ugh! just my fucking luck! I was at work last night and couldn't watch it!
Remembering it was on though I asked someone if they could tape it for me?
Nope didn't happen, they forgot. Considering they only air the program once
a month! I almost never get a chance to see it! And now this, the final
straw. They played moby, this is good to know considering I've never seeing
the video to begin with, grrrr! Now I most go kill soemone.
By the way who else did they air last night?
I have sent much e-mails and small petitions (mainly just the people I
know) to air the show more frequently but have only got back some "not
worth the effort" jargon in the past. Grrr!

Portishead-(two videos)
Autechere-(Don't remember)
Moby-(Honey)
Cassius-(Cassius 1999)
Stardust
Gus Gus-Believe
That is what I remember seeing, there may have been a few more.

no... only one portishead video. only you. amazing song. it lead off with
two massive attack videos. there was also a mouse on mars video and a few
others that sucked... there was also an interview with the two guys behind
cassius. i'll go watch my tape again later today and i'll post the play
list.

least). its annoying, only getting my electronic music fix once a month, or
maybe a little more often if i'm down in the states... blah! mobilty

see r u recieving on the air more often!!!! anyone want to help us??

The last time I saw a moby video was almost two years ago. It was a moby
spotlight on muchmusic which had the completely fucked up version of
"That's When I Reach for my Revolver" A funny video, yet due to some of the
lyrics, they changed all the words around. I still have it on tape
somewhere. It aired about a month after the north american release of AR.
*Interesting to note, the last time I went to the MuchMusic website, I saw
that the MuchUSA network did have a weekly Electronica show as a showcase
for the american states that get muchmusic. So the american version has one
and we don't, kinda leaves a sour taste in your mouth doesn't it. I am all
for getting as many people as we can to flood the muchmusic network to see
if we can get more airplay for RU Receiving. Which would in fact give more
airplay to moby, seeing as he is coming out with a new album and all, it
would be perfect timing.

i think its still cool that Volkswagen used Stereolab "Parsec" in one
of their ads. and on VH1 they had this RNR Jeopardy show (i swear i
was flipping channels, i NEVER watch VH1) and one of the answers was
like "this company ysed Stereolab, The Orb, and Spiritualized in
their ads to sell cars" and i was like, yeah, but do you ever lay them
on VH1?
whatever, in a perfect world, Stereolab and The Orb would be as big as
they are in England. and Moby, hed be bigger than Michael Jackson.
minus all the controversy of course. hey i said if it was a perfect

ARRGGG!!!! A SPOTLIGHT??? NOOOOO!!!
This *always* happens to me! I missed the nine inch nails spotlight as
well! *pout*. anyway, yeah, i heard about what happened with TWIRFMR...
didnt Mtv make him change the lyrics to "thats when i realize its all over"
or something. i have yet to see that.
RuR? has played two moby videos (that i know of). Go and James Bond Theme.
I have them both on tape. i notice that they also play a lot of
underworld videos... but oh no! that's offtopic!
okay. here's some addys for people to use to get in contact with much
music:
(the main website) http://www.muchmusic.com
(a general email address) muchmail@muchmusic.com
(spotlight) spot@muchmusic.com
(the r u receiving website. its basically one giant ad for their cd)
http://www.chumcity.com/muchmusic/ru/
(r u receiving email) rur@muchmusic.com
(much on demand, their request show) ondemand@muchmusic.com
okay. i think the best bet is to use muchmail@muchmusic.com first, to
request that RuR? get put on more often. then the other ones can be used
to say that HEY WE NEED MORE MOBY! okay people. have fun! peace.

That Liam Howlett Album came out 2 weeks ago. I am pretty sure that it doesn't
have any Moby. Actually, I think the big names were all shit, and besides for
the fact that I a made a promise never to buy another prodigy anything, (even
if it is only Liam this time) I can't give a review. And it is already been
dropped down to 1800 yen. Like 14.50 in America. Almost American Prices! But,
I can't do it. Anyway, at least the new Orbital single should be out today.... Later.

The Liam Howlett isn't remixes--it's a hip-hop style mix album with
snippets of a LOT of tracks (I think like 40 or so). Think the Coldcut
Journeys by DJ (which I have to say I always found overrated, though I'd
give it another chance if I ever get hold of one again) or a hip-hop mix
like Funkmaster Flex's. Apparently it's heavy on old-school hip-hop,
too. And no Moby that I'm aware of.
Matos
BTW: Anyone else on this list heard On the Floor at the Boutique--Mixed
by Fatboy Slim? The more I play it the more I think it's the best album
of the '90s. I'm dead serious. It's awe-inspiring.

As far as I know, no. _Play_ will only be a single CD. I'll let
y'all know if I find out otherwise. At least it will have 18 tracks,
so it ought to fill up one CD pretty good.

That's a good question, but not one that can be answered yet. Hopefully
they'll let us know by the time Run On comes out whether there will be a
2CD release. I would think so, considering that Mute has done so twice.
Also, Moby made 200 new songs, or had that many to choose from, so I
think (hope) that he'll put together another ambient / atmospheric disc
for us to mellow out to on Sunday evenings. Underwater & Little Idiot
were successful in what they attempted to accomplish, I think. Just
seeing the titles for the songs on Play has got my imagination up &
running, and I'm eager for more news from the powers that be.

It would be really great if there were a bonus disc with _Play_.
And maybe this time it should come out in the USA. This would be an
excellent opportunity to have a punny title. An album called _Play_
opens up a lot of possibilities!
Play / Outside
Play / Ground
Play / Nice
Play / Hard
Play / More
Play / Again
Play / Pause
Play / Ball
Play / Work
Play / ...what else? :)
