  21. was just too funny!  but beyond those scenes--i don't think i was SUPPOSED 
  22. to find the rest of it so funny.  but i DID...

  24. like jax telling v a book wouldn't be a good distraction for brenda, 
  25. because it required too much concentration--she needed something simpler.  
  26. i found that line HILARIOUS!  and that idiotic man playing in the dirt down 
  27. in texas?  come on--i guess we're supposed to assume this doll has some 
  28. sort of value to him, right?  so...he hadn't even MARKED where he buried 
  29. it!  he just expected to randomly dig in the dirt and find it???  puh-
  30. leeze.  he'd be more likely to bury it permanently with THAT method...

  32. come to think of it--i guess i really SHOULDN'T find all that funny, 
  33. becuase it's just further evidence that things are still pretty pathetic on 
  34. the gh front.  (and likely to get worse still before they get better.)  but 
  35. at least i wasn't SOBBING by the time it was over!  i'll consider that 
  36. progress...

  38. and while we're (sort of) on the subject...i totally agree (again), taiyin.  
  39. could jax BE more pathetic???  i can understand wanting to help a 
  40. friend...but he just has WIMP written all over himself at this point.  in 
  41. those previews?  what right has he to go to JASON regarding brenda at this 
  42. point???  let her fight her own battles for a change!  this rushing-to-the-
  43. rescue-of-the-damsel-in-distress routine only makes HIM look like an idiot. 
  44. (which is a shame, becuase once upon a time--back when he first came on the 
  45. scene and was after lois--i really LIKED him as a character.  he had LIFE 
  46. then.  of course, so did brenda...)

  48. also, on a related subject--lois is back for three days, right?  if that 
  49. millisecond of an appearance yesterday counts as one of the three...that's 
  50. just SAD!

  64. Julie, you are so right! If yesterday counted as one of her comeback days, I
  65. feel totally taken. It was so perfect that Lila set this all up and that
  66. Emily was there for it. And I have to admit that I was laughing yesterday
  67. too and I wouldn't mind doing it more often. I think that there used to be
  68. much more in the way of comedic moments when K&L were around and with Luke
  69. still away, I feel deprived.

  172. i was really reminded yesterday--even though her scenes weren't all that 
  173. great (in my opinion)--how much her presence adds to the show.  she just 
  174. SPARKLES, no matter WHAT she's doing--comedy, tragedy, rage...her EYES are 
  175. just so into whatever it is she's expressing at the moment.  it's a level 
  176. of intensity that not everybody has on such a consistent basis.  rena, 
  177. PLEASE COME BACK!!!

  180. had brought brenda's best friend to visit means we can expect an appearance 
  181. by her soon too.  i know she's coming--i just don't know WHEN.  anybody?

  184. least somewhat tall, since she TOWERS over robin.  it's not hard to tower 
  185. over her though, and now she seems tall with EVERYBODY.  maybe the wardrobe

  189. yesterday's show.  i'm POSITIVE that look as brenda answered the door, and 
  190. those lines between brenda and jax (roughly...b: "you're not staying?"  j: 
  191. "i hadn't planned on it."  b: "why not?") HAVE to be completely out of 
  192. context, designed to get me furious (or curious) enough to tune in.  so 
  193. i'll try not to get TOO carried away in advance!  (such restraint!  aren't 
  194. you impressed?  :)

  210. be dumb enough to make up a folder labeled "english test answers," or 
  211. whatever that folder said???  or who would bother to lock up those answers, 
  212. and then leave the key RIGHT THERE?  or who would consider a dropped pen 
  213. evidence worthy of an accusation of theft?  or who, even if they DID come 
  214. to this wildly ridiculous conclusion, would accuse the suspected party in 
  215. front of the entire class???

  217. and while we're on the subject...when was the last time you had a test with 
  218. that sort of answer sheet for a normal old class?  the SAT, or other 
  219. standardized tests...sure.  but no teacher i had ever gave us tests like 
  220. that.  especially not for an english class.

  284. Well, I didn't think her scenes were sensational, either.  But at least she
  285. wasn't a pod person.  I liked the fact that she didn't just summarily
  286. dismiss Sonny's feelings for Brenda (which was, IMO, the most asinine thing
  287. about the way Sonny left).  She KNOWS that Sonny loved Brenda.  She just
  288. also knows that Sonny is one screwed up Cubano.

