Subject: (mobility) ask scott frassetto
Hey All-
I'm going out for beers with Scott Frassetto tonight now that the tour is on xmas break, and I was wondering if there are any questions that need to be cleared up. This way it can be straight from the horse's mouth rather than a bunch of needless debates founded on speculation. Try to keep them somewhat serious... no favorite color or boxers/briefs type questions. I will find out about where they are hitting on the last leg of the tour and other pertinent information.

Moby - Hey! This guy knows how to party! Honest!
MOBY'S CLOSE SHAVE WITH DRUG ADDICTION
MOBY has claimed he started taking drugs at the age of
ten, but quit three years later because he "didn't
want to be a thirteen-year-old drug addict".
According to a report in this morning's Sun newspaper
(December 20), Moby, who is well known for being a
vegan and a Christian, said his drug taking started
when he was "hanging out with an older crowd". He
said: "I started taking drugs when I was ten and did
them for a couple of years. It was cannabis and pills
mostly.
"I was hanging out with an older crowd and I did it to
be one of them. But I realised it wasn't a good idea.
I didn't want to be a 13-year-old drug addict. I'm not
into drugs any more but I probably have one or two
joints a year.
"I get pissed sometimes too - and sleep with people. I
am not the clean living person people try to
pigeonhole me as."
Moby is confirmed to play two more shows in the UK and
Ireland this year, at the Dublin Point on December 29,
before headlining a massive show at Edinburgh Castle
on New Year's Eve (December 31).

I am a huge fan of Moby , but i am also a huge fan of The Chemical Brothers
and Fatboy Slim . I dont see it as a fight , i see it as a compliment to
Moby to be in a catagory with Fatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothers. Its a
compliment for all of them to be in a group of that kind of talent. So , I
will vote for moby. But i will vote for TCB and Fatboy Slim too . I like em
all equally and whomever called me some profane name, im thinking it was
"the dj" , i want you to talk to me personally. I dont understand why b/c i

We're probably all trying to SAVE Moby because the common interest on
this list is Moby. So there are people here who don't like The
Chemical Brothers or Fatboy Slim. I'm sure many like all three
artists in the 'contest' but my vote goes to Moby!
While I wish Moby would win that award (is that award going to be
presented on tv?) I think it's pretty sad that they have the award

that i'mbeing ridiculed by someone for liking them equally .thats all . i
love moby and he is incredible. but its incredible that the one person on
this list that isnt understanding i like the other contestants too is making
me angered with the whole list. which isnt right, but its how i feel

From: Tim Ellorin <TEllorin@mediabrains.com>
Subject: (mobility) Moby a sellout?!!
I think it is funny when I hear people calling Moby a sellout. If selling
out means that he is promoting his music to reach as large an audience as he
possibly can then I guess you could say that he is guilty as charged, but
the problem is, this is what he does for a living. He makes music for
people to listen to. So here is a question to those people who think he is
a sellout. What do you think is an appropriate way for him to get his music
out to the masses? Or do you think that you should be the only people
allowed to hear his music? Keep the other people in the dark. Maybe he
should have stayed "Underground" hmmm? He is a musician. It is his job to
get his music out there. Get it played. Personally I congradulate him on
what a fine job he has done in getting his music played everywhere. Movies,
Radio, MTV, TV shows, Commercials, whatever. GO MOBY GO! I would be more
upset if he started to forget about his fans, but it seems as though that
has not yet happened. He still meets people after shows. Maybe it is
harder now to get to talk to him because there are more people wanting to
meet him, but what do you expect. I always think it is funny how people
find an artist who hasn't hit it big yet and they bitch about the fact that
this artist is not getting the recognition he deserves, and then when this
artist does hit it big they bitch about the artist being a sellout. Make up
your minds! Sorry, I am a little bitter on this subject.
Tim

i totally agree. i dont know of one sellout in music because, to me , the
root of what every musician or vocalist does is put outmusic for peoples
enjoyment, not just for the money!
