i heard that they play both bodyrock videos late at night...like 2 or
3 am.
my friend has seen them ...but i have stayed up a few nights waiting
for them
and they never come on!!!! the only thing i have seen is the commercial
for
MTV
>

exactly! i saw the video at like 2 am. it was
on 'AMP', mtv's techno show. i used to watch AMP, but
they moved it to an awful time slot now, so that was like the first time
i had seen it in like 2 years. and i turned it on by accident,
and saw those 2 videos!

but what i think about mtv is that they are good for everything except
music. i love their shows: sifl n olly, tom green, real world, etc.
but their videos are complete bullshit, and i don't even expect to see
anything good anymore. that's why when i saw moby and bjork,
i was so surprised.

Oh My GAWD!
I don't know whether to be happy or disgusted. "Bodyrock" just showed up as
the new theme song for the new season of the incredibly vapid sit-com
"Veronica's Closet" starring the increasingly unfunny and, now, blond
Kirstie Alley (although she was good in "Silver, Nevada", but not in "Drop
Dead Gorgeous."
Good exposure, I guess. But it could be on a better show.

I just converted another one of my friends into a Moby Machine.
I luv it.
She was going nuts with issues lately and so I sat her down and made her
listen to In the Blue, My Weakness, Hymn, and Everything Is Wrong. It was
so powerful that she started to Cry. She said that the musik was haunting
and then she said, and get this,
"It is Soooooooo True"
"whats True" I asked. We were playing Everything Is Wrong at the time.
"This world is so fucked up. I can hear this guy talking to me through the
tunes. It's like God is watching down on us with his head in his hands,
saying where did I go wrong. And this musik is the soundtrack."
The scary thing is that she didn't even know the name of the song or the
album. When I told her she told me to get out of town, so I showed her the
cover to prove it and she fell in love with it. She is more happy now than
I have ever seen her. It's like she is more focused now.
Moby I Thank You Soooo Much.

Hi there everybody!
David Chamberlain, posted a link about WDMHFSB on the list
and this is what it said:
>The track - taken from current album 'Play' out now on Mute - is available
on two CD >formats, one including remixes by ATB, Ferry Corsten and
Subsonic,
Ok, we knew this.... (great remixers!)
I guess the Faithless and Sharp Boys remixes are promo-only, or for the
12"..(?)
>the other with new tracks 'Flying Foxes' and 'Princess' and the
>video for 'Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?'.
Do I read this right? YESSSSSSS the video on CD!!!
I guess it will be in crappy .mov format (since Moby uses a Mac) but still,
whoooohoooo, that would be nice! Just wondering... can a Mac read Mpeg
movies?
And I already love the titles of the b-sides!! :)

ok.. HOwdy and here it is.... HI I'm april and I got to know moby from my
best friend Rob who is also on this list.. (hi rob) anyway.... I was told by
rob that I had to go see moby at his dallas show, so I figured what the hell
and I went out and bought Play... I totally got into it.... I loved the
whole thing.. I really dug all Moby's essays... it was great..I was getting
totally excited and I couldn't wait... but as fate would have it... I didn't
get to go to the dallas show.. I was pretty sad,, but the gods shined down
on me and I got to go to the show in St. Louis... It was the most awesome
thing I have ever experienced...It was no less than a religous
experience...To top off my evening.. I got to meet moby before the show and
after.. After the show I went to tell Moby thanks and HE GAVE ME A HUG AND
KISS....... I almost fell over on him....it was great.... the whole show
was so intense.. I've never felt anything like it... crazy it is
something.. I will see again... no matter what...... so hi
everyone..woooooooo fun and thanks if you read this far.....
kisses for the world,
april

Okay, stop PATRONIZING us about your little show! It has NOTHING to do
with Moby, nor Moby's ethics, NOTHING! It's just propaganda for MTV.
If I wanted to read commercials I would look elsewhere, not mobility.
If I were to say the same thing about some other product (then that
show) perhaps it would appear even more clearly to you that it is
PROPAGANDA and ADVERTISING and that you are doing them a service by
promoting it (they're the ones ultimately laughing to the bank)
For example: "Coke is bringing back cherry sprite! It has a lovely
fresh flavour and zing! Just for you Coke is producing a whole new
FLAVOUR and increasing distribution across the world"
(this example is bogus, but illustrates my point)

Yes! Earthdance! Last years event in Seattle was AMAZING! (and to add a
bit of moby'ness to this post) - I think Moby doing an ambient/chill set
for one of these parties would be spectacular! I am sooooo looking
forward to Earthdance this year (it's so cool that it is always on my
birthday weekend...whoohoo! :)). It always starts early early in the
evening (so that we are able to play the Prayer for Peace synchronized
track) and goes way way into the next day. It was such a warm, lovely
party last year..with no bad elements or sketchiness at all...i can't wait
and i hope a bunch of you get to experience such a great event also.
Oh and the website for it is actually http://www.earthdance.org.

Probably not in the near futrue then if he is going to release a Play Remix.

I heard their first single and it is pretty cool. The video is a bit wierd

Hello to everybody!
after a long hot summer i'm at school again, thus i have re-joined this
great list. it's gonna take some time until i realize what happened while
i was off and find my former place here, but i'm already looking forward
to it.
during this holiday i was in germany and came across a moby poster in a cd
shop. gee.. it is my first (and i guess the last too) moby poster, it's an
advertisment for the PLAY album and it shows the cover. it cost 3,- DM,
what is an amazingly low price for a poster in my home country. Does somebody
has any spare moby posters ? from shows, albums etc... . i know, that in the
A.R. booklet, there is a photo of some street somewhere (i guess ) in NYC,
and one of the walls is covered with EIW posters.
the merchandising conditions for foreign countries are quite unacceptable, so
if anyone could help.... surely i'll pay (if necessary :-) ).
hello to all new members, hello to all the old ones, hello to me and hello to
moby !
yours KOHUT.