  317. episode, what was that about?), I did like Monica's parting shot at Carly,

  319. Monica off.  Then again, I suppose it's safe to assume that neither Monica
  320. nor Keesha are going to stay quiet for very long... and they'll both take
  321. pains to make Carly's life miserable. <vbg>

  419. oh i TOTALLY agree.  i was really glad she was there, and saying the things 
  420. she was saying...i just don't think we were getting vintage lois!

  422. but i'm definitely with you in my relief that SOMEBODY finally admitted 
  423. that sonny and brenda both had/have REAL feelings for each other.  because 
  424. the rest of these characters sure aren't.  somebody said SOMETHING 
  425. yesterday--and now i can't for the life of me remember who it was (edward? 
  426. jax? somebody else?) or what they said--but it was one of those statements 
  427. completely dismissing sonny and his feelings for brenda and her feelings 
  428. for him, and that's just REALLY been pissing me off, constantly, since

  874. ago.  I was watching it back then, and though I don't remember clearly a
  875. lot of things that happened after the rape and before they fell in love, I

  877. was attracted to Luke-- and I think she was, though she was married to
  878. Snotty at the time-- it was quite clearly not consensual sex.  If I

  1011. many times for my taste), but they don't serve ANY purpose (imho) if 
  1012. they're used the very next day after the original scene aired.  it's a 
  1013. colossal waste of time (and on a half-hour soap, no less!)

  1015. in addition, out of curiosity--regarding scotty's predicament.  the man (to 
  1016. the best of MY knowledge) has no history of drug use, and none of his 
  1017. friends or family have seen anything (other than these two episodes) that

  1019. respected family in the town, and just about everybody knows him.  (no, i'm 
  1020. not saying people from respected families don't use drugs.  just that i 
  1021. think this fact would be enough for some people in pc to give him 
  1022. the benefit of the doubt...)  so wouldn't you think--especially when 
  1023. rex/danielle appears and sues for custody as a result of this little 
  1024. incident--that SOMEBODY would figure out this just REEKS of a setup?  i 
  1025. mean, i know the cops is gh are beyond stupid...but this just doesn't make

  1103. the truth, but in the end the way he handled it was BEAUTIFUL!  The way he
  1104. handled it made it IMPOSSIBLE for Devlin to accuse Frank of trying to drive
  1105. a wedge between him and his daughter, even though Frank would probably like
  1106. nothing more.

  1108. And, I must say, for as much as I can't stand Devlin (in a love-to-hate
  1109. type way, as opposed to the way I can't stand Rex, which is in a
  1110. major-yawn-wake-me-up-when-he's-done-blathering type way), I was really
  1111. impressed with the scene yesterday with Julie about Buddy.  As suprised as
  1112. I was to realize it, I found myself believing him.  And, once the scene was
  1113. over I could still believe him, because it's really easy to see how his
  1114. feelings about failing Buddy would lead to his being a jackass when it
  1115. comes to meddlign in his daughter's life.
  1116.  
  1117. Not that I like him, but I think I needed a moment like that to keep from
  1118. always seeing him as a jerk.  Though he has had a couple really cool
  1119. moments with Eve.

  1121. Now, GH:

  1123. I LOVEDLOVEDLOVEDLOVED the fact that Brenda was looking at and listening to
  1124. Mary Mae's CD at the beginning of the ep.  That was GREAT.

  1127. more of a jerk than I especially like.

  1130. Lorraine, though.  Woo hoo!  I *do* love that name for her, though.  I wish
  1131. it would catch on.  I am kinda miffed that Lorraine is such a parasite,
  1132. though, because I love the actress and I'd love to see her stick around a
  1133. bit.  I did enjoy their mutual threat session, too.  Finally, someone who's
  1134. got Snarly's number and isn't above sticking it to her.  <g>

  1305. Today he does improve a bit, though.  After Eve takes Scott's blood test to
  1306. Jake, she ends up telling Scott the name of her friend that is running the
  1307. tests.  Scott freaks, but he does probably the smartest thing I've seen in
  1308. a while:  he tells Eve why he doesn't want Jake to have his blood test.
  1309.  
  1310. I think it's a good choice for a few reasons:  (a) if Eve is going to come
  1311. down on anybody's side in this situation, it's going to be Scott's; (b) she
  1312. can keep her eyes open for him; and (c) from a writing standpoint, it
  1313. widens the circle of people involved in this storyline, which helps smooth
  1314. out and increase interaction.

