i think it would be cool if MOBY collaborated with SINEAD O'CONNOR and CYNDI
LAUPER. Im thinking even work with ME'SHELL NDEGEOCELLO would be interesting.
BECK's a great idea. More interesting ideas would be LUSCIOUS JACKSON and
TOWA TEI, formerly of Deee-Lite.

I was just browsing NBC's website, when lo and behold, I saw that
Moby will be on the Conan O'Brien show tomorrow (Wednesday the 21st)!
What luck! Will he be interviewed? Perform? Hopefully both, but
I don't know. Anyways, let's not miss it!

sup,
here in Canada they have played "Honey" and "Run On" on muchmusic, so
hopefully this friday sook yin will play "bodyrock" on the Wedge, she played
the first two so i am hoping...
...last night i was listening to the university station in Waterloo, of
which i have a show with my friend, and i heard a remix of "Run On" i
haven't heard, but it was so very boring, a little sample from "Run On" and
then like 5 minutes of kick drum, no pads no nothing, then the sample came
back and ended with typical Moby ambient synth, nice ended , but very
uncreative, who's mix is that. I mean if Moby thinks that's good then he
should ask some of us on this list to do some mixes for him, i no we would
be more creative and simply better than some of the remixers he's used in
tha past...
although some mixes have been brilliant, Westbam's mix of "Feeling So Real",
RJ's mix of "Honey" (who is RJ anyways) etc...
maybe we should list our top 5 Moby remixers, and the Worst Moby remixers,
and compare with one another, there are still some i have never heard, so it
would be interesting to see what people think...

sup, just read Eric's "spirit" video imagery, i've done tha same for many
Moby tracks, ecspecially tha "Honey" singles...i always listened to
"Micronesia" and "Memory Gospel" on the subway to work and they were the
perfect soundtrack, i mean really if you think about it they are a perfect
soundtrack for life, the rushing and going, and relaxing and peaceful of
living...the words "everything will be alright" come across my mind
everytime i get into "Memory Gospel", it's so beautiful and emotional, my
eyes tend to swell up and a faint smile comes across my face...so my video
for that track would be looking threw my eyes as i ride the subway, as i
look at people, feeling and listening to this beautiful, tranquill song, as
my thoughts come upon the screen, ex...looking at an old woman, looking
tired and sad, my thoughts of "i no things will be alright, you a so
beautiful" and would continue like that, untill my stop comes and i get of
and disappear forever from my fellow subway riders...so anyways, that my
vision for that track, it would be interesting to hear from more of you
about Moby Video Imagery...
peace to all

This probably is the Dani K÷nig remix, AND I HAPPEN TO LIKE IT!
I've only heard bad things about it from the ones who have heard it,
isn't there anybody besides me who also likes it?

Cool, I like these kind of lists!
Best remixers:
1- Rollo & Sister Bliss (remixed Revolver & Honey)
2- Beatmasters (remixed Everytime You Touch Me & Into The Blue)
3- Plastic Angel (from the German Run On 12")
4- Jam & Spoon (remixed Go)
5- Dani K÷nig (remixed Run On & Bodyrock)
Worst remixers
1- Jon Spencer (he tried to remix Into The Blue)
2- Sharam Jey (remixed Honey & Run On)
3- Crystal Method (remixed Come On Baby)
4- Piet Blank & Jaspa Jones (James Bond Theme (Da Bomb Remix))
5- Junior Vasquez (remixed Into The Blue)
I must admit that these 2 lists probably say more about my musical
taste than the remixer's quality, so no flaming please...

thanks to Lainey for thanking this list. This is my
favorite list too. But this is really interesting, my
friend Jon (who may or may not still be on this list,
he was at one point) is on the Sifl & Olly list with
me of course, and he said to that list that he thinks
its the best list ever. Thats pretty weird.....
speaking of Thanks, any news on the tribute cd? fo
rthose who dont know (since its seldom mentioned here
;) were doing a sequel to the Moby tribute cd we did a
while ago. the first was called THANKS and the new one
isTHANKS 2.....
????
speaking of tribute cds, i got 2 trax on an upcoming
S&O tribute cd, Banging On Some Pots & Pans (we had a
lengthy battle over the title of that one too ;)
the first, from Season 1ne, is an a capella "Cindy's
The Hostess", and the second from season 2wo, is a
version of the new Crescent Fresh song, from Calls
From The Public. I played an instrumental track on the
Casio (featuring the same drum track and ending as the
Sgt. Blind Kiwi Tarzan song from the Battle Of The
Bands!) and me and my sisters sang over it. ROCK!!!!
hmmmm..... anyway, thanks to all you folks who posted
music video ideas.... i cant WAIT to see the animated
video for WDMHFSB? rock!!!
bye!!

I like the Dani K=F6nig remixes of "Run On" and "Bodyrock" better than
most (if not all) of the other remixes, but I can understand why most
people dislike them. They are very simple, repetitive, and do not
seem to have taken much effort to make. But I think that as remixes,
they are quite effective in conveying the mood of each song through
minimalism. Somehow the more accessible remixes feel more disposable
to me. But hey, I'm an INTP*. :)
BTW, Bart, I have to disagree with you on the Sharam Jey remixes.
I think that they're a lot of fun.

Exactly! I listen to those remixes the most, or at least I like them

mandi maycumber-for some reaSon i really like that
name!
moby at woodstock-i'm a westcoaster, but what i've
read about woodstock is that they are not advertising
anything except marquee(SPELLING?)main stage acts. but
the electro circus is supposed to be jumping all night
night fun. i heard a blurb somewhere that perry farel
would be doing a dj set?!?!
remixes-i just really dig the moby remixes. it pains
me to buy the singles that don't have moby remixes or
unreleased b-sides. most of the time the remixes just
don't do the songs justice.
thanks? yeah, when is it coming out?
this list. rocks! ...sometimes. sometimes, it makes me
laugh for other reasons. but it's definitely an
intelligent moby loving bunch of folks!
