  53. sorry to disappoint you, but based on what i've read, that's not it.  
  54. there was a question about that in last week's tvguide chat, which i 
  55. posted here last week sometime, and the guy who does the chats said it's 
  56. not the rape, it's not one of luke's memories that's involved, and in 
  57. fact the questioner had the wrong gender entirely.  (not a direct quote, 
  58. but something like that)  so the implication i got was that this would 
  59. be something to do with a female's past, that has something to do with 
  60. luke, which in my guess would be laura and nik's true paternity.  
  61. (assuming genie comes back, of course...they can't really bring that to 
  62. light without her...can they?)

  64. i wasn't watching back during the rape thing either, and think it would 
  65. be kind of interesting if they WERE to tackle it now (if only so i could 
  66. see the clip--i'm very interested, after all i've heard about it.  if 
  67. you're interested, i think taiyin has a transcript of the scene 
  68. somewhere on her ultimate gh link page)...but in another way i kind of 
  69. agree with something i read (that i can't remember if it was from guza 
  70. or logan) that it would seem kind of irrelevant to deal with that NOW, 
  71. after all these years of marriage.  despite the fact that rapists and 
  72. their victims don't tend to marry, these two obviously did, and have 
  73. been married for many years and countless children, so why rehash it 
  74. now?  (beyond that, what would it do to lucky and lulu if they DID?  
  75. does lucky know?  (anybody know?) lulu's too young, but i would think 
  76. that knowledge would SERIOUSLY affect lucky if he didn't alreay know...)

  566.   Bobbie lashes out when she learns Carly is her daughter
  567.  
  568.    Bobbie's already imperfect world is turned even more upside down this
  569. week when she finds out that Luke knows Carly is her daughter and
  570. deliberately didn't tell her the truth.
  571.    Initially, Bobbie doesn't believe Carly when she tells her that she is
  572. the daughter she gave up at birth, "because Luke said my daughter is dead,"
  573. Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie) says, in character. "There I am saying, "My version
  574. is that you came to Port Charles and looked at my life and decided you
  575. wanted it, and finding out about the daughter I had was a jackpot for you,
  576. and all you had to do was slip right into those shoes.' There's not even a
  577. question in my mind that she could be my daughter."
  578.  
  579.    The irrefutable proof is the unexpected arrival of Carly's adoptive
  580. mother, Virginia Benson, who confirms that Carly is, indeed, Bobbie's
  581. daughter, Caroline. "I look at Virginia and ask, "This is my daughter?' and
  582. she says yes, and I say [to Carly], "You little bitch,' and I walk out of
  583. the room," Zeman says.
  584.  
  585.    Bobbie can hardly comprehend what is happening. Did Luke know he was
  586. lying (when he told her her daughter was dead?) Did Stefan know? Did Carly
  587. know she was Bobbie's daughter when she stole her husband? Did she do it on
  588. purpose? "There's also that mother thing," Zeman adds. "If Carly did all
  589. this, what was my part in it? At one point I say to Virginia, "You and I
  590. aren't responsible' - because Virginia tells Bobbie she thought she raised
  591. Carly better than this, and she apologizes. I tell her Carly has always done
  592. whatever she has wanted to do, but I don't know how much I really believe
  593. that at this moment, because obviously there is something very wrong with
  594. Carly."
  595.  
  596.    Zeman says Bobbie is having a major identity crisis, not only because of
  597. Carly but also because of Luke. "He has been the one constant in her life,"
  598. she explains. "She has learned over the years that your husband can leave
  599. you, your children can die, you can lose your job or your friends, but the
  600. one thing that would always be there was Luke." In harsh confrontation,
  601. Bobbie questions if Luke is really the big brother/protector he has always
  602. claimed to be, and tells him that this deceit has changed things between
  603. them forever." 'You're going to look at me one day and think Bobbie's OK and
  604. we are over it, but we will never be OK and I will never be over it,' she
  605. tells him. I don't say you are out of my life, but I do say that everything
  606. you always claimed you were, you're not."
  607.  
  608.    Adding insult to injury, Bobbie also learns that Luke made a deal with
  609. Jason not to blow Carly's secret if she returned to town within a month.
  610. "The whole world knew? That makes Bobbie even madder," Zeman says. "I was
  611. the only patsy who didn't know! Did it ever occur to anyone to tell me that
  612. Michael is my grandchild? It's total anger and betrayal for Bobbie."
  613.  
  614.    Bobbie isn't the only one who lays into Carly. Tony, who learns that he
  615. was sleeping with his wife's daughter, confronts her.
  616.  
  617.  
  618.  
  619.   Lizzie is the victim of a terrible attack
  620.  
  621.    Nikolas and Sarah's relationship has veered off course since his injury,
  622. despite her numerous attempts to spend time with him. So this week when she
  623. learns that Emily has been helping him with his recovery, Sarah is hurt, and
  624. she decides to avoid contact with him. She does want to go to the
  625. Valentine's Day Dance, however; she asks Lucky, and he agrees to be her
  626. date.
  627.    Sarah doesn't realize that Lizzie really wants to spend time with Lucky,
  628. too. Audrey encourages Lizzie to arrange to meet him at the dance. When she
  629. finds out that her sister beat her to the punch, Lizzie decides to skip the