  1323. Jerk... WOW.  He was fabulous.  And his conversation with Ellen beforehand,

  1325. consideration for a surgical residency, was fabulous.  I really like the
  1326. way they are always so starkly different in their knee-jerk reactions, but
  1327. they both still respect the way the other does things... even if they think
  1328. they're wrong.

  1348. Fabulous.  But today they were awesome, too.  Frank flat out told him that
  1349. he didn't buy his act.  Of course Devlin feigned innocence, but the scene
  1350. was great.  And it was even better after Julie showed up and they spent
  1351. lunch trying to out do each other -- the power struggle going on there was
  1352. great to watch.  And, in the end, the only hand up Devlin could get on
  1353. Frank was to point out that he had food on his face.  The whole thing was
  1354. fabulously symbolic.

  1365. designed soley for the purpose of getting him off the hook with her, but I
  1366. think what I liked about the exchange was that it provided a deeper, and
  1367. certainly less trite than your typical spoiled, rich Daddy's Girl routine,
  1368. level of explanation for why Devlin is so meddlesome in Julie's life.

  1459. investigation into the explosion, and some determination that it started in 
  1460. cooper's room?  and wouldn't that be a tad suspicious, since cooper was 
  1461. supposed to be catatonic?  and wouldn't people therefore check out the body 
  1462. found in the room, and check dental records or something to figure out that 
  1463. is ISN'T in fact cooper?  for that matter, hasn't anybody noticed the 
  1464. PRIEST is missing?  between cooper and rex--things are just working out so 
  1465. EASILY for them.  maybe that's why i don't find them terribly convincing as 
  1466. villains...

  1488. opening credits since he left with a sort of morbid fascination, constantly 
  1489. expecting to find they've edited him out of the credits.  (which, 
  1490. thankfully, hasn't happened yet.  somehow i think that will be a very sad 
  1491. day...)  i was, however, impressed with mike and jason's scenes yesterday 
  1492. (even though i found it hard to reconcile the mike on pc with the mike on 
  1493. gh.  hmmmm...continuity problems?  who'd of thunk?)  i especially liked, 
  1494. after mike left, how jason pushed the desk chair back in, kind of like he 
  1495. was putting everything back to exactly how it had been when sonny left.  a 
  1496. minor detail, but it revealed more about jason and how he's dealing with 
  1497. all of this than a year's worth of dialogue.

  1600. Well, I think it's a testiment to how MONUMENTALLY STUPID this whole
  1601. teenage storyline is that the only decent scene Jonathon Jackson has had in
  1602. MONTHS was the on he had with Amber from Wednesday.  The short little scene
  1603. where Emily started telling him about the cafe and when he automatically
  1604. asked "What was his name?" was ADORABLE.
  1605.  
  1606. And I loved the background with Deenie (sp?) telling Lizzie that if anyone
  1607. messes with Emily Lucky steps right in.
  1608.  
  1609. Suprisingly enough, despite her motives, I did like watching Lizzie swoop
  1610. in (though I would have prefered Em take care of herself, failing that,
  1611. Lucky rescuing her would have been highly sweet).  Her little "golly gee"
  1612. routine with Lucky afterward was moronic, but I did like watching her tell
  1613. that snot where to go.  The personality bit was cute.
  1614.  
  1615. And I LOVEDLOVEDLOVEDLOVED watching Kathrine, Luke and Stefan.  I never in
  1616. a million years thought I'd hear myself say that.  They were fabulous.  I
  1617. LOVED the way she told Stefan that Luke using her and discarding her when
  1618. he was finished was no different than what he had done himself. And I LOVED
  1619. that she was starting to show shades of the old bitch who blackmailed Ned
  1620. into marraige and tried to hussle Scott.  She was a FAR more interesting
  1621. character back then.  And the potential for her to end up helping Luke do
  1622. battle with Stefan is delighting my black little heart. <vbg>
  1623.  
  1624. And, finally, Stefan and Alexis from Wednesday.  Whoa!  His, "I steer and
  1625. you row" comment would have had me saying, "Oh, you think so, eh pal?  How
  1626. would you like to try rowing all by yourself, you pompus, controlling,
  1627. intrusive, SOB?!?!"
  1628.  
  1629. And then when he told her that he didn't approve of her relationship with
  1630. Ned?  Ohohohohoh, I don't THINK so, buster!  Does the phrase, "None of your
  1631. damn business" mean anything to you?  Creep.  I mean, please.
  1632.  
  1633. It is deliciously ironic, though.  She did the same thing to Katherine and
  1634. Stefan that he is trying to do with her and Ned, only she called him on it
  1635. and he fessed up, whereas she got away with it (so far).  She knows he
  1636. would expell her from the family if he ever found out what she did, but she
  1637. then ends up buckling when he tries to do the same thing to her.
  1638.  
  1639. I was extremely disappointed in Alexis, though.  She started out SO well,
  1640. telling him to stay out of her personal life.  But she backed down WAY too
  1641. much for my taste.  And his comment about how he would prefer she not have
  1642. anything to do with Ned when he returns... he was asking for it then.
  1643. Jeez.  It really irritates me that she didn't tell him to, er, pardon the
  1644. phrase, blow it out his ear.
  1645.  
  1646. I really can't wait until Guza gives us that split in the house of
  1647. Cassidine between Alexis and Stefan.  At least then she will stop giving in
  1648. to him.

