once in a while, depending on mood, i may feel that way about our dear
mr.moby. but what he has to say is still so much more positive, humane and
aware of the realities out there that i'm glad he puts that out there.
then sometimes i see moby in wigs, almost nude, or hear about this whole
murky kinky world that sometimes follows him around. in the end, we don't
really know this guy. but i do think we can conclude that he's doing what he
thinks is best with the information that he has. that may come off as
self-righteous and over-confident. but maybe that's how people come off when
they have something they believe and they actually *know why* they believe it
instead of just repeating something they heard that sounded good but they
don't know why.
that's all - i apologize for the prior blank email - aol stinks very often,

well,pat,
i have never read the inside of animal rights or anything like that, so i dont know what it specificly says. but moby i'm sure is the kindest man you could ever meet. what he preaches about isnt meant to make people think they are below him or anything like that. he has strong morals and seems to be very religious. he is making that point to us, that is all. he's not trying to brainwash anyone, trust me. i love his music. never in my life have i found anything to inspiring to me. im glad you and your friends enjoy his music, as well. but please dont let what he says bother you. he is a kind man, and would never mean to condescend on anybody. :)

i have to say i agree. and what i find particularly irksome is his sudden
interest in being a celebrity--here's moby at the met costume institute ball,
heres moby commenting on madonna's new record, heres moby posing for ck jeans
ads for "altruistic" reasons (remind me what's altruistic about calvin klein? i
was too distracted by his being a closeted homosexual, greedy capitalist
experiment in beta-carotene/cocaine overdose), heres moby's "serious,
menaingful music (as opposed to madonna's whos music he finds to be
"pantheistic and new-agey") licensed to any amoral corporation that wants
it--disney, mtv, abc, veronica's closet, dharma and greg, and on and on. as
much as i love moby's music, he's really lost me on the socio-political front.
apparently his "strong" political views are nothing more than stylish posing.
too bad. :<
