I have subscribed to mobility for a while, but I rarely feel the need to comment. You guys are usually more entertaining than I could be in text format. At any rate- no one should judge anyone else in these posts. Yes, I'm tired argue-mail in my inbox. At the same time, this topic is something that greatly affects us. Moby shouldn't tell people who they should vote for or how to feel about their choice. Crazy zealots berate girls outside of abortion clinics. Let's leave the teetotaling to them. Mark@lsds.com- go start your utopian list. If there is anything I like less than off-topic or teeny-bopper "what's moby's favorite color" posts, it has got to be people trying to assimilate others' way of expressing themselves to their own preference. You don't like the list? Leave. You think a subject line looks off-topic? Don't read it. If nothing else, don't try to tell everyone on the list how to ask questions and make statements. I don't mean to complain myself, but I figure on!
e long stupid email of mine is way under quota. By the way- its discuSSions, controLLed, and the word people has some vowels in it. Thanks for your time everyone, it's been a bowl of cherries from this end.....
Joseph

About fifteen months ago I attended my first Moby show. I did not know what
to expect, and
was blown away, to say the least. I had no idea that Moby's thoughtful
electronic creations could
translate into such a fantastic experience.
Moby's live shows enlist a drummer, bassist, scratch DJ, newly added backup
vocalist Diane
Charlemagne (best known for her work with Goldie), and Moby himself. Moby
takes on many
instruments, utilizing various guitars, drums, keyboards, and more. Because
of Moby and his
ensemble, soulful electronic jams are injected with a new life on stage.
I have been a fan of Hybrid's intelligent productions for quite some time.
When it was announced
that the Welsh trio would be accompanying Moby on his fall tour, I was
ecstatic. I also found out
that Mike and Chris Hybrid usually spin at the show's after parties. I could
not be more excited for
these two upcoming evenings!
The first show that I attended was Wednesday, October 25, at Mt. Holyoke
College, in Central
Massachusetts. The venue was a small theater which held about 1,000 people.
This theater had an
end stage and open floor. Above the floor a balcony wrapped around, and a
smaller, higher, second
balcony was opposite to the stage.
Doors opened at 7PM for this 8:00 show. There was a DJ warming up the crowd.
I was later
informed that it was NYC's Stephen Caicedo. He was dropping a good portion
of this year's best
progressive tunes. Many were enjoying his set, though it appeared as though
this crowd would have
preferred the Vengaboys.
Some of the tunes that Stephen played were: Morel - True (16b mix), Simon -