  1787. them, but, I have to admit, Ingo is a babe.  Ingo is still a blond, but
  1788. he's a blonde BABE.  Got pix with both of them and am hoping like hell they
  1789. turn out.

  1791. Played craps with Julie Pinson (Eve, PC).  Actually, we both learned
  1792. together, she was "running" the table but didn't know how to play.  Suze
  1793. went to take a picture of us together and at that exact moment a
  1794. photographer from the soap press (who were EVERYWHERE) ran up and got a
  1795. shot too.  Yikes. The thought of anyone else having a full-length shot of
  1796. me standing next to that skinny, gorgeous little thing is enough to make me
  1797. break out in hives.  Anyway, she was very cool.  We talked about both of us
  1798. being Bay Area Brats and I told her how totally impressed I was with her
  1799. first scenes when Even and Devlin first faced-off in the Scanlon kitchen;
  1800. she was really sweet and grateful.  And she permanently ingraciated herself
  1801. to me because she remembered my name everytime I ran into her for the rest
  1802. of the evening and when I went through the autograph line she autographed
  1803. my notebook with a line about playing craps with her.  
  1804.  
  1805. Nolan North (Chris, PC) was totally in love with my name, he and Rib (Jake)
  1806. were having fun with it;  highly amusing.  Nick Branden (Xander, Buffy) is
  1807. tons more of a babe in RL(tm) than I ever imagined -- he has the most
  1808. EXTRAORDINARY eyes.  And Alyson Hannigan (Willow, Buffy) was SO sweet.  
  1809.  
  1810. Didn't get to see Kin, he wasn't there long and the autograph line was
  1811. BRUTAL.  My friend, Suze, saw him, though.  About half the GH/PC people
  1812. ended up leaving the table before I got up there, but the ones that I
  1813. really wanted to see were there.  Saw Sharon Wyatt (Tiffany, GH).  She
  1814. looks SENSATIONAL.  She isn't a blond anymore, she's got redish, very light
  1815. brown hair and looks incredible.
  1816.  
  1817. Jonathon Jackson and his band (brother, father and uncle) performed early
  1818. in the evening.  Somebody shoot me, please.  I like OLDER men, usually
  1819. quite a bit older.  But in this case... jeez.  It was frightening.  The
  1820. only consolation I can offer my horrified self is that he was decked out,
  1821. head to toe, in black leather.  It must have shut down my brain.  Jail
  1822. bait.  Sheesh.
  1823.  
  1824. Didn't get to see Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna, Voyager).  Correction, I saw
  1825. her, but I didn't get her autograph and didn't get a picture with her.  She
  1826. was there when I got into the line, but gone by the time I got out of it.
  1827.  
  1828. Anthony Stweart Head (Giles, Buffy) sang two songs, "Every Breath You Take"
  1829. and something else.  Suze was a saint and sat in the autograph line will I
  1830. sat on the floor at the foot of the stage five feet from him taking pics of
  1831. him for Cagey and Jill <g>.  He was SCRUMPTIOUS.  He had an earing.  I had
  1832. a few highly lustful moments.
  1833.  
  1834. The Buffy fen, by and large, were obnoxious.  They were REALLY irritating.
  1835. The soap fans were very cool, though.  And Trek fans are Trek fans no
  1836. matter where you go -- so they were cool.
  1837.  
  1838. BUT the piece de resistance of the evening was the silent auction.  I 
  1839. had no intention of bidding on ANYTHING while I was there.  But I 
  1840. started cruising the tables and saw a few things that I wanted, so I 
  1841. bid on quite a bit but I didn't counter-bid on most of them.  But ONE 
  1842. item I decided I *had* to have.  So I kept bidding, and bidding and 
  1843. bidding.  I'm probably nuts, but it was worth it because I ended up with A
  1844. SET TOUR OF PORT CHARLES!!!!!! <happy dance>  
  1845.  
  1846. I hope like hell that I can arrange it for after the new year, though,
  1847. because I am out of vacation days for this year.  But, no matter what, I
  1848. *am* arranging it for a day when Jon and Lynn are shooting, damnit!  I also
  1849. get lunch with Denise (Rhonda, PC) at the commisary.  
  1850.  
  1851. Crystal Carson was a great hostess, and everythig moved really 
  1852. smoothly.
  1853.  
  1854. And the food, GODS!  Amazing.  I've been to a LOT of charity events 
  1855. (all potlicial, I admit) and NEVER has there been a food spread like 
  1856. that.  It was AWESOME.  Too bad I was still too stuffed from my junk 
  1857. food earlier to enjoy it.  Suze says the egg rolls were good. :-)
  1858.  
  1859. The High Lonesome was fabulous (Jon doesn't really play with them anymore,
  1860. so he wasn't there).  They played for about an hour -- easily twice as long
  1861. as ANYBODY else.  And they rocked.  They are still the only band that can
  1862. ALWAYS get me to dance.
  1863.  
  1864. Anyway, it was INCREDIBLE.  This is DEFINITELY going to become an annual
  1865. event for me.  But by the end of the evening my feet were killing me.  Memo
  1866. to self:  more comfortable shoes next year.

