>1> SATURDAY NOV 27 - live from ENGAGE (drum'n'bass, techno, house)
The digi.crew has arrived safely in Washington :) We apologize for not
pulling off the remote broadcast of Feelgood on Friday night at Soup. Our
marvelous technology didn't quite work the way it was supposed to.
No worries though, we've got more music in store for you today than is
even imagineable. We're broadcasting live from the ENGAGE event down here
in Washington, DC. Put together by Ultraworld, 2Tuff and Sonic Soul, this
is possibly one of the best DJ lineups to ever hit the states. We'll be
broadcasting from two rooms, simultaneously with video courtesy of the
Steetsound/pseudo.com crew.
DJs for the main room include Scott Henry, Moby, Donald Glaude, Derrick
May, and Dave Ralph. The drum'n'bass room features the likes of
Grooverider, Fabio, Ed Rush, Andy C, Bryan Gee, Storm and Bailey. For the
set times, check our site.
The broadcast will start approximately 12 noon EST and will go to 12
midnight EST. That 9am - 9pm PST and 5pm to 5am GMT. To tune in, point
your browser towards http://www.digitalnoise.com during the broadcast
hours. Make sure you stop by the chat to let us know how it sounds.

Hey y'all, in case anyone's going to Engage tomorrow, look for me and
say hi. I'll be wearing a Myst t-shirt (that should make me unique
enough). I'm heading out there solo, so any company would be
appreciated! And everybody who goes to this show, post reviews! I
love reading reviews from Moby fans everywhere.

hhey moby fans. just have to say, it was weird, a few
days ago when he did the Vanderbilt show w/ Lo Fi
Allstars, this station WLIR was like broadcasting from
tha show. they wernet playing any of the show, but
they were like "yeah well i'm at the show and Moby's
playing right now" but they werent actually letting us
hear Moby. so i just turned up all the cool Moby shit
i have to feel the vibe. cuz knowing that people are
feeling that same damn crescent fresh vibe that i felt
that night in July, knowing people are THAT DAMN HAPPY
just makes me so happy to be alive, cuz that was far
and away the happiest night of my life. and that was
without like any friends or people i knew with me, so
it couldve gotten better (tho i did meet some WPKN
pals after tha show!)
also, HAS ANYBODY HERE EVER READ "BILLY BUDD" by
HERMAN MELVILLE?!!!!?!? I read it yestrday (its due
tomorrow) and i dont have a fucking clue what's goin
on. little help?
right, hope u liked thanksgivin or whatever. i got a
damn report to do and welllll........ so i gotta go.

Hello!
Name - Jane
Age - 25
Have - PLAY - have to resist strong urge of buying all my friends a copy
for their birthdays!
Other music I like - haven't quite thrown off my teenage Cure days, Nick
Cave and the Bad Seeds, and against all odds, have acquired a strange taste
for Dean Martin (as my sister dances around to it most evenings). "Cha cha
cha d'amour" is not the sort of song to be caught singing at the photocopier.
Went to see Moby when he came to Brisbane, Australia, last week. Had a
fantastically amazing time. He is so entertaining and energetic. (But you
already know that!) I didn't mind losing twice my body weight in sweat or
smelling like a gigantic cigarette breath. Have been playing the CD
incessantly since then.

the question of how it felt to be asked to be a ck "model" was that it was
very odd being that he is 5"8 and has a receding hairline. he can be very
self deprecating. they played bodyrock, porcelain, run on in the background

they also got some lovely footage of all of us
sweating away at the front of the crowd.. anyway, i
thought his set kicked ass. i read this article in a
d.c. newspaper where he said he didn't think he was

Subject: (mobility) i still recall the taste of your tears
[ - - Engage - Washington DC - - ]
Um, wow.
(I wasn't there, but i caught most of the digitalnoise.com broadcast)
Watching/listening to that made me long to be on the dance floor amid the
throngs of sweaty arms and mad beats. I haven't been to a party (err...a
"rave") in ages. I didn't really feel like i was missing it until i
plugged the Engage broadcast into my real player. I mainly listened to
the drum'n'bass room - at least until Moby's set - and i could just feel
the energy in that room. I haven't been to a crazy jungle show where the
entire crowd is a jumping, pumping sea of energy...asking for rewind after
rewind in months. I miss it. Listening to Ed Rush brought back memories
of seeing him here in Seattle. What a show!! I left a wasted, drained,
tired mess! I loved it!
And finally Moby. He has such an amazing intense presence about him. I
could see it even through the pixely view streaming into my computer. He
never seemed to stop moving - he was constantly swaying to each track like
he had all this pent up energy wanting to explode. I could have easily
pictured him going off just as hard as any other partier there on the
dance floor. I literally got tears in my eyes once or twice because i had
forgotten how much joy this type of music gives me - and with a big grin
on my face i could sense the moments when i would be jumping and cheering
for more (if i were there) and the moments when the build would give me
chills (if i were there) and when the break would cause me to go off like
mad (if i were there).
Even though i wasn't there i am glad they broadcast it. It was nice to
get a glimpse into a party on the other side of the country. I hope to
read some reviews from those of you who were *actually* there soon.
How much do you think Moby charges for a dj gig? :)
dreamily, sarah
