Being the mother myself, aren't you worried about getting other people sick
going to work? I know bosses don't like it when their people call out of
work, but screw them if you're sick others will get sick, deminishing the
staff until all is well. I don't like calling out, I feel horrible just doing
that, not to mention being sick, but it needs to be understood that you
shouldn't be working. Some people say "I have no choice," I don't understand
why there is no choice available.
Sorry no more rambling. Nothing is meant to make anyone feel bad, just a rant
about bosses and managers that dont understand these things. Is anyone on
this list an owner or manager of something? Just wondering.
I don't like to belittle, don't worry

don't mind the silly title. I'm gonna write silly
titles on all my email messages from now (but i will
include in parentheses what the message is REALLY
about so you wont be TOO confused ;)
anyway, I read the mag and listened to the discs and I
think this magazine is pure crap. It's trendy, and
they act like dance music is some new thing that just
started up last week or something, the cover said
"dance is the new rock, the Internet is the new MTV,
the party starts here..." like, seriously, what year
is this? what month and what year? its Independance
Day 2000, people! and they still use the word
"electronica" millions of times in it too. come on,
get with it, that word is dead!
altho one thing was interesting, about that movie
Groove. anyone here seen it? I've heard countless bad
reviews of it (by, you know, "squares" ;) but they
kinda dont know anything about this shit. theres a top
10 list of things the Hollywood bigwigs said to the
director of the film ("nice script but.... add a gun!"
"who the hell is John Digweed?" "its just 2 hours of
people saying Hi to each other!" etc)......
and the discs, well the first one "Deep Summer" was
mostly vocal leaning stuff, almost all the trax had
vocals, but for the beats, there was a downtempo LTJ
track, an old Derrick May "classic" (their words
obviously, and it wasnt Strings Of Life or Nude Photo
neither....) Carl Craig remixing Telex, a hip hop
track, and a couple "uplifting house anthems" etc.
only 8 tracks, not that good.
the other disc, "Departures", was compiled by Thievery
Corporation, all stuff from their label. I enjoyed
this one, I don;t think Thievery are GREAT but they
deserve more credit than they get. theres some bossa
nova, some dub, some dnb, some triphop etc. you know
the deal.
overall, FOR GOD SAKE GET MUZIK IF YOU CAN it did this
shit waaaaaaaay better and way before, but theyre from
overseas so its a lot hardre to get here in America.
if you really want to see more Revolution tho, go to
www.planetrevolution.com
and I KNOW I'm the only person thinking this, but
whenever I look at the magazine, I don't think of
anything dance related, but the song "Revolution" (no,
not even the Beatles song, but the Built To Spill one,
from one of their earlier albums...)
whatever. anyway, keep being cool n stuff,
DJ PAUL

Talking about Move, were there any videos or other releases from that album?
Does anyone know?
Like people were saying before, it really does bite that we can't just buy
the videos on DVD. Because I can't, I have barely seen a Moby video, just
bodyrock and feeling so real. Terrible isn't it. Got all of this music but
no videos.

Hi, how is everyone?
Well, "Im thuper, thanks fer asthking"
Does anybody else not think the word "lisp" is incredibly cruel to people
with a "lithsp" ?? whats that all about.....?
Back to work tomorrow, I pro-miss.
You know what, I think that Moby and Tori Amos should do a song together,
(after of course, Moby has finished making his next "sure to be brilliant"
album. Yah, they could do a kinky kind of remake of "Duelling Banjo's"
(cept' with a piano and a harpsichord).
Most of you are very lucky in America, for example, do you think I can
easily find "Animal Rights" here? funny you should ask...NO!
Just a couple more questions if your still reading....
A) Just how easy is it to break it famous in the music industry over there?
New Zealand is a small country, and it is so difficult to break into an
industry that I would describe as my ultimate dreeeam...
The only thing I've ever REALLY wanted to do.
B) How long has Moby been on tour? he must be tired as a tired thing on a
tired day by now!
How does he relieve boredom? how does he control those -
AHEM, "urges"? - well! he's bloody human, who dosent have urges?!!!
C) Can someone please tell me who wrote "Momma dont let yer babies grow up
to be cowboys"? Havn't heard that song in years!!.
Well thanks for watching folks, must go, my cat is trying to tell me
something....... "whats that boy"? "food, you want food"?

I too, would sign the "Moby, please come to Harrisburg" petition. And maybe
Nelly Furtado could open up the show (www.whoanelly.com).

Check out the date on 8/5. I wish I still lived in PA... Even worse, I
will be in Japan the same time that Moby is but there is no way in hell
I am dishing out what would be more than 700 dolllars just to go to the
three day festival. When I saw Aphex in Tokyo it was 68 bucks and that
was considered cheap. Underowlrd sold out in one day for 90 buck
tickets. And I am pretty sure that the CD prices there have already been
mentioned, so it is just a warning to please stop complaining about
paying 25 dollars to see a concert. I would love to pay that anyday... Later.

Actually, for Japanese prices, $700 for 3 days is pretty darn good. $68
would be a steal! Like impossibly cheap.
I might actually go to the Fuji concert if I can get the days off from work.
In Yen the price is rather reasonable.
2001---let's hope for another good set of Moby releases!