  787.     In light of the fact that Carly stole Bobbie's husband Tony, and then
  788. lied to Tony in an effort to keep him, telling him he fathered Michael,
  789. Bobbie's reaction is about what you'd expect.
  790.     "I get really mad at her," previews Zeman. "I think she's lying. I say,
  791. 'What is it with you? At the first lovely moment of your life when you are
  792. holding your baby, all you can think of is hurting me by coming up with the
  793. fakakta story? You walked into Port Charles, took a look at my life, decided
  794. you wanted it and stole my husband. And then, finding out about {the
  795. daughter I gave up} was just another little jackpot for you. Now you're
  796. going to pretend to be my daughter? What do you want from me?' "
  797.     In the middle of all this, Carly's adoptive mother, Virginia, walks in
  798. and actually introduces Carly - real name Caroline - to Bobbie. "She says,
  799. 'Caroline, this is your real mother, Bobbie! '  That's when I know it's
  800. true.
  801.     "And in all the drama of the moment, Carly is ripping Tony to shreds.
  802. 'You were such an old fool. It was interesting to be with you for about 5
  803. minutes. I got over that real fast and then it just became about hurting my
  804. mother. '  She totally degrades him with all the Quartermaines standing
  805. around listening. And then to top it all off, Virginia Benson has a stroke
  806. and dies right there!"
  807.     Yikes.
  808.     Next week, Bobbie will put the pieces together and realize that her
  809. beloved brother Luke has known all about Carly. "I head off to Wyndemere to
  810. talk to Stefan," reveals Zeman. "When your brother lies to you and your
  811. daughter lies to you, who else are you going to turn to for the truth but
  812. your mortal enemy?"
  813.     Stefan confirms everything, adding that Luke has known all along. "It's
  814. the ultimate betrayal," shudders Zeman. "How could Luke lie? Put me through
  815. this pain? We have a wonderful scene where I say, ' you've always said you
  816. are my protector. What have you been protecting me from? The worst things
  817. life has to dish out have come from you. You have hurt me more than anyone
  818. else in my l life.' "

  1001. story with Stefan, Kat and his feeling for Laura:

  1003. Guza explains that Stefan is very much in love with Katherine but haunted by
  1004. Laura. Stefan doesn't even realize the depth of his feelings for Laura. Guza
  1005. says that Stefan is the kind of man who will never be completely satisfied.
  1006. There's a place in him that can't be filled...in 10 years he will maybe
  1007. finds the person that fills it - that person could be Katherine or Laura.
  1008. MBE says that Katherine is under the impression that Stefan is over Laura.
  1009. She says that Katherine will be terribly hurt when she does find out. It
  1010. will color everything they've done together. Guza says that they're almost
  1011. playing a Rebecca kind of story which will build to a May sweeps climax
  1012. that's going to be huge - HUGE!

