  236. Well I was upset with the article in this month's issue of DJ about Moby. The 
  237. article was about a show in The Scala, London. The guy that wrote the article 
  238. apparently had very little info to go on about Moby. He didn't even know the 
  239. titles of the songs which is quite a shame considering it is a DJ magazine 
  240. and he doesn't know anything about the man.  The picture of Moby is terrible 
  241. and you can't even see Greta clearly.  and they call themselves a DJ 
  242. magazine.  Sorry just had to let out my frustrations.

  253. Touching on the DJ side of Moby... when he was in NZ he said that he doesn't
  254. do too many DJ sets anymore and he is a bit rusty.  Obviously the sets that
  255. he did worldwide this year were to help with the marketing of Play.  My
  256. question is does he do many sets in USA or are they just gigs (with band) as
  257. most of the references i've seen since subscribing to mobility have been
  258. about Moby playing sets....

  308. you know, i think mostly moby just does sets now.  BUT, when i saw him in 
  309. buffalo he was dj-ing a little bit before the show behind the stage.  at 
  310. first i thought it was just like a mix tape coming thru the speakers but 
  311. then i saw this little guy with a white and blue shirt on back there.  too 
  312. bad it was a festival and another band was playing a different stage. you 
  313. couldn't realy hear it that well.

  332. I don't think anyone mentioned it but MOBY is also in a gamers magazine, Incite.
  333. He's in the game systems Incite (theres Incite for PC and one for systems).

  353. The only time that i caught Moby this year (wah wah! ;)) was when he made
  354. a promotional appearance at ARO.space here in Seattle for a listening
  355. party for 'Play' and to do a dj set.  He wasn't even the headliner - Mark
  356. Farina was (blistering set by him, btw) and it wasn't even confirmed that
  357. he was going to be actually spinning until last minute i guess.  It wasn't
  358. really promoted that heavily either -- cuz i had friends tell me
  359. afterwards that they didn't even *know* Moby was in town, otherwise they
  360. would have been there.  So it was very low key and Moby just wandered
  361. around in the club like any other patron.  My friend who is a "dj snob"
  362. wasn't impressed with Moby's skills as a dj -- she kept commenting on his
  363. mixing and track selection...but i'm not as much of a snob...if it's
  364. kicking and it makes me dance, than i like it.  And i was most definitely
  365. dancing.

  574. hey...just wanted to say that i just bought the bad brains tribute cd, and 
  575. moby's version of "sailin' on" is so beautiful.....so gentle and not 
  576. anything you would expect to hear from a bad brains song, but wonderful just 
  577. the same!
