I've heard that several people have this cd. I would like to include it
in the Moby discography, so could someone please post:
- - the release date
- - the complete correct title of this CD.
- - the catalog number
- - a tracklist with possibly track times
thanks in advance! The Moby Discography version 4.06 will be available
right after I include this CD :)

Ok,
I think we have all established what "The Artist We Refer To As Moby"
(TAWRTAM) is called on his passport and I for one think it's great that we
all shared with each other. (awwww schucks...). Somepeople however, seem to
find it irritating.

If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion, why don't we suggest that
"newbie" Moby fans check out www.moby.org (where they will find quite a

PLAY nicely children - isn't that the spirit of "TAWRTAM"????

Subject: (mobility) OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Everyone,
I apologise if I make this sound really 'girlie' and crazy and perhaps even
disjointed.. however I went and saw MOBY play 'Festival Hall' in Brisbane
last night and I am still experiencing the effects of adreneline...
Read on if you are still interested...
We got there pretty early (I went with 4 other flatmates who were only about
half as interested in the whole night as me)...
I got FRONT MIDDLE (Sarah.. sounds like I was sort of where you were...)..
must be a 'mobility' thing.. because it was TOO EASY... so there I was
staring up at Moby.. same as NZ by the sounds of it... he started with MY
WEAKNESS... and I was just AMAZED... (did you people think the bass
guitarist looked really funny??? She was pretty cool though)... So he did a
lot of the PLAY stuff (really cool).. you guys have already said exactly
what I wanted to say... it sounds like the concerts were very similar...
Umm I'm going to have to have a think about it and get back to you all when
my thoughts are all together....
He cracked the same gags... you know.. the ones about the audience naked...
and the drummer REALLY being from Brisbane.. (har har)... ummm he played
FEELING SO REAL as an encore.. and thousand.. and an accoustic PORCELAIN...
Highlights were DEFINITELY, THATS WHEN I REACH FOR MY REVOLVER (which about
15% of the audience actually knew- most of them were there for PLAY), and
FEELING SO REAL... ummm the light show was AMAZING.. just standing there
staring up at him...
I see what you mean about the dancers in THOUSAND.. hmmmm
I just LOVED every bit of it... worth every penny...
So now the embarrassing side of things.. being so close and all...
I was the one screaming out "take off your shirt" blah blah.. umm I also
went off so much he made a point of saying something... (about me)... AND..
when he chucked some drinks (water) out to the crowd.. I caught one.. its
still closed.. will stay that way for AGES.. :o)
Amanda (my flatmate) got to touch him...
*sigh*
OK... I'll give more details later.. really...
Talk to you all soon...
Jess :o)

Very nice stuff! I especially like that German Natural Blues single for the
artwork.
Oh, the cat# is actually: "INT 8 88521 2 (CDMUTE251)" Not just the
CDMute251,
then it would be the UK one...
>has the play remix cd been scrapped or wot was it not to be released june

Yeah, I'm also beginning to doubt if there will ever be such a thing as Play
Remixed.
>and also the "Official Moby website" is still not up does anyone know the
story?
Frankly, I don't know and I don't care. At least I hope it will be better
than their test
version! And I sure hope they will drop me a line if they decide to use
excerpts from
the Moby discography.
>and is it true that moby is not remixing tracks for other people?
I'm pretty sure he won't do any in the near future, in various interviews
Moby
says he still has so many ideas for his own songs, and since Moby only
remixes
when he's not working on his own stuf...

I went to hear Sasha spin ata a gig in Tokyo, and I
heard Moby, not once, but (I think) twice. One of the
DJs that opened for Sasha played the Digweed mix of
'Natural Blues'. Then, in the midst of Sasha's set he
either spun in samples from 'Go' or played some track
with samples of 'Go' in it. It was near 4:00am and I
was pretty tired, so I didn't get a fix on exactly
which it was. Oh well. Hadn't expected to hear our

Oh, and Moby plays the Fuji Rock Festival this coming

Subject: (mobility) Moby and Spirituality
It was lightly touched on in a message from some time or another earlier
this month, that is Moby's Christianity and overall spirituality. So if you
don't want to read about Moby and his religious beliefs or spirituality
overall please disregard this message....
One thing that I've noticed while being on this list for a while is that
apparently Moby has influenced (whether that be slightly or profoundly) some
of his listeners to become vegans or vegitarians...however, the other thing
he writes about quite a bit is his belief in Christianity (albeit an
unorthodox belief compared to modern Christianity). I've not read any
(correct me if I am wrong) posts regarding Moby influencing a list member to
become Christian (and I've been here for almost 3 years)... I was curious as
to why he has had been an influence to become Vegan but not Christian...I
think this is a good topic to discuss here (in my opinion Moby's religious
beliefs are as much of a part of his music as anything)...
On a similar note, I'd like to know what people (Christian and otherwise)
here on the list believe Moby's most spiritual songs to be... I would say
that on Play the two most spiritual are My Weakness and Natural Blues (yes
the sample is a very spiritual sample)... As for overall I would say that
Feeling So Real, When it's cold I'd like to die, The Rain Falls and the Sky
Shudders, Living and Help Me to Believe are (offhand) his most spiritual
songs...
I think that Moby clearly "praises God" in his songs even if the words don't
say it...its not as clear as in typical "Contemporary Christian Music" (i.e.
DC Talk, Jars of Clay etc...), but nonetheless he is praising God. But as of
right now two Christian music groups/artists are gaining wide popularity
among many (Moby and the rap/rock group POD who are actually playing
OzFest).
Anyway...feel free to disagree with me...I just wanted to get some good
conversation going on (if this isn't your idea of good moby related
conversation, sorry).