  1078. Bobbie Explodes When She Learns The Truth

  1080. Bobbie will feel a host of emotions including betrayal when it finally sinks
  1081. that Carly is the child she gave up for adoption, and Luke knew about it but
  1082. didn't tell her.
  1083.  
  1084. After Carly finally admits her real paternity, Bobbie believes that Carly
  1085. has stooped lower than ever to tear at her heart like this. She also
  1086. believes what Luke said:   her daughter is dead. Bobbie does not waiver from
  1087. her long-held belief:  Carly came to PC and made moves on everything that
  1088. Bobbie had and she herself wanted. In addition, she believes the Carly used
  1089. the knowledge of the child that "died" has a means to an end.
  1090.  
  1091. However, Bobbie has a complete turnaround after she meets Virginia Benson,
  1092. who came to town to pay Bobbie a visit. When Virginia confirms that the girl
  1093. who calls herself "Carly Roberts" is, in fact, Caroline Benson, she says
  1094. "You little bitch" to Carly and storms out of the room.
  1095.  
  1096. After this happens, Bobbie's begins to wonder who, besides Carly, knew the
  1097. truth. Did Luke? Did Stefan? Did Carly herself know, when she arrived in
  1098. Port Charles and set her sights on Tony (who was married to Bobbie at the
  1099. time), and were her actions willful? On the flip side, Bobbie begins to
  1100. wonder how of of Carly's actions she herself contributed to. Virginia
  1101. reassures Bobbie that neither is responsible. She tells Bobbie that Carly
  1102. always had a mind of her own and acted on it. While Bobbie tries to sort
  1103. through all the information, she comes to grips with the fact that Carly is
  1104. not "all there."
  1105.  
  1106. And then there's the issue of Luke, who until now has always been the one
  1107. constant in her life. Whereas a person can lose the spouse, children, job or
  1108. friends ... Luke transcended all of that. But the realization of this
  1109. betrayal will change the fibers of their relationship and Bobbie will see
  1110. look in a completely different light. Zeman best explained it when she
  1111. [Bobbie] said, 'You're going to look at me one day and think Bobbie's OK and
  1112. we are over it, but we will never be OK and I will never be over it,' she
  1113. tells him. I don't say you are out of my life, but I do say that everything
  1114. you always claimed you were, you're not."
  1115.  
  1116. And if that wasn't enough, Bobbie further learns that Jason also was privy
  1117. to this information, but he also agreed to remain mum about it, provided
  1118. Carly returned within a month. Luke knew? Carly knew? Stefan knew? Jason
  1119. knew? Did Amy also know? And to top things off, she realizes that these
  1120. people never bothered to inform her that Michael was her grandson? Bobbie's
  1121. emotions will give new definition to the terms anger and betrayal.

  1123. And as Carly will find out soon enough, silence is sometimes golden ...
  1124. after Tony also learns that his lover is the biological daughter of his
  1125. [now] ex-wife.

  1135. Valentine's Day Dance, which he accepts.

  1137. Despite Audrey's encouragement that Liz hook up with Lucky at the dance,
  1138. after she arrives she sees that Sarah and Lucky are already together. Rather
  1139. than deal with his heartache she decides to leave the dance to go to a
  1140. movie. But what started out as a bad situation deteriorates into some far
  1141. worse, when Liz is attacked on the way home.

  1152. situation is zilch. She loses out on everything including a chance to work
  1153. at GH.

  1155. What Tony will soon discover the Lorraine will remind him a *lot* of the
  1156. Glenn Close character from the movie Fatal Attraction. Any problems he had
  1157. from Carly will pale by comparison to what happens when Lorraine takes the
  1158. attitude "piss me off and pay the consequences."

