......................well, at least he shouldve been
;) made u look!
seriosuly, in the new SPIN it has the readers' poll,
and under spin cover that shouldve been, Blink 182 is
winner, Ani Difranco is #2, and Moby is3!!!! yay!!!!!!
moby also got props in a confusing category, best
DJ/rapper. FBSlim is #1, Bsteez is 2, Moby 3. but um,
DJ and MC are 2 different things. Moby is a dj.
Beasties are MCs. FBslim is a dj. they are apples and
oranges. they are not the same thing. this is messed
up. on the other hand, moby's got sum props so there
ya go.
also, Shirley Manson lists PLAY as one of her albums
of the year, with Deus, Beth Orton, NIN, and Quannum.
yay! and Cibo Matto lists Stereolab!!!! but nobody
lists John Linnell "State Songs" which was TRULY one
of the years best. and best "behind the music" episode
was not the Weird Al one, truly the best one (why does
nobody ever list Weird Al in "best of" type lists?
they assume he's a novelty? if he was a novelty his
career wouldnt be almost 25 years old!!!) and of
course S&O arent mentioned as best TV show (altho
Simpsons is ;)
ok, i guess bye bye.

Hello folks,
I just got my Australian revovler single that I bought off of ebay. I've
been looking for it for years. I love the Moby mix. The psycotic vee-gun
mix is ok but a little too slow and sluggish for me. Does anyone know who
did the remix to that one?
When I opened the package i was surprised to find a Borders sticker on it
considering I work at one and I have never seen it in the store or in the
computer. I took the # that goes with it and looked it up in the computer
and it might be possible for us to order it for you guys.
All you have to do is call or go to a Borders store and tell them that you
have a "Binc" number and if they could order a copy for you. The Binc # is
4854782. It might take upwards of 6 weeks to get (if at all) but it doesn't
cost anything to order and for 4.99 that would be a bargain.
At the back of the Jan/Feb Urb magazine there is a picture of Moby wearing
nothing but his undies and a sash that Miss America would wear. The sash
says Little Idiot.

they did S&O, its back. they didnt play moby tho. but
you can watch it at 2 am every monday morn after 120
minutes on MTV now, cuz its back! yayyyyy!!!!!
also, i found a Pixies spanish language translation

Hello all,
I was just informed that somebody picked up the single that I was mentioning
for the regular 11.99 import price, so I guess that 4.99 thing was too good
to be true.

that Moby is making music for him since he blatantly had a chicken smashed

Sorry, I have to pop in here on this one. The chicken wasn't "smashed to
death." John Waters says on the "Pink Flamingos" laser disc commentary
that the chicken had the "best time of its life" during that scene and then
they ate it that evening for dinner (or something to that effect--it's been
a long time since I watched/listened to it). That was over 25 years ago
anyway.
Some people need to chill a little. Moby doing a song for John Waters is
great and I can't wait to hear the outcome! Back to lurking...

I don't think vegetarian filmaking was Debbie's point. I guess with all
beliefs in life (not just unnecessary cruelty to animals in films), that
there are trillions of contradictions we all have in our lives, it's just
deciding which ones we want to eliminate. I think possibly it may be
harder to escape the "hypercritic" label when you publish essays on topics
in cds - gave me a laugh.
Who knows, maybe John Waters regrets this! I have not seen the film so I
don't know exactly what they did. There is something really really
repulsive about sacrificing animals for entertainment and I don't think it
is just vegetarian/vegans who would agree.

how's the phrase go? "kinky's not using a feather, kinky's using the whole
chicken..." something like that...
anyway, as was prolly destined to happen, i've started building a moby
site (just what we need, another moby site with more of the same info
presented slightly different). well, that's pretty much it. got the
discography split by release title with some pics, got my collection list
fer traders and the curious, some lyrics, a linked realaudio concert, etc.
what i'm looking for at the moment from you, the viewer, is
submissions/corrections of lyrics, discography data, cover images for
discography sections without any, etc.
anyhow, the site's at http://www.djmagic.com/moby/
it's only a few days old, so don't expect all to much right off.
hope everyone's getting by okay.
keep moving,
-mark

This is not meant antagonistically - but why do "some people need to chill
