what exactly is 3FM - is it a radio channel available through RealPlayer, or
what? I would like to listen to that Pinkpop concert, because I really like a
lot of the bands that are playing.

well amazon.com also has the go remixes 6 track on the
soon to be released list so it looks legit to me. I
have been wondering about those 200, platinum,
greatest hits cd's to... but I already bought two of
them so I guess I'm a sucker...

I currently only have Moby's main albums (Play, I like to score, etc.) Where
would you recommend I pick up the rarer stuff? Are Mute and CDNow the best
bet?

It's the national Dutch pop radio station (can also be received in northern
Belgium)
I think there's also a website that broadcasts it, I'm not sure about the
address,
but I think it's: http://www.3voor12.nl I'll check it later...
Pinkpop is a 3-day festival on June 10, 11 and 12

Visit these fine establishments:

Great for import & domestic singles and albums
www.vinylvendors.com
Great for Elektra era promos and singles
www.alternativemusic.com
They have tons of Moby. Be sure to look under Lopez, Voodoo Child, and DJ
Cake. Sometimes there's Moby stuff in their "rare items" catalog, too.
www.vinaledge.com
Is a great store. I bought a Revolver 12" from them when mine wore out. They
haven't got much Moby, but their service is friendly, which I value highly.
I have bought from all of the above successfully.
Other members of this list swear by this store:
www.action-records.co.uk
They've got shirts and PAL Moby video in addition to having a good catalog
of UK singles.

Subject: (mobility) new age moby? or new wave?
hey folks. fudgin' around at cdnow, i found another
Moby compilation sighting. this time, "Rushing" is on
a compilation called "Elevation 3" on some new age
label. other artists include Ronan Hardiman and
Pilgrimage. thats pretty scary, thinking Moby is new
age. also, the Hamden Miller Memorial Library got a
copy of Play, and they list it as "new wave" in the
computer. that's weird how they come up with these
things, when i went to San Francisco a few years ago
the library listed EIW as "new wave" too. like how do
they figure that? of course thats not as bad as when
you type "rap" and get fuckin' Boyz 2 Men or TLC or
something. no, i asked for rap, not schlock! oh well.
even weirder is when you type "techno" at the Hamden
Library, you get Radiohead "The Bends"! they file it
under "dance" too! like, how the hell did they get
that!!?!? dont these people actually listen to music?
oh well. at least at the Stratford library they got a
few tons of cool cds, especially a huge punk
selection. ever seen Mission Of Burma or Buzzcocks cds
at a library? but i told you all about that
already.... i got the new Beck cd from there too
yestrday!
ok enough babbling, bye

Subject: (mobility) Moby stuff, of course...and the cure
I would like to re-affirm my subscripition to this list...
(ok, so its not exactly like reaffirming ones wedding vows...but with all
these people becoming upset for not being able to leave the list, I thought
I'd show some support for the list).
Anways...I recieved the latest Rolling Stone today with Kid Rock on the
cover (goodness if its not a boy band or britney its Kid rock...ah!!!!), but
Play is now on the RS Readers top 20... I thought that is pretty cool. It
means that not all the readers feed into some of the crap that is written in
the mag.
I've been slacking on my Online adventures and reading...is there any word
of when a North American Tour would be starting? I really want to see mr
Moby again after last summer... but I do hope that he takes some time
off...he's been running around this world for during recent times.
I may be in a big hole...but who is Dido? Never heard of her (I've picked up
that much from reading the list).
On one last non-moby note...if you like the Cure, and they have yet to come
to your town...get tickets...go see them...I saw them Monday and it was darn
cool. They played more of their obscure and slower stuff...not too many of
"the hits" but it was sweet...3 full hours...3 encores...And since it is
supposedly the last "Cure" tour it is worth it. But on a related note, Mr.
Smith (aka Robert Smith) said something to the extent of "I would like to
colloborate with many of the music people out there right now" in an
interview in Monday's Rocky Mountain News...I don't know his music tastes
but a sweet colloboration (in my eyes) would be moby and mr. smith... I
could just imagine moby doing instrumentals and smith doing
lyrics...oh..that would be good. but heck any collab between the two would
be much enjoyed.
Enough for now.