  1415. - -Of all the leading men, who was your favorite and which one do you miss 
  1416. now? Who would you like to see come back of them 
  1417.  
  1418. JZ: Laughs.... Normally my favorite leading man is the one I'm working 
  1419. with currently.... Of course, I don't have one right now! 
  1420.  
  1421. I've been fortunate to have the best.... both on personal and 
  1422. professional levels, and I would be delighted to have any one of them 
  1423. come back! 
  1424.  
  1425. I keep in touch with Rick Springfield, who livees in Malibu... we 
  1426. cohosted an event for Cystic Fibrosis.  We had a 20th Anniversary party, 
  1427. and David Groh and Rick both came!  Kin Shriner also came..... we go 
  1428. back 20 years as buds on the show! Sam Behrens (who's married to
  1429. Shari Belafonte) is also a good friend.... they live close to us here in 
  1430. Malibu!

  1432. - -What do you consider your finest work on GH? 
  1433.  
  1434. JZ: Tough question.... Some of the most challenging materials I've ever 
  1435. been given was the BJ storyline (the emotional committment takes you 
  1436. into terrifying territory)..... 
  1437.  
  1438. .... the Carly/Bobbie storyline is interesting, because of my 
  1439. relationship with my real daughters (pre-teens both!) Not to say my life 
  1440. mirrors the one on GH, but there are similarities to my real life. 
  1441.  
  1442. - -Jackie, I wanted to ask you, Will Bobbie ever forgive Carly for her 
  1443. deception? 
  1444.  
  1445. JZ: If you had asked me that question before I became a real mom, I 
  1446. would have said no, but now that I'm a real-life mom, I look at the 
  1447. situation, and I say, of course there's a future, because that's life! 
  1448.  
  1449. The interesting thing for the audience will be how we get to that 
  1450. point.... 
  1451.  
  1452. - -What kind of relationship do you and Sarah Brown have off camera? 
  1453.  
  1454. JZ: I'm so pleased to work with her, that it's spilled over into an 
  1455. admiration from me for her. She's honost, straight forward, she always 
  1456. knows the scenes, and gives the best performance.... that's the best 
  1457. compliment you can give an actress, because she doesn't come off as a 
  1458. young woman, she is a mature adult. She is really fabulous in this part. 
  1459.  
  1460. - -When Bob Guza first created the Bobbie/Carly storyline, did you ever 
  1461. think it would be the enormous story it turned out to be, and that it 
  1462. would touch so many characters? 
  1463.  
  1464. JZ: I had no idea... I'm a huge Bob Guza fan, and he's so good at taking 
  1465. a reality-based storyline and making it very real on a soap opera.... He 
  1466. makes me feel that it all meshes together, and balances the reality with 
  1467. the craziness that is so much a part of GH. 
  1468.  
  1469. - -What do you think of baby Michael? 
  1470.  
  1471. JZ: They are twins, you know! They are beautiful. We started with these 
  1472. two, who were premies, a few days before the holidays. I feel like I've 
  1473. bonded with them.  I shouldn't speak for Steve Burton, but I think he 
  1474. feels the same way; I love playing a grandmother, even though I didn't 
  1475. think it would be happening so soon! 
  1476.  
  1477. This has been a few years in the making, an I'm gratefull that the 
  1478. writers did this in a way that Carly has a whole life of her own, and 
  1479. her own history. It has a lot more meaning this way! I can't go anywhere 
  1480. in public without someone asking me ''when is Carly going to tell 
  1481. you?!'' We're in the midst of ratings sweeps right now, so the timing on 
  1482. this revelation is great! 
  1483.  
  1484. - -We all know that the one constant in Bobbie's life was the trust she 
  1485. and Luke had. Now that Luke has broken the trust, what are the chances 
  1486. of them mending fences in the near future? 
  1487.  
  1488. JZ: I believe that those fences will get mended, but the breakdown and 
  1489. betrayal that Bobbie is feeling right now has put her in a crossroads, 
  1490. an identity crisis, where she's realizing that you can only depend on
