  70. i dont take offense to his speaking his mind just the way he does it, i find 
  71. him to be pushy and maybe you dont, but i as well as many others find this

  73. i love his music, but i saw him at CREAM, which is a huge rave in montreal, 
  74. i dont really know how to describe it, but i have heard it described as him 
  75. acting like he is a christ figure, sacrificing himself for us- i wouldnt go 
  76. that far, but i think he thinks he is better than a lot of other people 
  77. becuase of what he practices and preaches.
  78. i think people should stand for something, i stand for nudity and lots of 
  79. sex, but i dont run around with manifestos about it hidden in my cds.  so i 
  80. am not saying he should shut up, but i think he preaches in the wrong 
  81. way-and i dont like it

  103. If you're talking about when he holds his hands out horizontally and
  104. remains motionless, I interpreted that differently.  I thought that stance
  105. was very striking and powerful in a theatrical sense.  That stance exposes
  106. the chakras (I hope I have the right term).  And if you wish to interpret
  107. his symbolism as religious then I wouldn't interpret it as him elevating
  108. himself to a Christ like figure at all.  If the image reminds you of the
  109. sacrifice of Christ then that might be his intention (agreed it's not too
  110. subliminal!) but it also could be the recognition of the "christ" or the
  111. potential for the characteristics of christ within every human.  I am not a
  112. Christian but I was quite struck with the aesthetics!

  142. You somehow consciously or subconsciously believe that Moby the artist has 
  143. crossed a line of standards - perhaps violated a more.

  145. Why is this?
  146.  
  147. You have the choice in reading his essays and liner notes.  He is an artist 
  148. - - not a machine.  If he were a machine, his music would have no emotion - no 
  149. life.  But Moby is an artist, a complex human with beliefs and standards of 
  150. his own.  You may love his music, but you cannot fully appreciate the music 
  151. until you understand the man behind the music.  To understand Moby is to 
  152. have a new sense of songs such as "Run On."
  153.  
  154. Moby wears no mask.  I applaud his well written essays.  While I don't 
  155. always agree/disagree with his point of view, it is certainly nice to see an 
  156. artist doing more than fashioning a new groundbreaking album in the music 
  157. world.

  159. I believe in open mindedness - therefore I have no problem with these 
  160. essays.  Those who criticize Moby and feel he is forcing an agenda... check 
  161. your level of open mindedness.  If he is somehow crossing a boundary, 
  162. perhaps you need to redraw that line - it may be too close around you.

  181. sent a remix to GREG SHIPLEY, who seems to spontaneously vanish for months

  250. It has a rather kinky picture on the front with Moby in high boots wearing
  251. only some "fish net" panty-hose, sunglasses and a dog belt with spikes
  252. of which the rope is being held tight by a beautiful scarcely dressed
  253. high-heeled blond woman. Quite an SM scene here... On the back of the
  254. booklet we find the Bodyrock skull image (blue background).  Underneath
  255. the transparent tray is the EIW Moby underwater bubble image (one of the
  256. two pictures in the center of the EIW booklet)   The backprint is made up
  257. of (on the left half) the skull image and (on the right) a Moby photograph
  258. (again from the Bodyrock single!) on a red background with the track titles.
  259. Also, the back insert doesn't quite fit the box...
  260.  
  261. Then there's the CD itself... It has the same color as the Bodyrock CD
  262. single
  263. (greenish) and even the SAME catalog# as the Bodyrock single, ha ha
  264.  
  265. I have seen these kind of bootlegs before with "the best of" Metallica,
  266. Guns 'n' Roses, Kelly Family etc.  But never with dance music. For the
  267. record companies not a nice, but still a sign that an artist is getting
  268. pretty popular!

  270. In the discography I have listed this one with all the other official
  271. releases
  272. since it's done quite professional (no cdr) and I was wondering if there

  410. about bootlegged CD's. Plenty of jail-time, and I hear they give Turkish prisons

  559. of the tracks would work that way.... I seem to remember someone talking
  560. about a ska version of Everytime You Touch Me ages ago. But if they're all
  561. remixes, it would be sweet.

  589. If it's any comfort to the record companies, I already own all the original
  590. singles with these tracks, so they're not loosing any money because of me.

  593. Anyway, is V2 also going to release a Natural Blues single, and if so, any
  594. info on when this will be? because the first radio promo already was given
  595. out in December 1999!   And according to DEF the Natural Blues single
  596. won't be out on Mute in Europe until (like Steve said) March the 6th.
  597. I'm curious about what V2's plans are...
