okay im on this list of fans devoted to the show "Sifl & Ollly", and
were putting together a tribute cd, just like we did/are doing on this
here list!
so people are squabbling and squawking about all this "Is this legal?"
crap. since we have experience with this, can someone forward me
something to forward to the list, regarding like what we did with the
moby tribute cds and what to worry about and such?
of course, Sifl & Olly are on MTV, so they get more exposure than Moby
(on TV at least) so were more likely to get into hot water than with
teh Moby cd. thats funny tho, S&O has been on the air like a year or
so, and already their list has 660 people, while Mobys been makin music
like 10 yearss or so and we only have like 200.... i guess its just who
you know...
but S&O didnt get on overnight. Liam Lynch, the shows co-creator,
reportedly phoned MTV for years trying to get the damn thing on the
air...
anyway, we're also mass-mailing socks to MTV to get the show to stay on
the air.
go to <http://www.sockheads.com> and find it somewhere...
if anyone here has never seen S&O, it is the damn funniest show on the
air, i watch it more than the Simpsons. and if anyone here knows me,
that is a fucking endorsement. its on MTV at 7:30 PM weekdays, except
when they pre-empt it, which is all the time. but its on Mon. Tues. and
Wed. this week, so ROCK!
does the movie "GO" have to do with the Moby song?
okay bye now! ROCK!

Paul,
I saw the movie "GO". Basically a rip-off of "PULP FICTION" but it was
entertaining (let's call it a good rental).
Unfortunately "GO", the movie, has nothing to do with "GO" the single
from MOBY. They didn't even include HIS song in the movie. Which, BTW,
would have fit in well if they had.

I haven't heard it but I like LFO and I like Moby so it should be good!
Currently I'm listening to the Voodoo Child remix of "Heart On The Line"
by Fortran 5 a lot, wow what a great remix!
I think Moby should do some remixes for Faithless. They did a great job
remixing Moby's "revolver" and "honey" so I wonder how it would sound
if Moby did a remix for them....

Hey,
Just wanted to pop my head in and talk some shit, as
some would think of this.
YOU got this CD for FREE, if you were a real fan you
would just give it up instead of making a proft, for
just making a profit.
I have a copy and I would rather give my copy to some
one if I didnt want it. I got it for free and I know
that you also did.
It seems all wrong not only does the fan get FUCKED by
you but also Moby seems to suffer in this deal also,
unless by some off chance you were planing on sending
8% of your take on this.
I hardley doubt that.
I just did an operation with the F.B.I that is
shutting down a record store because of the owner
burning CDs which in turn burns artist.
What you are doing is WRONG!!!!!!!!
Burns dont hurt me.

Hey Brian,
I not mad at you because you flamed me -- but you've got to pay attention.
I did NOT get it for FREE. I mentioned I DID pay for it and WHAT I paid for
it. I am a huge Moby fan. In the past I've done first come, first serve --
that's not fair to a lot of people either. So, I thought I'd sell it to
another big fan. Either way, somebody's mad at me, so I don't think I'll be
doing it anymore.
Sorry guys,

Patience is a virtue ... either way, you're paying 10-15 dollars for
the CD when it comes out anyway. Who cares if he's selling it. No one
has to buy it if they don't want. It's a simple case of supply &
demand.
I'm sure if someone wanted him to copy it for them he would do it
minus the cost of the tape.

the video was really wierd, and the song was awesome.

I tried to listen to your stream but I don't even
know what a .asx file is, and my browser didn't either...
It doesn't say anywhere on your front page or about page
as to what kind of audio is being streamed, I'd like to
try it out! You have the same artist of the month as I
have chosen for Radio Free Underground so I know you must
have similar tastes. In fact I will be going to see
Underworld next week here in San Francisco.
I've heard several new Moby songs on the local commercial
radio station's electonic music show, all great- a bit more
hip hop flavored than usual, but not too much that it
doesn't still sound like Moby.
Many of you know me, but I've been very quiet lately-
however I'd like to hear from those of you who were
part of ftp v1.1 because ftp is active again but not for
long, I'd like to get in touch with anyone that has
live recordings of Moby.

good morning maybe,
so i have actually been working on songs and stuff for the thanks II comp if
it's still in the works. some of you might remember that i said i was going
to do hymn. and just maybe some of you remember STeveG saying something
like he heard a home brewn version of the drug fits the face a while back.
so i have two things for you to look at if you feel.
i did a version of hymn based off of moby live@the splash. guitar.
i added strings, and a beat.
maybe i'll end up redoing the guitars because i think the solo could be done
a little better. it aint bad IMO. i probably will rework it.
it is 'finished'.
http://members.tripod.com/~g0Dzinx/gu-hymn.mp3
2:26min, 112kbit (it sounds good)
http://members.tripod.com/~g0Dzinx/tdftf-0De.mp3
the drug fits the face (0De mix)
2:06min, 160kbit
this is the first song i started to work hard on for T2. it's about half
done maybe. if more then a couple of you think that i should keep working
on this, chances are that i will finish it. actually i've got a second
piece to it you can't hear because i made this mp3 before my latest work has
been done to the track. so it is probably around maybe 3-3:30min on my HD.
i just sort of am wondering what some others think about it.
if any of you do listen to this and wonder...
i have been playing guitar for maybe 3 years now and making music ever since
i got this computer half a year or so ago. wow. maybe it's been a year.
somewhere between the two.
you can download the mp3's from a descriptive
http://members.tripod.com/~g0Dzinx/hymn.htm
if the urls arent links on this mail.
thanks?
