. tragic event that will shock everyone.  What masquerade would be 
  698. complete without a little romance?  Elizabeth and Lucky not only 
  699. crash the party but find a moment to trip the light fanatastic.  Mad

  1034. set tour.  So I told him that I *was* wearing a Disney hat.  GH is owned by
  1035. ABC, which is owned by Disney.  So neener, neener, neener.
