Hi Everyone,
The most amazing thing happened today. I've read this list for close to two
years now, envying all of you that live in big cities that actually play good
music on the radio stations. However, I live in Arkansas :( And i figured that
hearing moby on the radio hear was just out of the question. Imagine my
surprise, when driving through my town of Fayetteville, i heard Bodyrock on the
X 104.9 I nearly ran off the road. I remember the days when none of my
friends knew who the hell moby was, and now he's in rotation on the radio.
Ahhhhhhhh what a day
:)

one of the Voodoo Child singles, or any of my promos (about 10). But of
course, the one I have serached the most for is the one I don't have -
Underwater. Oh well. Someday. Later.

Didn't know it at the time, but it seems pretty rare now. I haven't
seen this anywhere since I bought it about 1.5 years ago. Of course,
there is only one good track out of three (same title), but I am glad
to have it.

I have some good stores in my area (Boston) and I can get you most
singles. I just ask that you pay me (the cost of them) back once I
send them to you.
Stuff I KNOW I can get:
- Feeling So Real (remixes)
- Every Time You Touch Me (remixes)
- UK Run_On (two different CDs with good b-sides, 3 tracks on each)
- Bring Back My Happiness
- Honey/RUn_On remixes
- Honey 1. (honey, micronesia, memory gospel)
- Honey 2. (honey with 4 remixes)
the above are US release unless otherwise noted. I could probably get
INTO THE BLUE singles, but I can't remember if I have seen them or
not. Please don't ask for EVERYTHING IS REMIXED because I can't find
it. Goto gemm.com for that.

Andrew(UHF@aol.com) asks what was the hardest Moby release we have gotten.
Well, I don't have anything I would consider hard to find. I am new to the
mailing list, so I wanted to write to see if anyone had suggestions for
getting Moby releases. I have Everything is Wrong, Move, I Like to Score,
Moby, Rare- Collected B sides, Early Underground, and Play. And I would like
to add to my Moby collection. Do people on this list usually talk about his
music only? I've only been on a couple of days, and i've noticed that people
have not really addressed Moby's essays or beliefs, Although I'd rather talk
about his music anyway.

Yep, this one is REALLY hard to find... I've only seen it once on some
(probably outdated) backorder-only website. Oh well, I have got the
UHF 12" on the XL label, and all the tracks from the single are on
Early Underground too...
>but since I don't really know the availability of CDs, it could be Go,
Yes, a strange thing this US Go single... It is listed on almost every
online record store's catalog, but when I order it, it always turns out to
be a backorder and after a month I always get the message they can't
supply this single because it is out of print.
DUH, TELL ME SOMETHING NEW!
And what I also hate is when (Go) singles that are labeled IN STOCK
are not in stock and turn out to be stinking backorders. And when they
mail me "this single is currently not available" they often say: "We keep
it listed in our catalog in case it becomes available again" YEAH RIGHT
I don't think it's nice to advertise with things you can't supply!
>2CD Come on Baby
Hmm, I also used to think this one was pretty rare, but it has been on
eBay a lot lately and I believe I saw it listed on several websites...
>one of the Voodoo Child singles,
Any store/site that can do backorders can supply these, they are
not that rare...(yet!)
>or any of my promos (about 10).
Yes, promos are always limited.
Oh, speaking of promos, I have the James Bond promo now.
(thanks for the offer a while ago AJ!)

Funny, when I bought EIW+Underwater in '95, there were LOTS
of them! They even could be backordered until the end of 1998
I believe... Mute should re-issue this timeless Moby album!

Recently at Towers, I saw MOBY's PLAY listed for $21.00. I also saw the PLAY
CD listed for $13.99. Though the two CD's looked similar, I was wondering if
there was an import version of PLAY I did not know about. If there is, what
is on it that is not on the US release.

Monday, I tried to make a request to see a Moby video on MTVE by the net. As
you couldn', I mailed a message asking why we never see Moby videos.
Believe it or not,
Moby was on MTV Europe for SElect at 5 ! (Maybe my mail wasn't the cause of
it but it is if not a nice coincidence.)
He participated to the show with Trey who interviewed him about Play, ALan
Lomax, his life... Moby said that he wanted now to marry, live in a big house
with his wife, his children and animals (of course). We saw the Run On video
that was really cool.
Did anyone record the show ? ( TO make me a copy)
Next step, Moby in Total Request (maybe with Bodyrock).
That's all for now boys and girls.