  2147. Last night I watched Friday and Monday of both shows, so my distinction
  2148. between one day and the other is a tad blurred, but there were a few
  2149. comments I wanted to make.

  2151. First and foremost:  Wow.  That would easily apply to Luke & Alexis; Julia
  2152. & Brenda; Ben, Eve & Julie.
  2153.  
  2154. First of all, Luke and Alexis.  I LOVED Luke's comment from Friday (I
  2155. think) where he told Alexis that Stefan NEVER surprises him, but that she
  2156. does.  He pointed out that Alexis was the truest kind of Cassidine and that
  2157. it must get hard being Stefan's "foot soldier."  Aside from the fact that I
  2158. think he's right (I think Alexis is easily ten times smarter than Stefan
  2159. is), I love the foreshadowing back to what Guza told Logan:  that soon
  2160. there will be a major split between Stefan and Alexis and she will prove to
  2161. be the 'quintessential' Cassidine.  I hope it's soon because, as Luke
  2162. pointed out, she's been playing Stefan's lackey recently and it's getting
  2163. tiresome.  She's too smart for that.
  2164.  
  2165. Next, Julia and Brenda:  That was the first time in MONTHS that Brenda has
  2166. been watchable.  Too bad she didn't stand up to Sonny as well as she stood
  2167. up to her sister.  But I guess sister's are easier to let have it.  I have
  2168. always loved Julia and Brenda's fights, I'm not sure why.  Yesterday,
  2169. though, was better than most.  I *loved* the direct hit Brenda scored about
  2170. Julia being intentionally cruel versus being oblivious.  And, while I can
  2171. understand how Julia wouldn't see it that way, I agree with Brenda that
  2172. there is a distinct cruelty to the fact that Julia chose to allow Jax to
  2173. coax her to town to see Brenda NOW.   It's really hard enough to trust
  2174. someone during bad times, but it's unreasonable to expect Brenda to be able
  2175. to do it when she can't even trust her sister to be a sister in the GOOD
  2176. times.
  2177.  
  2178. Finally, Ben, Eve & Julie:  Lynn didn't waste much time, did she?  Wow.
  2179. Well, I think I'll have to wait until after I see today's confrontation
  2180. between the three of them before I have too much to say.  I did like to see
  2181. Julie finally get ANGRY at someone, though, frankly, I think she seemed to
  2182. be laying a little bit too much blame on Eve about this.  I mean, EVE is
  2183. the one who told her about how she ended up feeling in that relationship.
  2184. Julie heard how Eve ended up in financial ruins and she knows that Eve is
  2185. not a saint -- Eve never tried to justify sleeping with a married man.
  2186. Sure, Julie should be hurt.  And I don't dismiss the fact that she should
  2187. be angry at Eve.  But Eve is not the one who cheated on Julie's mother; Ben
  2188. did that.  I do like that it shows Julie soething that she wouldn't have
  2189. seen otherwise:  it's a hell of a lot easier to be a saint when it's OTHER
  2190. people's lives that are getting torpedoed, and not your own.
  2191.  
  2192. Other than that... I expect that any great Julie/Ben/Eve pay off is going
  2193. to be delayed because of Julie's impending confrontation with Cooper.  And
  2194. I did like yesterday (or was it Friday) when the interns actually LISTENED
  2195. to Chris and ocnsidered that, just maybe, it wasn't Chris out to knock off
  2196. the competition, but that it might be someone else entirely who just has it
  2197. in for the interns.