  1491. yourself, and you have to take responsibility for all the good and bad 
  1492. in your life and that pointing a finger is not the way to go. There's an 
  1493. upcoming confrontation between Bobbie and Luke that's such an identity 
  1494. crisis for her to realize. 
  1495.  
  1496. The audience will like this, and it was so well written. In my 
  1497. relationship with Luke, he's always been the ''big brother'', and now 
  1498. there's a role reversal with the Carly/Bobbie thing where Bobbie is now 
  1499. the older personality! 
  1500.  
  1501. - -Jackie, I was at Super Soap Weekend '97, and I loved seeing you there! 
  1502. Did you have as much fun as I did? 
  1503.  
  1504. JZ: That was a fun weekend, wasn't it?! What a great opportunity - I 
  1505. hope I'm invited back again next year! 
  1506.  
  1507. - -When you're on the set are there any times when you can't stop 
  1508. laughing? 
  1509.  
  1510. JZ: Occassionally, but not often, because we 80-90 pages of dialogue a 
  1511. day, which is a lot of ground to cover; no time to fool around! 
  1512.  
  1513. Brad Maule is so humorless, serious on the show, but he's the most 
  1514. underrated actor - in real life, he's a funny guy! They should see in 
  1515. between takes.... 
  1516.  
  1517. - -What's your favorite thing you've done for a Nurse's Ball? 
  1518.  
  1519. JZ: The dance that Luke and Bobbie did - last year, the disco dance to 
  1520. Donna Summer's ''Last Dance''!  We had so much fun!  The flashbacks, the 
  1521. rehersals; we were a couple of kids thrown back into our youth! Maybe 
  1522. we'll get to do a 30's or 50's thing next time....Tony has a dance 
  1523. background, and he's such a good dancer! 
  1524.  
  1525. - -Do you see a big rivalry in store, between Monica and Bobbie? 
  1526.  
  1527. JZ: Possibly, because where that grandchild is concerned, everyone'll 
  1528. want that piece! It'll be interesting to see who gets his allegiance 
  1529. once he grows up. I don't think the Quartermaines are good at sharing, 
  1530. so there will be a bit of push-pull there.... I'm sure Bob Guza 
  1531. (headwriter) has some things up his sleeve..... I asked him how far 
  1532. ahead he was writing, but he's not telling! 
  1533.  
  1534. - -Jackie, What is your favorite memory working on General Hospital? 
  1535.  
  1536. JZ: One: Emotionally memorable scenes have been with my family on the 
  1537. show, because they're the ones I'm most bonded to in real life - Lucas, 
  1538. BJ (Brighton Hereford).... Brighton was BJ from 6 months old, she was 
  1539. the first child with pictures on my refrigerator.... I still
  1540. have it! 
  1541.  
  1542. - -Jackie, the clothes on GH are fabulous. Who are the designers and do 
  1543. you have a hand in choosing the wardrobe for Bobbie? 
  1544.  
  1545. JZ: Well, Bob Miller and Steve Howard are the designers team. Most of 
  1546. the things you see (esp. coutiuer) are designed by them. They have 
  1547. Emmies for their design. 
  1548.  
  1549. I do have a little say in the look, more than the actual clothes... I 
  1550. pick things from magazines, and they'll buy things from magazines, and 
  1551. they'll buy things from design warehouses (esp. from NY). 
  1552.  
  1553. I hope they found me a gown for the Soap Opera Digest Awards... :) 
  1554. He has such great taste. 
  1555.  
  1556. - - Do you have a dance background too? 
  1557.  
  1558. JZ: Yes, I was a professional dancer, and started when I was 5 in New 
  1559. Jersey. I took Ballet, Tap, Jazz, etc. and now my own daughters are 
  1560. doing dance - I'm so proud of them! 
  1561.  
  1562. Dance background teaches you discipline, focus, and that if you pay your 
  1563. dues, and get good , it'll pay off. You become a much more hard-working 
  1564. person.... that's what it gave me. 
  1565.  
  1566. - -Will Tony and Bobbie ever get back together? I know I am not in the 
  1567. majority, but I liked them together, and would like to see them back 
  1568. together. 
  1569.  
  1570. JZ: Perhaps.... I think there's so much water under the bridge that to 
  1571. do that now would be untrue to life.  She's really over Tony right now, 
