Hey guys,
My name is Kavita and I'm 22 years old.
I just became a member of the mobility mailing list. So here is my homework:
I work as a bartender in a coffeeshop. One day at work my co-worker brought
in Moby's new cd: PLAY.
I'm not going to try and tell you what I felt when I heard it because I
guess you felt it too.
I loved it so much that i loaned it from this guy and listened to the songs
over and over again. I also read the essays on the inside cover. I have
decided to become a vegetarian because of him.
When I heard he was coming to play at the Paradiso in Amsterdam I ran out
and got tickets.
I had fun worth for a year in there. He played and sang with incredible
power ans feeling.
I hope I'm not going overboard by saying that i feel connected to him.
Does anyone know when he's coming back to Holland or the UK?
Are there other people out there who were deeply influenced by his essays?
Please tell me about it!
Hope to chat with some Moby people soon!
Kavita

Heh I was in my music business and copyright class, and my professor was
talking about what bands he's been working with on legal issues. He's like
yeah I've been working with moby lately, does anyone know who he is. Of
course no one knew who the hell he was except me, so I talked to him after
the class. It seems he and his partner have been working with the tour
manager for moby because of a dispute over the sound engineer. The original
engineer had to go on leave for some time, so they got a replacent to fill
for him. The original engineer came back, and moby's management seemed to
like the new engineer better. So the old engineer is gonna sue or something
cause he was under contract. I dunno thought it was pretty interesting.
But I know most of you won't care :P

well, not like anyone would go with me anyway, nobody I hang out with

Hey Elie,
When are you coming to Amsterdam again? You should come for big festivals
like Pinkpop ( moby played there last year )
Thanx for the cd tips. At Moby's concert he sang the song : feeling so real.
I almost died. I'm going to the free record shop to get it right now.
Thanx,
Kavita

I live in ugh ... "stupid" Maryland and the only arena that I've heard that
Bush/Moby will be performing is in Virginia, at George Mason University on
the 30th of this month. If you have any other information about Moby
playing somewhere else in Maryland please let me know. Thanks!
Peace, Shera

Hi,
I've actually met the man twice, and had a very brief conversation both
times. During the Animal Rights tour he seemed really nice, then when Play
first came out, I asked him about veganism and stuff, and he talked about it
for a couple minutes.
Very friendly to fans, so don't be shy about approaching him. Just don't
scare him off or anything.
