then people like me who get the digest don't have to

Am I the persson who's been on the list the longest
who's never switched from the digest?
Who's been on here the longest who's hardly ever (or
maybe even NEVER) posted? like, since 96 or so?
Hehe, Bart liked me better before I was DJ Paul. I

Oh crap, sorry about the reply's ive been doing............
Will delete all unecessary lines next time.
Actually, I just wanted to know two things..........
1. If you had to buy Moby a xmas present, what would you get him?
2. On the subject of religion (and I know weve done this before, but it was
a while ago) Im interested to know what religion everyone is here.
If so, are you this religion because you were brought up with this religion
in your family? Or was it something you discovered later on in your life?
Rack your brains for that special MOby gift idea!

i am of the opinion (note the 'o' word) that all
religions are terrible represenations of anything
spiritual and divine in the universe.
eastern religions appeal to me with their
individual development, but they cast moral
actions to the side (not completely, but it's not
the focus).
western religions appeal to me for their
interactive component, but they focus very little
on internal development and more on
self-punishment.
the rise of the earth religions (and don't be
fooled into thinking it's not happening) appeals
to me because of their earth consciousness, but
their lack of understanding of the way the world
works and their unwillingness to do anything to
change it except sitting smugly feeling that they
are right and trying to impress one another with
how arcane they can get.
religion is a horrible abstraction of the
spiritual world, twisting and mangling it until
it no longer resembles what it really is,
labelling it as doctrine or holy, and then
preventing other people from expanding the view
outside the limits of sacred text. (note: this
is more so in western religion than eastern and
earth religions)
i came to this conclusion by viewing the antics
and actions of all religions that i've had the
pleasure of coming into contact with and reading
about, and decided that they each have a piece of
a very, very, *very* large puzzle.

I was baptised and somewhat raised as a Catholic. However, I am definately=
agnostic right now. I don't really feel the need to believe in something=
without proof to back that something up. I don't shun people who are=
religious, but I do shun people who believe religion to be the supreme=
word, and are close minded to anything other than what their religion=
tells them to be true. That's dim witted.
Thanks for the really cool questions. Should make for some (hopefully)=
interesting posts.

I am Christian if you are asking my religion. I have been to many different
denominations of Christian churches and have come to the realization that I
do not agree with a lot of the practices of organized churches. So I do not
belong to any one church. If I go to church I go to where I am most
comfortable with the people. It does not matter much to me what
denomination it is.
Speaking on the Mormon thing.
Have you ever bothered to know the reason why it used to be allowed in the
Mormon church to have more than 1 wife? There was a neccesity for this
practice a very long time ago when the Mormon's travelled west. A lot of
them died on the journey leaving more women than men. Women in these days
were not allowed to be land holders so the men who were left took on more
than one wife to protect and support all of the women. This practice has
since been removed from the Mormon set of beliefs as they no longer need to
do this. Also, there are 2 branches of the Mormon church. One of them
still goes by the old rules while the other does not. And then there is one
last thing. I have always been mystified by other churches reactions to the
Mormon church. These same people who criticize Mormons for having more than
1 wife are the same people who have done much worse things. Can we say the
Crusades and the Childrens Crusade? What about Ireland and the ongoing war
there between Catholics and Protestants? Israel and the Arab nations? I
think I must say that I would much prefer people to have more than one wife,
or to be of equal opportunity, more than one husband than killing people for
their beliefs. What do you say?
Anyway, I digress. Have a day!

Yeah, speaking of the Mormon thing, I wasn't shunning anyone, or anything=
like that. I just peronally believe that the whatever division of Mormons=
who have two wives is just a tad amusing, that's all. I'm only poking=
fun... what's wrong with that? :)
Have a super special day!

i think my biggest qualm with the mormon church
is their book of mormon, where if memory serves
correctly, was found over here in a rock and can
only be viewed with special 3d glasses or
something. then again, i could be believing the hype.

(with a picture of us all, say cheese! (Matt! get yer finger out of yer

Maybe a poem..... an "Ode to Moby" (anyone care to start us off?)
Thanks for the feedback on religion. Really interesting. I totally agree
with Tim on the Ireland thing. So many people/religions saying they ARE the
true religion, its a sad thing when violence is involved. But what is the
RIGHT one (I think we all know the answer to that anyway)

Actually, not to confuse any more people, here's the dictionary definition=
of the word agnostic:
One who believes that there can be no proof of the existence of God but=
does not deny the possibility that God exists.
Thank you very much.

K - help me out here.........
Ive tried to incorperate everyones presents to him so far (even the beer ;)
Moby please dont think Im a thug.........
I just want to give you a christmas hug.
A pair of Socks, from Bart or me.....
Some budweiser under the christmas tree....
A comfy chair in which you could sit....
And play with your ultra-new hair shaving kit!
Thats all I got so far.......
Its Saturday morning and I have alot of time on my hands.
Im reading a brochure from work. They are trying to get me to join the
workers union. Inside the brochure is a little pamphlet explaining the
dangers of using photocopiers!. Apart from the obvious "keep the lid closed
when photocopying" they tell you to keep away from the various dangerous
chemicals that can be released into the atmosphere during copying, stating
sides affects such as "garlic smelling breath" WTF???
Hence why vampires much prefer to spend hours making copies of things by
hand.
It also says the Toner has cancer-causing substances. How terribly sad.
Is there anything in this world that DOSENT cause some kind of cancer?
Thanks for reading my mindless saturday morning dribble. I want to go
outside, but I cant cos Im sunburnt.
Keep up the pressie list, religion and adding to me poem.
Poo poo the poo.
