Subject: (mobility) Moby on Leno
Hello everyone. I don't know if this has been mentioned, so sorry if it has. I was at rockontv.com and apparently Moby will be on Jay Leno May 5th.
One more thing, I was driving down to Los Angeles, and right before Santa Barbara I think, there was a big sign that said BUSH by the road. I'm assuming it was for the band...no Moby sign though, not that I'm surprised by that.

Hello, everyone. For those of you in the IL area, I heard from a friend that
there will be a Paul Oakenfold concert in Chicago pretty soon, but I just
don't know when. (What a big help I am). Anyway, a couple days before
Mobylicious' 04/15 concert, I put up a post saying how/if I could meet him.
It ended up that I could not, but I still had an amazing time. The lighting
was amazing, he was really funny, and the music was of course great. Bush
put on a pretty good show, even though a lot of his fans present were all
like, 12. But music is universal, and I shouldn't knock any fans, even if
they are asking for it. :) Well, I must go, but before I do, I have one
question: does Moby have any control over the revenues of his music--I
remember in a chat transcript he was saying how he doesn't own the music or
something. Can anyone elaborate on this? And, I would also like to
acknowledge the nice gal who emailed me that one time--sorry I couldn't
not all cheesy pop stations have to be 100.something....in boise we have
93.1, 99.1, 103.3, 105.9, 107.1, AND 107.9. our 100.something station is
"alternative," meaning music that would have been really cutting edge about
10yrs ago....
at least moby is getting played there...only one station here ventured to
play natural blues, two played bodyrock, one played wdmhfsb?, and a grand
total of zero stations played honey or run on. the one station that played
all three here was independant. i say was, because they were bought out and
changed formats on friday to a combination of cheesy pop and alternative.
how i wish for a decent radio station here.............makes me appreciate
my cd collection...

I've heard Natural Blues a couple times and Porcelain once on San Fran's modern rock station. Once though, a pretty long time ago, the DJ at KSCU (Santa Clara Uni. station) played the whole Moby tribute album, I think that's what it was. He mentioned that he did one of the songs on it.
Have a nice night everyone.

To be fair, our alternative station plays natural blues quite a bit, they
even have it behind one of those station promo spots (which drive me insane
cuz you think your going to hear the song and then you're denied)..
Supposidely they play bodyrock once in awhile too, but i wouldn't know. I
hardly ever listen to the radio. But we did have him here for the coachella
festival so i guess someone else in my area has taste.

Subject: (mobility) My introduction
Hello, my name is Tina and I am 19 years old. I've been a big Moby fan for
quite some time. My collection includes Everything Is Wrong, I Like to
Score, Move, Animal Rights, and Play. There are a few more singles I'd like
to get as well as the collected b-sides but my pocket book isn't
cooperating. That's what college does to people I suppose.
I can't remember where I first heard Moby, perhaps it was a few years back
on a radio program called Over the Edge or on a LA radio station. I know
that since then I've been hooked.
Last night I saw Moby for the first time in concert. I must say that Moby's
performance outshined Bush by a long shot. I drove six hours to see Moby
live and I must say that it was well worth it. I just wish Moby could have
been on for a longer period of time.
I thought seeing Moby on stage was great enough. However, after the show on
my way to the car, there he was talking to fans and signing autographs. I
felt extremely honored to be able to actually come up to him, shake his
hand, and talk to him. I was touched that he would stick around to meet his
fans and converse with them. I've been beaming from the moment I entered
the auditorium until now and will be beaming for days.
I went to the show last night solely to see Moby. I've never been a big
Bush fan. I have quite a huge variety of artists in which I'm interested.
My favorites are (besides Moby) Depeche Mode, Smashing Pumpkins, Abba, BT,
and U2. However, many others are ranked almost as highly. These include
Blondie, Blur, Enigma, The Cure, Trance Atlantic Air Waves, Poe, Mono,
Delerium, Orbital, Air, Johann Pachelbel, Duran Duran, Bel Biv Devoe,
Crystal Method, Radiohead, Love & Rockets, REM, Weezer, The Turtles,
Beethoven, Sugar Hill Gang, They Might Be Giants, Ella Fitzgerald, The
Beatles, Ozomatli, the nostalgic (and sometimes cheesy) songs of the 80's
and oh so many others who would make this list three times as long.
This concludes my introduction. I apologize for its length. I'm
procrastinating instead of studying for my dreaded organic chemistry test.