Hey I'm a newbie to this list, here's my info:
name: dave
age: 21
Moby Collection: I own 24 Moby cds, nothing really rare or anything.
Got 3 versions of Animal Rights(american, german, and english), two
version of everything is wrong, the end of everything, plus all the
other albums and a few import singles.
Moby Intro: First heard everything is wrong when it first came out,
then i got animal rights on a whim, been hooked since then.
Other Artists I like: Sunny Day Real Estate, Spiritualized, Teenage
Fan Club, Aphex Twin, Catherine Wheel, Radiohead, VAST, Echo and the
Bunnymen, etc.
I'm from Tampa, Florida. Not the greatest place to see tours since they
rarely make it florida. I'm also in a band, www.youbringthemidget.com
which is a dark ambient rock band, and
www.youbringthemidget.com/filthy/home.html is my electronic alias page.

Well Jayson, I see finding Moby stuff as a sport. I spend a lot of my
free time on searching the internet for Moby recordings. I don't usually
give URLs away. (to stay in sports terms) it would be like winning a
swimming contest with a speedboat...

Hehehehehehehe :)
I just berly read the comments on the last Mobility E-Mails.
***** PEACE EVERYBODY! ******
Anyways, Welcome to all the new folks that just joined this list.
Most of the time we are a lively group here.
Hey Daniel Cerman anything on the playlists for the different
BODYROCK Singles? Any news would benefit us all.
Some TIPS for the new or Mis-Guided Readers:
Yes some MOBY releases are hard to find. That is why such a e-mail
distribution is so handy because all benefit from the Information
available GLOBALLY. You can find all of MOBY's releases on the Internet
(Online Music Shops, and Web-Auction Sites).
It was cheaper and easier for me to buy the RUN ON\HONEY Singles and PLAY
Release from the INTERNET then at my Local record store and Best Buy, etc.
Maybe other readers can help you locate MOBY music.
WHERE ARE THE BEST INTERNET RECORD SHOPS WHERE YOU CAN FIND HARD TO FIND
MOBY RELEASES? This would make a nice topic along with the topic that
Andrew requested: "WHAT WAS THE HARDEST MOBY RELEASE(INCLUDING PROMOS)
THAT YOU HAVE GOTTEN YOUR HANDS?"
Another source you may want to check the Mobility Archives for sources
where to find things.
I have dealt with:
www.cdnow.com (Dependable - Couldn't get some rare Moby stuff from them)
www.ab-cd.com (Dissapointing - Tried to Order "Why Can't It stop?" from
them. They couldn't get it for me.)
www.buy.com (Cheap prices - they have popular Moby Stuff)
Do a search at GEMM (http://www.gemm.com/), search for Moby, and you
find a lot of stuff at various online music stores!

Yes, Daniel has been awfully quiet lately...
I'll probably get the 2 European Bodyrock singles this weekend,
perhaps I'll review the remix cd...
I'll have the US CD next week I think.

Yep, I've had the same experience, I ordered about 8 cd's and I only
got 2 of them at a rediculous shipping rate ($9 I believe)
(one of the two CDs wasn't even the cd I intended to buy! Grrr)
What is ab-cd.com's slogan again?
"From the obvious to the obscure" (???)
HA HA HA HA HA YEAH RIGHT!

not that anyone will really care but bodyrock is now on edge 102's new rock
thirty this week... number 30, but hey, at least people are voting to get
it on the countdown.
*gasp*
can it be?
moby fans in toronto aside from myself and jennafur?
dude... no way.
but when the DJs were talking about Moby they said play was better than
animal rights (in my opinion that's not true) and that moby has found his
nitch between fat boy slim and... the crystal method???!?!?!?!
hello?!?!?!?! does that make any sense???
wait... this is just part of the debate on the orbital list. it doesn't
belong here. but anyway, as i type this the two DJs were fighting about if
moby was making his music more appealing to the masses or if the masses
were starting to wake up realize moby rules... *shrugs* at least they're
talking about moby.
