SO HOW DOES IT SOUND MAN?!? it's the only mix i
haven't heard. is it a moby mix?

i'm assuming you don't collect vinyl, right? because
the lucky orgasm mix(really good mix!)is on one of the
12"s. and i hear that there pretty easy to find.

Wow! I love this CD. It is one of my favorite ultra-rare Moby items.
I'm so glad that you were able to get a copy.

AH!! Animal Sight was the one I was thinking of!!
Thanks for correcting me! I saw the European Version for only 14.99 at a local
store (they must have messed up on the pricing). Normally I see it for about
20-25 dollars and that is not worth it. 14.00 however I can deal with.
Bart,
that Hymn CD with the 5 mixes on it sounds awesome. Please let us know how the
mixes are.

The European version has the beautiful song Animal Sight that's
not on the US version and has a different (and IMO much better!)
version of Dog Heaven (with beats). The European version also
has a different, shorter version of Honest Love, but I think the US
version of Honest Love is much better.
I didn't regret buying both versions of End Of Everything for a second!
(I got the US cd very cheap at eBay, for only $ 5.00 I believe...)

I was reading the reviews part of Daniel's Moby.org, and saw that he wrote
down that the bodyrock single (us version) will not be including the song
Sunspot, as well as another song (can't remember what though). They were
initially there but now deleted. I went looking around at some sites
including cdnow, and found the cd had a listing of six songs instead of
eight. Anyone have any reasons why this may be?
Sunday is still shown on the cd, but was already released as a b-side on
Run on. It would have been nice to hear Sunspot instead because I always
love to hear new music. Although as songs go Sunday is an incredible track,
not to dismiss it in any way.

Yes, it is a Moby mix. Are you sure you haven't heard it?
It is on the regular UK 12" together with the Dirty Hypo mix.
HYMN [1994]
UK 12", Mute, 12MUTE161
A1 4:41 Hymn (This Is My Dream Extended Mix)
A2 8:43 Hymn (Laurent's Wake Up) [Laurent
Garnier]
B1 5:49 Hymn (Upriver)

I DO collect vinyl!
I have both UK Hymn 12"s so I also have the Lucky Orgasm
mix (which is also on EIW mixed/remixed and the US Hymn
promo 12"...)

Yeah right, did you read my Go story (about how all stores have it in their
catalog (often very cheap) and can't supply it..) Well, the same story with
this CD! This is probably the reason why it is so expensive on eBay right
now!

I know.... There probably is no such thing as a Move 2x12" but I only have
the UK remix 12" of Move and I also would like to have another Move 12"
(the US promo 12" would be nice...)
>unlike the German Hymn CD which Bart miraculously discovered with

Well, I didn't discover it due to my "unflagging persistence" it was plain
luck. I was just browsing around for Moby stuff, I wasn't looking for
anything specific...
>(that probably IS the last one, Bart) :)
Ah come on Steve, not so negative!
We all thought there were none left before I got mine too!
A few days ago I also ordered:
MOBILITY [Nov 1990]
US 12", Instinct, EX-226
A1 6:15 Mobility
A2 4:35 Mobility (Aquamix)
B1 6:15 Go
B2 4:10 Time Signature
Who would have expected this one would still be around!

I also read the Bodyrock discography info on www.moby.org
Were you in a hurry Daniel?, because I miss track times and release dates.
If you don't have this info yet, I'll give it to you as soon as I have my
_ 8 track!!_ Bodyrock single (I'll probably get it this week..)
I don't know why the regular release 'only' has 6 tracks, I guess 8 tracks
was a bit too much for a single and someone decided that Sunspot
and the album version of Bodyrock were the most disposable ones...
The album mix I can understand... But sunspot? THIS IS A GREAT SONG!

