Well I've had both of my remixes waiting to be on Thanks 2 almost since
we thought of it.. so im anticipating its completion too.
Actually if anyone is interested in hearing it, i have it on my website,
even though my website is not 'officially' up (finished).

I remixed Myopia, well because I've always liked it..
Though its just the main two chords I focused on and then turned into something else.
The other one is Everything Is Wrong, just an ambient remix/cover/remake..
Its hard to call em remixes because I dont have a sampler, so there are no actual
moby samples.  Theyre more like my own versions/impressions of the tracks.
Well when Thanks2 comes along you'll get to hear it, hopefully..
Or if youre bored, ask me and I'll give you the address to my website.

that I haven't tried and might not work!  Yehaw!!!  Golly pop, can I have
some?!!!

1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
<or fake butter, margarine, or shortening?>
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground ginger
<not the former spice girl!>
1/2 cup molasses
1 teaspoon vinegar
<or fermented fish patties>
2 eggs, beaten
<I do not advocate violence, so you can substitute!>
5 cups flour, sifted
1 teaspoon soda
<what type of soda? Gingerale or Dr. Pepper?>

Mix sugar, butter, spices and molasses. Bring to a boil, stirring
constantly. Cool to lukeskywalker. Add vinegar and eggos. Mix well. Add
sifted flour and soda blending to a smooth doh! Chill, take a stroll
through your nearest grassy gnoll or watch the tap running. Roll out on
floured board <if you have a large enough surface> and cut with a 4 or 6
inch cookie cutter. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10
minutes, or farenheit 54...

 Many people couldn't swallow Animal Rights for a while after it
came out.

I loved it straight away.  In fact it was after hearing TWIRFMR live
that I decided to go out and buy some stuff of his.  It was also
through him that I got into dance/techno at all and it's still not my
favourite genre but Moby just does it better than anyone else in my
humble opinion and with total musicianship.

Self-destruction?  Never.

I was slightly disappointed with "Honey".  It's a catchy tune, but a little
bit too repetitious for me.  "Micronesia" and "Memory Gospel" however, are
fabulous in my humble opinion.  In fact, I think I'll stick that in for a
while--it's been some time.

Oh, and "Shining" is another song that's I like a whole lot.  It was worth
buying "Disk" for and going through all shit to get it working.

My friend Andrew once said that catchy is one step away from being evil.
it's almost there, but not quite.  He said that in reference to swing music
(ick) but I think I can make that work for the new fatboy slim album as
well...

Anyway, I picked up that cheap copy of moby/voodoo child's the end of
everything today. hehehe... what better way to say "i love you" than with
the gift of a beautiful (yet slightly used) cd.  (yes that was a rip off of
the "what better way to say i love you than with of a spatula from SPATULA
CITY!" heh... UHF was a cool movie!).

Another thing: I pulled out the feeling so real remixes and recorded the
everytime you touch me parts onto my computer... heh... this is fun.  too
bad i didn't find out about the remix competition until AFTER the due date.
 Did anyone here submit a remix to competition?  just wundering...

Hmm, if it looks like an attack and feels like an attack... maybe it is?
And that's how I'm taking it.  So let's get this straight.

I try to "regulate" this list in the least offensive and least intrusive
way that I can.  I normally wait for one or several people who complain
before I step in.  Why?  Because I want the list to regulate itself and
I think we're all adult enough to do it.

Now imagine the warm and funny feeling I get inside when someone makes a
complaint and mocks me in the process.  I don't know if you said this
because of the critique I gave you regarding the double postings or if
it was a non provoked attack simply because people were talking about
shoes.  Either way it doesn't look good to me.

And it also seems to me that you still need to fix your problem with
sending double posts.  Please do it quickly because I'm somehow in a
great mood to unsub members.  Thanks!

oh yea, like my shoes, which i got for ten bucks (or maybe my
parents...i dont give a shit a bbout clothes. as long as im wearing
them, i dont care what im wearing...)

anyway, i got AMBIENT yesterday. music box had a clearence sale. they
also had 2 copies of EU which i dont yet have, so ill get 1 later. i
have most of EU on tape, but not all, so you know, and ive never heard
anything from AMBIENT before, save for real audio samples on cdnow, so
i got it. pretty cool. not among his best (duh...its not supposed to
be) but cool nonetheless.

question:inside the ambient cd, it says that the songs are moby's
personal pick. thats bullshit right? i mean i thought they issued this
without his permission?

anyway, i love bad days (gotta love those backward beats) and sound,
even tho they are not much more than just one loop, tweaked over 2
minutes or so. some of the stuph sounds real cheep, like he took a
casio and recorded the flute sound off it. but its kinda fun in that
way.

oh yes. they also had about 5 copies of that blur remix cd, with the
exclusive moby remix. its limited edition. if you dont have it, you
might wanna get it, it aint gonna be around forever, like kmfdm (sob
sob.) only $13, which is supa-dupa cheep  for a DOUBLE IMPOTRT CD.

oh yes, i also found the new MICKEY HART PLANET DRUM cd, _Supra
lingua_, which comes with a bonus disc of remixes by MEAT BEAT
MANIFESTO, PLASTIKMAN (i already informed kelbert...;), LOOP GURU (i
heard the LG one on WPKN...my mom was in the car, i told her it was
the drummer from the Dead, she said, well i think i like this better
than the Dead...she cant stand the Dead...), aand THE EYE. and oh yes,
that song they played on AMP a few weeks ago, thats on this cd too.

also, i found some cool shit at the goodwill store. a bunch of cd
compilations that were 99 cents each! the best was a KNITTING FACTORY
comp with stuff like Hasidic New Wave, DJ SPOOKY VS. DJ SOULSLINGER
(ultraphat), Elliott sharp (a drum n bass track from him...cool, i
thought he only did weird prog-art stuff)
and LEE RANALDO from sonic youth, plus some crazy jazz shit. i mean
that in a good way.

plus i found an ELEKTRA compilation, with not Moby, but the SUGARCUBES
(woo hoo! bjork rules) and the PIXIES, and FLIPMODE SQUAD (not as
fucked up or as good as regular BUSTA, but phat still) and VAST etc.
etc....

and also a WICKLOW sampler, with some bill laswell stuff. i dont like
it that much tho.

and oh yes, some cd called CMJ CERTAIN DAMAGE VOLUME 99, and it was a
DOUBLE DISC!!!!!
there was some phat shit like NEWW RADICALS, and THE ROOTS
(awesome...) etc.

uhhhhhhhh.....

oh yes, on the electro circus last night, they  DIDNT PLAY MOBY!!!!!!
SURPRISE!

but they did play a phat bootleg (i think) jungle tune, which sampled
"Ready or Not" by the Fugees. wwwwoooooowwwwww.......
it probably doesnt count as a remix, its like it samples the melody (i
would hum it to the list if i coud...) which works GREAT for a jungle
tune, plus Lauryn Hill's chorus (ready or not...here i come...you cant
hide...gonna find you...and take it slowly...) which, paired wwith the
aforementioned melody and the deeeeeeep bass and the hard breaks,
makes for one fucking sinister track. plus a sample that goes "when i
raise my trigga finga all ya (bleep)s hit the deck".

well anyway i think anyone who receives a mix tape from me will be
hearing this tune.....

anyone know what/who it is?
it was on scratchcratchratchatchy vinyl. that was its only flaw, its
snap-crackle-pop. it was probably made 2 years ago, white label, now
out of print, totally forgotten by everyone in the world.

god, now how much did i talk about moby here?
