Subject: (mobility) AHHH...I eat meat,I am a bastard..off topic by the way
Ok...to krwilson. Whymust I keep defending my meat eating habits.
I do not use Moby as a source of facts so please stop saying refer to the
liner notes of "everything is wrong"...if I wanted a bunch of stats and
facts I would look...but since I am not a vegan I am not bothered by these.
As for knowing ranchers, I know plenty...I lived in texas for 18 years,
maybe you don't remember how much the texan beef industry got pissed off
when Oprah did her show about the industry and got sued. You don't know
really know how big the industry really is and how many people rely on
cattle for income and animals for income. Gambling is legal in most states,
most states have a lotto that they get millions and millions of dollars
from. You can't just shut down an economy that has been built upon an
industry for over 2 centuries and expect us to survive.
Comparing people who eat meat to Nazi's is just a stupid fucking statement,
the fact is animals are not human, if you can't get over that, take a
elementary science class.
It doesn't matter if grain can be more readily available and at more
quantities..the fact that I DON'T WANT TO EAT GRAIN AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR MEAT
defeats that.
I am being honest as far as recycling goes, and most people are like me..so
I am a realist. There aren't readily available "recycling centers" within
miles of me. People are too busy and work too much and never have an
leisure time to sort their trash...people want trash to be gone when the
trashman picks it up.
Yeah, it be nice if we lived in a perfect world where we didn't have to
worry about money and things and stuff. BUT WE DON'T...we are not all like
moby and have as much time to devote ourselves to better society.
I have to work 6hrs a day go to college part time and sleep..find someone
who can sort my trash for me and who will pay all my bills and I will live
with the earth in peace and all. I pay money to have my trash picked up,
and I would like it to stay that way. We live in a fast world, philosophy
and saying what it "should be" is great and all, but until you make it
practical and a livable solution for me, I can't adopt it.
Bugs have feelings also, they have nerves and feel pain. Yet we kill them
without any remorse. THEY ARE ANIMALS...heh, this is getting old..I am not
going to be converted to veganism..and until someone with money and power
develops something better for the environment nothing will change
either..that is the facts please refer to my liner notes.
If you believe in everything Moby says then fine..I appreciate that.
But don't treat me like hey this kid is ignorant I should refer him to what
moby says..I am saying my opinions because I BELIEVE THEM.
I appreciate moby for his music...but it is like cause I don't agree with
moby then I am a bastard nazi. Heh, all I know if ya wanna try to be like
moby, then don't compare me to a nazi, because I know he certain wouldn't do
that. If ya squash ants and kill mosquitos and roaches..then you are just
as bad as me. THE BUGS FEEL PAIN DAMMIT. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD please end
this vegan thing, because it's obvious I don't agree with you.
A perfectly happy meat eater,
Chris

Subject: (mobility) Moby's Porno Flick
I seem to remember to little blubs about Moby doing a movie about porno,
called Porno (this is what happens when you subscribe to entertainment news
via e-mail ~ lots of little blurbs with no follow-up).. Anyway, I went back
to reread it and it said that it was supposed to be submitted to Sundance in
the beginning of October... Anyone know how it went? The image of Moby
playing guitar with 2 dildos strapped to his head is just way to bizarre for
me.... And leave it to Moby to go into a super odd movie, nothing mainstream
for him.... Still.... I will have to muster up all of my devotion to even
attempt to see the flick... Anyone know anything else about it?

Got the Bad Brains tribute CD yesterday!
Sailin' On by Moby is simply GREAT!!! but I don't
understand why this beautiful tranquil song is on
a Metal album, the other 18 songs are all banging
guitars and screaming voices from artists like Skinlab,
Ignite, Ryker's, Sepultura and Turmoil...
Moby sings the vocals for Sailin' On himself and I must
say they does it better than on any song on Play!
I wonder how the original from the Bad Brains sounds,
because Moby turns this song into a gentil little broken
hearted love song.
I also like the lyrics: (kind of Porcelain-like!)
==========================
You don't want me anymore
I'll just walk right out that door
Play the game right from the start
I trust you, you use me, now my heart's all torn apart
I'm salin', I'm salin on
And Movin', oh movin' on
Sail on, sail on...
==========================
(these are not the complete lyrics)
The music kind of reminds me of Everloving.
Oh, this Bad Brains Tribute CD isn't in the
discography yet, but I'll get right on that :)
Oh, and would you guys please stop attacking
eachother on that 'eating meat' thing? Thanks.

Subject: (mobility) MOBY in Paper magazine!!!
Ok guys listen up!
I just got the Paper magazine because Moby was on the cover and the article
about him. There is an article about his new album, Play, and the success
that its had since its been released. As I read the article, i came across
something that was sort of weird to me. There is a picture of him and at the
bottom it says, Moby wears a top by Prada. what the heck is that all about?
Anyways the article says that Moby will be posing for Calvin Klein ads along
with other celebrities. What is going on here? I don't know about this but
then as i kept reading on he says that the money he made from these ads will
be going to charity.
Well folks I'm sure many of you are going to make comments about this. A lot
of you might be thinking that Moby is going commercial but maybe the article
should be read before you guys start with the comments about this.
As far as I'm concerned, I love Moby's music and I love the man for being so
brilliant in dishing out such sounds. I feel that Moby's music is really
important to me and it makes me happy. As long as he keeps making his music
that is all I really care about and Moby's health of course! =)
