hi...just to elaborate.
a) well, mike, i share the opinion of many of the rest of rollo's listener's out there that i know of, and that is, its an incredible peace of work, but i don't think it stands up as well as Sunday 8pm, and even the though song on the Life Less Ordinary Sdtrk (which is an excellent underground techno-pop sdtrk, btw) was great, i'm looking forward to the next faithless album. I got "When We were young" on lp a few weeks after it came out in the uk, and was amazed to find it. It's a good album, very quiet and contemplative, but the vocals could have been better, in my opinion, but i guess the worst i could say about it is that it isn't what i was expecting. and i'm not sure the comparisons to massive attack are really all that valid.
b) more jesus stuff. i'm kind of shocked there are real hardcore jesus-freaks on this list...but just kind of. i should sya that i espouse absolutely no religious opinions whatever. i am formerly an atheist, but i realized eventually that it wasn't worth the bother. I have gay friends, i have dated bi girls, and i must say, i like gay people. that is not a religious view, it is a personal view. to the guy who wrote about having no personal issues with homosexuality but feeling he had to condemn it b/c it was "contrary to the principles of life" or some such...well, first of all i should say i think that is utter rubbish. first of all, i find it incredible that you have discovered the purpose of life, and then realized that homosexuality was contrary to it. I have to suppose, second, that this purpose is for all of us to engage in mindless, pleausreless sex to make lots of little humans which will then devestate the entire earth with their needs for consumption, eventually ca!
sing rampant disease, famine, war, and the fourth horseman death. and, we don't even get to have any fun orgasms on the way. is that sort of what you meant?
Woohoo! 2 dates in San Francisco so there's no possible way I'll miss him. Didn't someone say something about him touring w/ Stereolab? Well whatever, that would be a dream come true but it's OK that he's not. He's insane though, he's been touring for so damn long. But that's fine by me.

Subject: (mobility) Spin letters
I got the new issue of Spin (with big sweaty, hairy-chested guys from Creed on the cover, ew) and it had letters concerning the Moby article:
Idiots Rule
Spin deserves accolades for profiling Moby, an innovative, diverse, and peerlessly talented musical master ["Revenge of the 'Little Idiot,'" June]. His ethical vegetarianism and inclusive Christianity are indicative of someone who reveres all life.
Brien Comerford
Glenview, Illinois
Thank you for putting Moby on the cover of your June issue. I've been a Moby fan for about five years, and he's just now getting the recognition he deserves. I think the man's a musical genius, and I love his essays, too. I've enjoyed all of his albums and the diversity of his music. Could you send him my email address in case he ever wants to go on a date with a fan?
Sabrina Dickinson
Reading, Massachusettes
We don't think your article adequately explained why Moby is an important artisit. I focused on his insecurities and past shortcomings, but not on how he overcame those obstacles.

Moby sucks ass. Make some real music, dude.
Eric Palermo

Bah, I have no problem with people disliking an artist I like but I don't like it when they don't give reasons. I don't know why Spin included this letter.
Right now I'm listening to the "Moby Fan" station on launch.com and they're playing Creed. Damn Creed, they're everywhere.
And to the person who asked, yes, it said there are more tour dates to come.

Technically, Sister Bliss' album will be by Faithless (see 7 magazine).
