Hello All,
I'm very happy that I took the time to register on this list. Very helpful
so far.
It appears as thought Moby has some sort of after party after every show.
Does this look to be the case?
And has anyone found info on Moby 10/25 in South Hadley Mass. @ Mt Holyoke
College? It's a theater which holds 1,100 (has seats :( ) but should be one
of the smaller turnouts of the whole tour. It's about an hour from me
(Albany, NY) and I'm definintely going to go because the more intimate the
better. But there is no info on this show yet.
I'm also going to 10/27 in Albany, NY @ Siena college. Plenty of tixx
available.
Caleb

Did anyone out there know that our very own Moby
appeared on a Apoptygma Berzerk cd???
It surprised me when the cd landed on my mat!
It's on the album 7 and the track is called Rebel.
Although it says that vocals on the track is by
Richard Hall (doesn't fool me for a second!), he just
gives a piece that sounds like the answer to an
interview question. He is also credited in the thanks
list for samples used on the album (along with Depeche
Mode and Aphex Twin)!!!
Just wondered if anyone knew.

I thought www.mobyonline.com was EXTREMELY well designed and fun to play
with. As well I thought the more complete concert date list was really
nice. However, there were a few things that really bothered me. Anyone
notice that in the "releases" section (I believe that's what it's called)
there is not a SINGLE mention of any work previous to Play?! It's almost
like they want to forget his previous career. I don't understand it at all.
Considering all of the work that went into the awesome design of the rest
of it, adding a few scans of album covers and links to their contents would
NOT be difficult. Ironically, in the little quotes that come down from the
letters are lyrics from songs in AR and EIW.

maybe because www.mobyonline.com is a the V2 site... and Play was the first=

I just wanted to thank Moby for 2 nights of wonderful performances. Being a
native of St. Louis, I have to say that his performance at the American was
the better of the two. I would also like to thank Moby for the t-shirt. I
hope you like the "Bald iz sexy" t-shirt. Yes, I know that 'iz' is
misspelled but I only had one 's'. It seems that each time Moby goes on
tour, the performances are better. I saw him last year at Karma is STL.
The small venue was cool. However, the addition of the vocalist, Diane, for
is a welcomed changed from last time. I also recommend if anyone has the
chance to see moby dj, do it because you will not regret it. I saw him last
year in Denver and in Chicago. Both great shows. I could have dance all
night.
Peace forever. Ciao!

just checkin' to see if anyone on the list went to the moby show on the
5th in st. paul? what did you think?
hybrid should have been MUCH louder. they are such a brilliant bunch of
guys. i got to spin with one of them at the after party. i'm sad to say i
didn't remember his name!! (although he DID keep telling me how drunk he
was...) it was pretty crazy and loud anyway...
moby was moby. it was nice to hear one or two different things, but he's
been playing this set now for quite a while. moby was pretty damn
rock star after the show. he had about 20 little twinkie girls fawning
over him the whole time. i couldn't break their impenetrable wall of
uber-shallowness even long enough to get a handshake from moby. plus i
was spinning most of the time.
speaking of, did anyone hear my opening set? how about my set in-between
sets? again, i should have been much louder, but i was so stark raving
nervous that it was probably a good thing i was quiet. i'll just say that
the mixer sucked and leave the rest up to you to decide.
oh, and big respect to the orange shirt brigade! you kids rocked!!
so all in all it was another great show, even if i could practically
follow along line for line durring moby's crowd banter. (however, that
"...and eat more dick," comment really threw me...fucking hi-LARIOUS!
i've actually had quite a few late night conversations with friends about
how flammingly gay football [no, not soccer] and wrestling is.)
it was very strange being on the other side of the gate, but let me tell
ya, it's no oz. free food was nice.
ok, i should get outta here,

Hey well I just went to the Chicago show last night and it kicked ass. Hybrid
was a great opener and the DJ who was there was awesome too. Sorry to say no
one really knew their was a DJ there until he left. But I will be back Sunday
and we will cheer for ya some more. =) As for the Moby show it was really
good but he has been playing the same old set for a while now. This was my
fourth time seeing him and it was the same as most of them . The only other
different one was the woodstock show. I can live with the same set though I
mean they were all good songs and the band performs with such energy. I just
hope that it gets different on Sunday night. Can't wait to come back !

Not sure if this interview was ever mentioned but it was funny how I
came across it. I was trying to log into Napster this morning but was
unsuccessful. I began to wonder if the judges had shut it down already
so I went to the napster web site.. and saw a quote from Moby on the
top of the web page about how most people he knows will buy the cd if
they like the songs they downloaded. The quote was from Macaddict so I
went to their web site and searched for Moby and came up with this:

- - Hymn with Moby on piano and a violin player
- - Everytime you toch me (acoustic) with Moby on piano and vocals by Diane
Charlemagne
- - Porcelain (acoustic)
and the usual stuff: bodyrock, James bond Theme, Honey (118 Mix), Machete,
Natural Blues, WDMHFSB?, Go
Run On (folk version with Jools Holland on piano)
Am I glad we can receive BBC2 here in the Netherlands!