  1572. she needs to heal from Luke's betrayal, the disfunctional relationship 
  1573. with Cassadine. She needs to find herself, heal herself, and the next 
  1574. relationship should be a healthy one with a terrific
  1575. guy... don't know who that'll be..... 
  1576.  
  1577. Spiritually women want to see Bobbie finally get with the right guy.... 
  1578.  
  1579. - -Who would you like to see Bobbie paired with romantically? 
  1580.  
  1581. JZ: It may be someone on the show, but no one yet that I've got my 
  1582. sights on... It's always best if you develop from the stories/characters 
  1583. already there, but the Bobbie/Tony thing won't happen. I hope it'll be 
  1584. someone new....Wendy Riche will find someone fabulous! 
  1585.  
  1586. - -Was General Hospital your first television roll? 
  1587.  
  1588. JZ: No.... my longest though, 21 years! My first job on tv was a 
  1589. commercial for Jergen's soap - selling soap in a bathtub in a bank vault 
  1590. for 30 sec.!  My next was on ''Edge of Night'' with Dixie Carter and 
  1591. Tony Craig.... My first contract role was on ''One Life to Live'', with 
  1592. Jameson Parker - 22 or 23 years ago, for 2 years. 
  1593.  
  1594. Then GH came along, and that was great, because I didn't audition or 
  1595. screentest, and they offered the Bobbie role to me. It was such a boost 
  1596. to my confidence and self-esteem that I JUMPED at it! and 21 years 
  1597. later.... 
  1598.  
  1599. - -Jackie, Happy 20th Anniversary, how much longer do you plan to stick 
  1600. around GH? I hope a long tiome!  :) 
  1601.  
  1602. JZ: Thank you very much! I do plan to stick around at least for the next 
  1603. few years, and I love my work, my job and my tv extended family.... this 
  1604. was my dream to do work like this. The audience is so
  1605. supportive, and the writers have come up with great material for me to 
  1606. do (esp. when I've been there so long). 
  1607.  
  1608. - -Do you or your family watch GH when it is on tv? 
  1609.  
  1610. JZ: Not everyday, but occassionally. Lacey was 3 when we were in the 
  1611. bathroom one day, and she looked at me and said ''You're Bobbie! You 
  1612. were crying, and Grammie said you were pretending.'' 
  1613.  
  1614. Both the girls are familiar with the set, and when they're out of 
  1615. school, they're there. They know everyone by the children of the other 
  1616. actors! My kids are on the Christmas episodes every year.... 
  1617.  
  1618. - -What's the most tear-jearking scene you've ever done? 
  1619.  
  1620. JZ: Probably when BJ died... people tell me about their reactions from 
  1621. people who experienced it in real life. 
  1622.  
  1623. - -What is your relationship with Tony Geary like off camera? Do you get 
  1624. along well? 
  1625.  
  1626. JZ: Always! And he's so cool, and he's great with kids (esp. for a 
  1627. single guy). He loves musicals, and my girls like to see videos with 
  1628. him. He's so generous and thoughtful, and I've transferred his being my 
  1629. tv big brother to being a part of my real family. 
  1630.  
  1631. - -Have you or would you ever want to direct an episode? 
  1632.  
  1633. JZ: Well, I don't think so... never had the desire to direct, but 
  1634. producing is interesting to me... The acting is easy for me, so I enjoy 
  1635. it because it doesn't feel like work anymore. Producing would bring 
  1636. along new territory, and that would be interesting to try in the future, 
  1637. but not right now... I'm comfortable right now. 
  1638.  
  1639. - -Will Bobbie help Carly through the death of her mother Virginia? 
  1640.  
  1641. JZ: I don't think so... Carly lied about the situation with her, 
  1642. pretending that Virginia was dead, even her own name (Caroline).... 
  1643. Bobbie is so angry and turned off to her that she can't get passed that 
  1644. right now, and it'll take time to lose the resentment towards her. 
  1645. That's sad, but the reality of the moment.... 
  1646.  
  1647. - -Are you glad the secret is finally out? 
  1648.  
  1649. JZ: Yes! I've been wanting these scenes for so long, and I was curious 
