The track list for the commercial singles are now posted at

It is my understanding that a single release of "Southside"
will be issued the same day as the re-issue of play/bsides
with remixes and bsides and that the "play version" will
remain on Play.

A bootlegged radio show, I believe.

Subject: (mobility) Underworld... they're invading everywhere :) Moby vs Underworld???
Wow!
Seeing the Underworld quesitons pop up on the Moby mailing list was the
last thing I ever expected :) Considering i own at least 98% of the
discography :) [I wish I owned that much of the Moby discography]
Now as for essential Underworld.. I could sit here and name
everything... but here's the basics..
Dubnobasswithmyheadman
Their FIRST MK2 album and absolutely fantastic. So good, virtually every
track off that cd has a cd single or remix. Must hears would be
1. Dark & Long
2. Mmm Skyscraper I Love You
6. Dirty Epic
7. Cowgirl
9. Mother Earth
Their second album is Second Toughest In The Infants
Another fantastic release and different then the first... more.. living room
techno like of sorts.. beautiful textures and mind blowing vocals abound
once more.. essential tracks would be
Juanita/Kiteless/To Dream of Love
Rowla
Pearl's Girl
Blueski
Stagger [well I like it]
Then there's Beacoup Fish, their final album as of late before Everything,
Everything...
Mindblowing and constant retransformation.. I am still partial to the first
album, but this is equally mindblowing :) Essentials are
Push Upstairs
Cups
Jumbo
King of Snake
Moaner
Bruce Lee
And on the other side.. for rarity essentials..
Spikee
The Hump [Wild Beasts Mix]
Dark & Long [Dark Train Mix]
That's my 2 cents :)
Hope that helps out new fans to Underworld... the first 3 albums should be
easy to aquire...
Sincerely,
K. Flewin

Subject: (mobility) Detroit Show Highlights
Detroit show was by FAR my favorite of the 3 I've seen on this tour.
Encore was REALLY cool. Someone from the crowd shouted out "South Side" so
Moby said it would likely be a really bad performance as they hadn't
rehearsed it but they did a FULL version of the track, Moby on acoustic
guitar and it sounded great.
This should be played at every show, they clearly know it enough to make it
through the whole song it was a definite highlight. After "South Side" he
did "Run On", again on acoustic guitar handling all vocals instead of the
samples. Again really cool.
After that it was time for Spinbads DJ "solo" and after he started Moby
goes to the edge of the stage and damned if he didn't hop into the crowd
and CROWDSURF!!!!!
The State Theater in Detroit has a pretty small general admission
dancefloor, we were packed like sweaty little sardines in there and Moby
surfed from the front to the back and back to the front. It was quite a
sight to see. He had such a big smile on his face, he seemed in a GREAT
mood last night.
Then after the crowdsurf he gets back onstage and they are setting up the
black keyboard for "Thousand". He talks with the guy setting it up, then
talks a running leap, jumps ON to the keyboard and slams down on it with
his feet. It slams to the floor afterwards. It is now lying upside down,
stand up. He berates the keyboard saying into the mic something about it
not working right and starts calling it a "dumb ass keyboard", picks it up
upside down and slams it a few times on the stage! I was rolling! After
beating the shit out of it he takes the mic and says "I guess I have some
hostility issues huh?" HAHAHAHAHA THIS is why I can see mulitple shows, for
moments like this encore. First he crowdsurfs then beats the shit out of
his keyboard. So they grabbed his silver Korg keyboard and he did
"Thousand" on that.
Few other moments, he did a few impromptu short "covers" including 2Pac's
"California Love" on his keyboard, so hilarious. They did a full version of
the Doors "The End" and also part of the Stooges "I Want To Be Your Dog" in
honor of being in Detroit. During "Porcelain" acoustic, there was some loud
nasty feedback during his last "going out of my mind". After he's done he
says "some might think that feedback was a problem but it was actually
intentional. It was my statement that the world is an imperfect place and
it was a heavy artistic statement............... Actually it was just a
huge fuckup". He cracks me up, he is so funny with his commentaries. Oh
also a guy in a Spiderman costume comes up to play the keyboard "solo" in
"Bodyrock" (they did this in Columbus too) on his way back stage he slips
and falls. After the song Moby is like "Did Spidey fall? Spidey are you OK?
I thought you were break dancing".
Just a great night, my favorite Moby show ever hands down. Dancefloor
packed, sweaty, hot, as it should be. Awesome experience. Toronto show is
my last one then I have to go back to being a responsible adult :)

Subject: (mobility) Underworld
For those in the dark about the talk about the band Underworld...
UK duo Rick Smith and Karl Hyde started Underworld in the late 1980s. They
were a new wave pop band whose two albums werent very successful. They
wanted a dance edge and recruited much younger Darren Emerson. Emerson was a
succesful DJ in the area.
Now with Emerson, this trio recorded Dubnobasswithmyheadman. It is from 93
(I believe) and is a timeless record. It sounds like it could have been made
yesterday, or even tomorrow. It has many wonderful tunes which have helped
to shape the genre that I love known as progressive house.
Now Emerson has left the group to pursue a solo career. He has releaesd the
fifteenth volume in the critically aclaimed Global Underground DJ series.
His Uruguay 015 disc is a wonderful trip through techno and house as he
played similarly to a crowd in Uruguay.
UW's new album out is a live greatest hits titled "Everything, Everything"
taken from the Cowgirl lyric. Futureshock and Bedrock (John Digweed/Nick
Muir) have been given teh honors of remixing Cowgirl which is taking dance
floors by storm all over the world. I highly recommened listening to the
Bedrock mix.
Underworld's music comes to life live like no others. I highly recommend
checking out Everything, Everything and their top two (of three) albums,
Beaucoup Fish (99) and Dubnobassiwthmyheadman.
hope this helps!
Caleb

This might have been discussed already.
Moby was one of the artists polled on the new VH1 special "100 Greatest
Dance Songs." He gave his unique insight on a few tunes which have made
dance floors shake over the past few years. Very interesting special.

Phew, finally online! I've had a few stressful days of hardware falures, but
here I am :)
I'm not really into Kelis' music but I have to say I really like the new
Honey version, in fact I like it better than the original. On the other
hand I don't like the new Southside, yuk! It would have sounded a lot better
if there was only Gwen on vocals and no Moby.
just my thoughts on Moby's new recycle projects.
