Hello everyone!
Well I don't know if this is old news to some of you or new news but anyways
here it is...there is a group by the name of OMD (the Orchestral Maneuvers in
the Dark) has a new single out with old songs remixes. So who other than Moby
to remix one of their songs and it is just so smooth....the song is Souvenir.
(the enola gay remix is pretty good too) So if there are any of out there who
like OMD as well as MOBY of course... I recommend it.

damn girl!
souvenir was always my all-time favorite omd song.......
and that's choosing from amongst a huge bunch of really great stuff
they did
AND as they were probably the ultimate 80's synth-romance band
even edging out the human league, heaven 17, soft cell,
new order, durnag durang..........and on.......
i fucking cried when they played it (souvenir....[their spelling])
live
back around 83 (?)
and i thought they never would play it because i always thought a
guest female vocalist sang it and
up walked paul humphreys
to do the vocals!!!!!!!!!!!!
everybody just about died>>>>>>>>>>>>>
moby doing a remix of souvenir
is not news......... sugar
it's all the news.......
thanks!

I am sending this slightly edited text to the list to help those who
might have questions about subscribing and unsubscribing. It also
points out the focus of this list among other things. I figure it's
good to send this out two or three times a year. If you find any
problems, please point them out to me. Hopefully in the next month or
two I will be rebuilding my highly outdated web site and planning a
small giveaway. Thanks to everyone for your help and patience. =)

Mailing List INFORMATION TEXT
*** Mailing List Formed in October 1996 ***
Administered by: 'Damian' (damian@xmission.com)
(owner-mobility@lists.xmission.com)
Mobility: The unofficial Moby mailing list! This list discusses the
aspects, rumors, and issues of the music artist Moby. It also discusses
his pseudonyms (i.e., Lopez, Voodoo Child, etc.) and the music of his
record label Trophy.
Please keep this file for reference, as it contains valuable information
on the details of the subscription, in particular how to send commands
to deal with unsubscriptions.
If you ever need to retrieve another copy of this message, email
majordomo@xmission.com with the command "info mobility" in the body
of the message.
HOW TO SUBSCRIBE AND UNSUBSCRIBE
- --------------------------------
To join "mobility," send email to majordomo@xmission.com with the command
"subscribe mobility" (without quotes) in the body of the message. You
will receive a confirmation message and a copy of this information file.
Once you are subscribed, you will receive each message as it is posted to
the list.
A digest version of "mobility" is also available. If you subscribe to the
digest you will receive groups of postings in a single email message
instead of one at a time. These "digests" are sent out whenever there is
a certain amount of text in the queue. It is usually best to try the
regular version of the list first and then switch to the digest if you are
getting more mail from the regular version that you can deal with
comfortably. To subscribe to the digest, send the command "subscribe
mobility-digest" to majordomo@xmission.com (again, with no quotes) in the
body of the message.
** Once subscribed, send your email to mobility@lists.xmission.com **
To leave the list, send email to majordomo@xmission.com with the command
"unsubscribe mobility" or "unsubscribe mobility-digest" (as appropriate)
in the body of the message. If you have trouble unsubscribing, send email
describing the problem in detail (what commands you sent, what you got
back if anything, etc.) to owner-mobility@lists.xmission.com
CHANGING FROM BOUNCE MODE TO DIGEST MODE
- ----------------------------------------
Should you wish to receive a digest, send a message to
majordomo@xmission.com and in the body of the message type
"unsubscribe mobility" on the first line, and then type
"subscribe mobility-digest" on the next line.
Remember: problems with your subscription should be reported
to owner-mobility@lists.xmission.com, not to the list itself.
THE GOLDEN RULES
- ----------------
1. Please keep the discussion on the list confined to that revolving
around Moby, his record label Trophy, and the pseudonyms thereof. For
example, while Puff Daddy may be a great artist to some, most members of
the list don't really care since it's not related to Moby.
2. Please keep in mind basic netiquette when making postings to the list.
When replying to a message, try to quote only the sections of the original
message that are relevant to reply and EDIT the rest. Avoid using
excessively long signatures -- while they may look fancy remember that
people will see them on your every posting and will start to looked tired
real quick (four lines is a good size).
3. Try to keep messages relevant to the list's topic (no general
advertisements, "warnings" about viruses, chain letters, and so forth).
The list manager has final say on whether a topic is welcome on the list;
please do your best to follow his guidance.
4. The messages you send are going out to hundreds of other people.
Please think twice before posting flames or extremely large messages to
the list. You should *never* send graphics or audio files to the list
- -- doing so may result in your subscription being canceled.
5. When posting to the list, make sure you are using the same address
that you subscribed with!!! Any address submitted to the mailing list
that is unrecognized will be returned to the sender and will not be seen
by the list members, no exceptions.

and, i got the new spin today. yeah i know...my dad got the
subscription anyway. i never would pay for this shit, but my dad is so

theres a review for honey:
MOBY, "Honey"
(Mute UK)
After finally purging his ax-wielding "bad Moby" persona [what????],
pop music's enigmatic "little idiot" somehow merges all of his
conflicted concerns-both spiritual and musical-with effortless grace
(all in one song). A gospel-blues vocal chants over live rock drums
[really? sounds like a drum machine to me...], breakbeats, hand claps,
piano, vinyl scratches, and slide/wah wah guitars, as synthesized
strings well the drama. Like Steve Reich witha born again hump in his
back [HAH! i love injokes]. Available in the U.s. on the _permanent
Midnight_ soundtrack.
(picture of moby, same one used in november 1997 CMJ NMM, with the
review for ILTS. Moby wearing black shirt, black open jacket with no
shirt under, sneakers, and black sunglasses, kind of crouching into
the camera, sitting on some kind of bench, on what looks like a museum
or something, in front of what looks like some picture of the sea
painted on the wall behind him, and theres a pink carpet. caption
reads "sneaker pimp [ha...]: Techno bad boy Moby struggles with his
shoelaces." his shoes are untied.
id like to talk more, but my sisters are acting like fucking idiots.
gotta go. bye.
in short, a good review, i think. but who really can tell.

Easy CD allows some primitive ability to combine songs, edit, cut and =
