I am SO sorry, but I can't help but laugh at Brotha man G, it's just too
funny. But enough of that. I agree with what most of you were saying that
it doesn't matter what age a person is to listen to moby! As long as he is
appreciated, than the more, the merrier!
I hope people don't get mad at me for listening to this kind of music when
I'm old.

thats what i love seeing. people just totally moved by
Moby's music going "what the hell is this?!?!? this is
the most beautiful thing i've ever heard in my
life!!!!" thats why Moby is here basically!
also a pleasant reminder that Moby's music can do that
to people. with all this fame and money and exposure
and junk, you forget how damn powerful it can be.

can somebody scream "TRENDY"!?!?!? or also perhaps,
"SUCKER!!!!!" whatever, this guy probly thought techno
was totally stupid until MTV told him Prodigy was cool
of course ;)

why are they acting like it was a total failure with
MTV/radio? i mean he's not number one, but he's on the
radio (not Casey Casem radio but still) and MTV has
played it a little. i've talked to N Sync fans that
recognized that video with Cristina Ricci in it!
anyways.....

wow, comparing Moby to Nirvana? considering how much i
friggin love Nirvana, that gives me evne more respect
for Moby! I've been thinking lately that Nirvana were
basically somebody like the Pixies or Husker Du who
just managed to get famous, i mean "Bossanova" would
have been the most important album of the 90s if
"Velouria" or "Dig For Fire" went Top 10 or something.
its basically the same indie-rock school. but
anyways... or maybe "Monkey Gone To Heaven" but that
was the 80s... anyway,

ROCK! Moby as a punk, that makes me respect him a lot
too! (im also goin thru a whole old school punk thing
now ;)

hey wait, thats not punk at all!!! but well, i guess
the recording studio probly costs $$$ and stuff. i
sure hopes he donates SOMETHING to charity in the
future, but hey its his $ why should i even care what
he does with it?

something. sorry. ;)

OH MY GOD! Nick Drake rocks! altho the first time i
saw that ad that uses "Pink Moon" i almost thought it
was Belle & Sebastian or something! thats awesome that
they did that tho, i love that commercial. and now at
WPKN they sent us a promo single of "Pink Moon" cuz i
guess people are requesting it now! hopefully some
commercial stations will start playing it...

hmmm, is Moby the next Flat Eric? ;P
Okay enough witty Paul comments for... well, this
digest (i got one more to read i think)
also, im doing a show Monday at midnite-3am. i got the
whole playlist planned out, its gonna kick ass! and
i'll play a little Moby and some Kelis right before i
play "Honey" just kind of as a shout out to you guys
and Moby and stuff, but a lot more punk and indie rock
stuff (entire album "Bossanova"!) plus... well, i'll
post the playlist later. it's not totally Moby related
but its gonna kick friggin ass.
i should be working on my opening sound collage now,
all sorts of Sonic Youth and Sifl & Olly samples!
rock!
"I wish i could bring Nick Drake back to life, he'd
understand.... hold my ha-and...." Graham Coxon of
Blur, from his underrated solo album "The Sky Is Too
High"
ROCK!

this is interesting, after my first show at WPKN, i
ended it with the song "Mobility" (for you guys! i
love you!!!) and the next DJ up, Ruben Abreu, was
raving (no pun intended) about how cool Moby was and
stuff... and not only is he 53, but he's a Latin jazz
DJ! so he was talking about how his music is
intergenerational, it appeals to everybody. why? CUZ
ITS DAMN GOOD EMOTIONAL MUSIC! everybody, people of
all age groups, have emotion! and thats why it appeals
to people! probly the blues samples and junk too.
of course, emo people say the same thing too, that
like everybody has emotion and junk, but whatever you
all know what i mean ;)

fans so that would be kinda cool i guess *shrug*
> People think Moby is stupid coz of they parents

i kinda agree with this tho, it would be nice if more
kids were into Moby's stuff, maybe they would grow up
being more intelligent than some N Sync fan. but i'm
sure even Yale and Harvard have plenty of BSB/NS fans
so what am i even talking about ;) intelligence has
nothing to do with taste does it? (oh god why am i
even going off on this tangent ;)
> For real, Moby's Punk music kick mo' ass than some

yeah definitely! AR Rocks! altho right now i'm into
lots of old school punk rock, so i wouldnt say Moby's
is the best punk rock ever... well ok maybe but its
impossible to praise AR without givin' props to the
Ramones and Mission Of Burma and Flipper etc. for
starting all that and influencing him, there would be
no AR and probly no Moby without them. but anyway...

cool, where do you spin? parties n stuff? i got a

i vote for "over the hill"
but i dont care what he thinks. if Play has sold
millions of copies, and especially with all the
exposure its been getting, then there is automatically
thousands who hate it. pretty much everybody who makes
music has somebody who hates them, as i learned at
WPKN.