  2199. And whoever it was that commented on a moronic lack of follow-through
  2200. investigating after the fire was right.  Since the fire wasn't started by
  2201. faulty wiring or something like that, the next obvious assumption would
  2202. HAVE to be arson -- especially considering that it started in a patient's
  2203. room.  And are they trying to convince us that the disappearence of a
  2204. priest would go unnoticed by his parish and his superiors?  Hell, Mary
  2205. alone missed him the night of the fire.  Who's been performing Mass on
  2206. Sundays?

  2356. impression that Julia idolized her father and at the end I felt that she
  2357. HAD to know that he was not the perfect person that she had always imagined

  2737. anyway, i have a question for the intrepid history buffs among us.  i DID 
  2738. used to watch back when julia barrett was originally on, but (since i 
  2739. wasn't terribly interested in her) i didn't pay too much attention, and 
  2740. hence her storylines have more-or-less disappeared from my memory.  now, i 
  2741. know she was involved with about half the town (aj, ned, bill eckert...) 
  2742. but i can't remember ANYTHING about her, and her storylines, at all.  
  2743. anybody care to give me a quick synopsis of julia barrett: the early years?

  2747. vacation...YEAH!!!), and while his chat and ask logan weren't terribly

  2762. GH is most certainly not my personal favorite these days,
  2763. though I fully expect that to turn around as soon as Mr. Bob
  2764. Guza fully gets his act together (which, my spies tell me
  2765. should be around Dec. 10 or so). The reason there are so
  2766. many GH letters posted here is that, scandal for scandal,
  2767. outrage for outrage, rumor for rumor, GH is a show beyond
  2768. compare as far as fan reaction is concerned. I am bombarded
  2769. with GH mail, way more than I get for any other show, and I
  2770. would bet that most soap publications would tell you the
  2771. same thing. I'll try to tone it down a tad, but I make no
  2772. promises.

  2789. As soon as I have time, I will help try to fill in the blanks.  However, I
  2790. have a hard time trying to figure out her relationship with her father and
  2791. would like help there.  I think that she essentially worshipped her father
  2792. and was into quite a bit of denial at what he was doing.  I remember him
  2793. being into the mob, or something, but can't remember the exact reason why
  2794. Bill Eckert had to kill him.
  2795.  
  2796. Julia is an interesting character, always a woman who was capable of just
  2797. about anything, a business genius of sorts.  Yes, she has quite a history. 
  2798. I was upset when they ended the Julia/Bill relationship without resolving
  2799. her understanding of what went on.  Of course, there is much on GH that is
  2800. never resolved!!!  I am glad that she is back and would love her to stay
  2801. around for some time.  She definitely saved AJ from Ned many, many times!

  2818. I'm brand new to the list and this is my first posting.  I've watched GH for 
  2819. more years than I can remember.  Let's see, I'm 26 now and I was watching before 
  2820. Laura married Scotty Baldwin!

  2822. I was watching when Julia Barrett came to town but if I remember correctly, 
  2823. there wasn't a big thing that brought her to town.  She came because her father, 
  2824. Harlan Barrett, was in Port Charles and owned a waterfront business that she was 
  2825. going to help run.  I do recall she fell in a vat of fish oil her first day.  
  2826. Bill Eckert worked there too I think.  Anyway, Daddy Barrett turned out to be a 
  2827. criminal and Julia took over when he died.  She might have been a suspect when 
  2828. Bill's ex-wife Nancy was murdered.

  2830. Speaking of the Eckert's - where the heck is Sly??  Shouldn't he be in school 
  2831. with Lucky?  We know Jenny and Paul still live in Port Charles because of that 
  2832. whole  "Ned getting called to the hospital to find Jenny giving birth" thing.

  2890. Despite my aversion to blonds, I am getting to like Jax too much to want
  2891. him with Brenda.  I loved Sonny, but by the end I hated them together.  But
  2892. that was mostly because I haven't been able to stand Brenda for a while
  2893. now.  I couldn't watch her ever since she let herself become such a doormat.