  1650. as to how they were going to structure this, and when I got the script, 
  1651. I was in heaven! 
  1652.  
  1653. - -Hi... Do you know anything about the GH primetime special? 
  1654.  
  1655. JZ: Yes! Mostly because we're shooting a hunk of it tomorrow.... It's a 
  1656. history of GH from the WHOLE 35 years it's been on, all the characters, 
  1657. all the hairstyles :), and Kin Shriner and I are doing the 70's - 80's 
  1658. section of the program. 
  1659.  
  1660. I think it's on April 2nd (?) at 10 pm on ABC - It'll be a very good 
  1661. show.... especially for anyone who has a history with the show! 
  1662.  
  1663. - -What is Stephen Nichols like to work with? Will Stefan and Bobbie ever 
  1664. get back together? 
  1665.  
  1666. JZ: Well Stephen is very professional, prepared actor. I didn't watch 
  1667. him when he was Patch on ''Days,'' and I'm told they're very different, 
  1668. but he is absolutely wonderful here. 
  1669.  
  1670. I feel the relationship between Bobbie and him had potential for a real 
  1671. spark, but the overzealousness to get the Stefan-Catherine thing left 
  1672. the Bobbie-Stefan thing kinda hanging.... part of that was just bad 
  1673. timing: Bob Guza had left, and we had different writers, and now Bob's 
  1674. back, but in the meantime, the storylines were written. 
  1675.  
  1676. Personnally I'm a little sad, and would've loved to see it bloom. 
  1677.  
  1678. - -Ms. Zeman, I apologize for joining the chat late. I just wanted to let 
  1679. you know how much I have enjoyed your portrayal of Bobbie.... from the 
  1680. time you first joined the show. Do you find it difficult to balance your 
  1681. work and your family life? You seem to manage it all so well! 
  1682.  
  1683. JZ: What a lovely thing to say! Thanks for the compliment! Some days I 
  1684. do it well, and other days it's not so easy.... My kids are already 
  1685. thinking about what they want to do with their lives and how to go about 
  1686. getting there. There are days when, like all working mothers, I get 
  1687. pangs of guilt, but I think our family has found a happy medium. 
  1688. My daughter Cassidy (in 2nd grade) gets paid $2 a script to read lines 
  1689. with me at night!!! 
  1690.  
  1691. - -If you could make up your storyline for the next 6 months, what would 
  1692. it be? 
  1693.  
  1694. JZ: OOOOHhhh.... Probably pretty close to where it is right now... I'd 
  1695. like to see her meet somebody, and someone get interested on her, and 
  1696. she not be anxious to jump right in. I want the audience to see that 
  1697. just because you're over 40 doesn't mean you have to be single. 
  1698.  
  1699. I want to see what happens with Carly, and how we get through that... 
  1700. and what goes on with Lucas, because he's not in the storyline enough. 
  1701.  
  1702. Soaps do have a tendancy (and GH like all others) to gove the romance 
  1703. over to the younger characters, and I believe that when you hit 40, you 
  1704. get married, you wear neglige's and get sexy in bed, and we should be 
  1705. able to see that!

  1707. - -Do you ever visit General Hospital Web sites? 
  1708.  
  1709. JZ: I don't have a computer at GH, and at home, my husband and kids are 
  1710. always on it.... I have to get on it more!

  1712. - -Ms Zeman, you are obviously aware of the legions of fans you have on 
  1713. the internet. Do you ever read any of the newsgroups to see what we are 
  1714. saying about GH? 
  1715.  
  1716. JZ: Once, someone sent me a transcript, but I can only see them now if 
  1717. someone prints them for me! I find it fascinating because this is all so 
  1718. new, but now I'm beginning to realize that you have to be hip to this!

  1720. - -Were you happy with the show today?

  1722. JZ: I haven't seen that show, but earlier I was at Planet Hollywood with 
  1723. Sarah Brown (Carly), and saw a little clip on this HUGE screen! We did 
  1724. tape it though, so I'll see it tonite. I don't usually watch, though, 
  1725. because the last thing I wanna do after a long day of shooting it's the 
  1726. last thing I want to see.
