Spot on, I saw a demo of REII 'tother day, looked very good on the PSX but
I am sure it would be a better game on the 64, to me it looks like an ideal
conversion.

That's what I thought , I loved that game :-(
Do you think guys that a ported TR or R/Evil will look much better on N64 ?
On TR for example, everything behinde walls can been seen if you turn
near it and have a the camera zoomed ...

But it comes on 2 CDs. Even if they're both only half full, you'd
need 10 64DD disks to store the same amount of data. And you
lose all the lovely FMV sequences. And the music.

I=92m not sure that RE2 would really look better on the N64. There is no =

that they would be able to put all of the prerenderd backgrounds on to a

I have heard rumors that Capcom is making a game similar to RE for the
N64. I have also heard rumors that Eidos is making a game similar to Tomb
Raider. They can=92t make the exact game or use the same name for Tomb
Raider because Sony bought the rights to it. Keep in mind that these are

Dincha mother tell you it isnt size that counts ;)
Size always comes up when this subject is discussed, I dont know much about it so could be talking out my arse but with PSX games surely the amount of space
available means that minimal effort is expended on compression so to say
10dd disks maybe true but thats with no compression. As for FMV yes its pretty
but if I want to watch a film then I will, real time "movies" were quite
effective (if short) in GE.
Anybody with good compression knowledge wanna comment?

Mario 64 had the same quirks, go up to a wall and look around and you can see
right through the wall.
By the way TR 1 was not exclusive to the PSX there is a PC version!

Mmmmm... How's the N64 going to handle 2xCDs of FMV, music + pre-rendered
backdrops?
It's capable of doing a RE *style* game - but not a conversion.

TRII is not PSX exclusive either it was released PC b4 PSX and with a 3dfx
card the PC versions is far superior.
As for Mario64/TR comparisons then must I say again, look at the relative
ages of the consoles when the games were released. Marion 64 was the first
N64 game to be released. Lets compare it to the first PSX one shall we?
or maybe to the first PSX 3d job (dunno what it was anyone?)
Its a fact the 64 is better than the PSX at 3d polygon effort and the PSX has
more storage room. Why keep crapping on about it all the time.

IMO, definately yes! The general consensus however, may rate Mario
Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, or SF Rush higher, but none of those games
really qualify as a realistic car racing game.
>2) Is there only four seasons to get through, and what other neat things
>are there or other secrets to this game.
There are six seasons to get through, per year. I don't know how many
years there are. You can basically earn all the "normal cars" by the 4th or
5th season. If you place 1st in all the races during the 5th season (or is it
the 6th?), then you unlock the hidden Strip Mine track, which is a REALLY
fun track. You earn a "bonus car" after the 1st year, the Milk Truck (very
fast!). I think you can win "bonus cars" after completing each year.
3) Are there many cheats for this game
Yes, there's a few. Nintendojo.com has the most complete cheats, FAQS,
and racing tips for TGR.

TR2 is more exciting I guess, I didn't have the chance to complete it

Anywhere from 8MB to 32MB. Zelda 64 is the only cartridge so far to go up
to 32MB. CD=92s hold about 650MB.

RE2 just isn't suited to the N64, a lot of the atmosphere is generated
by the music and the cut scenes. But an N64 game in the style of
RE could be excellent, esp. on 64DD. Real time 3d environments,
moveable cameras, and the whole game environment could be=20
stored on the writable portion of the DD disk, so anything you
change in the environment would stay changed for the remainder of
the game. It would probably be closer to TR meets RE though.

At the end of the day if you get to shoot zombies I'm happy, although its

just needs imagination rather than throwing resources at it.