whoa! i am TRULY confused!! help me out here people! i
went to the moby.org discography(thanks daniel)and i'm
not sure that cleared it up for me. i've got 2
slimline cd's...
HYMN {#1} (24:10) [1994]
UK CD, Mute, CDMUTE161
BE CD, Mute/Indisc, SABAM 2100955
1 3:45 Hymn (This Is My Dream)
2 2:45 All That I Need Is To Be Loved (H.O.S. Mix)
3 8:57 Hymn (European Edit)
4 8:43 Hymn (Laurent's Wake Up)
and
HYMN.ALT.QUIET.VERSION {#2} (33:43) [1994]
UK CD, Mute, LCDMUTE161
BE CD, Mute/Indisc, SABAM 2100956
CD, Mute/Intercord, MUTE INT 826.632 (LCDMUTE 161)
NOTE: This a very powerful, prayerful ambient track.
1 33:45 Hymn.alt.quiet.version
then i have 2 different 12"s. they are both black and
both have the moby logo for that time period on the
cover. one logo is silver and one is gold. i know that
one of them is this...
HYMN [1994]
UK 12", Mute, L12MUTE161
A1 5:57 Hymn (Menacing)
A2 7:02 Hymn (European Mix)
B1 5:57 Hymn (Lucky Orgasm)
B2 7:08 Hymn (I Believe)
but the other only has 3 songs on it!! i am almost
100%
postive about this! it has Hymn (Laurent's Wake Up) on
one side. the other side has dirty hypo and one other
track. it's freakin' me out! am i loosing my mind? i
live five minutes from work and am off right now in
107 degree heat to check it. i'll be right back, but
if anyone else knows what the hell i'm talking about.
please post!

I have the same two common CDs as you, Christian. I have a US promo record
w/ a similar track listing to your UK 12".
HYMN promo US 12" w/l promo, Elektra, ED 5695
A1 5:58 Hymn (Menacing Mix)
A2 7:21 Hymn (Dirty Hypo Mix)
B1 5:57 Hymn (Lucky Orgasm Mix)
B2 7:08 Hymn (I Believe)
And I have this UK 12", the release version of your 3 track promo:
HYMN [1994] UK 12", Mute, 12MUTE161
A1 4:41 Hymn (This Is My Dream Extended Mix)
A2 8:43 Hymn (Laurent's Wake Up)
B1 5:49 Hymn (Upriver)
B2 7:21 Hymn (Dirty Hypo)
>but the other only has 3 songs on it!! i am almost
>100%
>postive about this! it has Hymn (Laurent's Wake Up) on

Here is the one you have and are wondering about:
HYMN promo [1994]UK 12" promo, Mute, PL12MUTE161
A 8:43 Hymn (Laurent's Wake Up Mix)
B1 7:02 Hymn (European Mix)
B2 7:21 Hymn (Dirty Hypo)
Hope that clears everything up. The release version of your 12", Christian,
has the Upriver mix and has a nice picture sleeve. (imagine the Hymn cover
with blue over red background instead of vice versa) and a silver painted
Moby on the back. (his face) The Upriver mix is a bouncey drummy mix with
lots of congos, bongos, and the like. Interspersed throughout are "we be
jammin" and a choral "OH-OH oh-oh OH-OH oh-oh" I like it a lot, but Dirty
Hypo is my favorite. :)

mute uk 12" L12mute161. i didn't see the other one

my favorite series of moby remixing his own work.
which is what i ALWAYS collect first. then i get the

thanks steve! the upriver mix sounds awesome! some of
my favorite moby remixes are the ones that he plays(or
loops) a lot of congo on, or plays the bass. like the
extra(i think) mix of move, and the moby dub of
a.t.i.n.i.t.b.l.,hmm..as well as moby's dub of fealing
so real. so it looks like i'm now on the hunt for the
upriver mix of hymn.
thanks again

Whoa! This was just a misunderstanding. I didn't say that those
tracks were deleted. I said they *may* have been deleted. In fact,
they weren't. I just got the US "Bodyrock" CD, 12", and promo 12"s
today, and I can confirm that all eight tracks are on the US single.
Here's what happened. Last month, I found out the US CD maxi-single
track listing, which has eight tracks. Well, just the other day, I
was browsing CDnow, and saw that CDnow only listed six tracks. That
is why I put the advisory on my site that said "tracks 6 and 8 may
have been deleted". I will remove that bogus advisory and also add
track times and reviews ASAP. Sorry for the confusion.
