I'm assuming this is an ambient/trance/techno poll?  If not, I don't
think the Orb would stand a chance.  As much as I love the Orb, I
can think of at least 100 other groups/artists whose "track record"
is far better than the Orb's...plus, they've withstood the "test of
time," so-to-speak....

On the other hand, if it IS an ambient/trance/techno poll, then it
is my humble opinion that UFOrb should be number 2...right behind
(this should piss everyone off) Lifeforms by Future Sound of
London.  Actually, I'm half-tempted to put Aubrey Mixes up there
with UFOrb.  I would also put Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygene and
Equinoxe up there, as well as Tangerine Dream's Rubycon, Tangram,
and Force Majeure....

My 2 cents....

has reformed.  Can anyone confirm this???  Are they touring???

"SHUCS will enable secure file transfer, fax, and voice communications
using three ground stations and four Inmarsat satellites. The system will
use common TCP/IP file transfer protocol with .orb, a new Internet extension"

Well now that Canada's Seagram's Co. Ltd. has purchased Polygram
Entertainment (for a mere $10.6 billion)and formed the largest
entertainment conglomerate....maybe we'll get some NEW Orb material
instead of the rumored "greatest hits" package....
according to the press, many jobs will be lost in order to recoup the
losses, due to the merger.
hopefully the bigwig knuckleheads at Island will be booted and some new
blood put in with some sense...but I doubt it.
