Hello mobility-digest readers, Especially those who responded to my message by suggesting to 'pack your bags', I totally understand you! You live in a fenced society, yes you do have the freedom to things. But only a few exercise there freedom to 'think', and not follow the crowd instinct. Your country has provided peace to it's citizens, but not peace to citizens of other countries. Please don't bullshit (I apologize) about the fact that America has helped some countries. It's all capitalism, exploiting the Taiwanese, supporting Israel an illegitimate state. I am also not saying there is a better place to live than America! America is a great country of opportunity, it helped many individuals to reach their potential. There are very few places in this world that have living conditions greater or equal to US's. Please don't shove your words of prejudice into my mouth! Please read my message and don't add your own ideas to it, and attack me for what you've dreamed up. I just want to reinstate something the monastic movement has brought out "When the body is pleased, your spirit gets lazy"! And now that America has been struck, it cries out to the Lord whom they claim to 'trust', using God as some doctor. When the Israelites turned away from God, He sent His prophets with a message, which promised punishment. The same happened to Germany, it was a crushed nation after WWII, the same happened to the USSR which I happen to be from. Both Germany and USSR have turned away so much from God, and that is when they got punished. God broke those nations, so they would repent. I am talking out of experience, and not some sort of hate! Which some of you expressed towards me, and others. I know all this could be overwhelming just right now, some of you want to avenge the perpetrator, some of you might have lost friends or relatives. I know that what I am saying probably won't make sense to you right now. You are simply not used to this. I do want to express my condolences to people hurt by this tragic event. I think it really does suck that so many people died. Please try not to attack me personally, I to do not like people harassing me. If you want to debate anything I have said, please, my e-mail is in front of your eyes, lets not pollute this forum with these sorts of discussions. Okay, let's say that your whole extended family is made up of mixed individuals, some generous, some underachievers, some corrupt, some educated, etc. Now say that suddenly your spouse & a few others are all brutally killed at once. But the US is not Nazi Germany or Stalin's USSR. There is only so much the US can do for the world, and often it is flawed, and often even Americans disagree in how it's done. Bottom line: each country, having fought for independence, should be responsible for itself. But this is a complete tangent. We're all in the middle of this. None of us could possibly be objective enough to see it from the vantage point of God (for those who believe in God). There were musicians on the side playing some string and some metal instruments and the puppets and stories were so fantastic. It was so beautiful and heart warming with dragons, phoenixes, fish, lions, ducks and puppet people. The musicians were also singing and chanting in Vietnamese and it was not difficult to understand what was going on because it was in such a colourful and visual context. It made me think about how the armies in the camps in Vietnam were exposed to such a beautiful and rich culture full of people that just wanted to live their lives in harmony. Now Afghanistan is in trouble and there are so many people here that are unaware of all of the beautiful things that come out of Afghanistan and the rich culture. If I am reading this right, you are saying that these people who are responsible, were acting out the wrath of God upon America? So you are giving them credit for acting out God's will? My heart and my prayers go out to the victims and their families, as well as to the courageous and selfless individuals who are desperately trying to rescue those in need.
