Cb's is cool if you can find a good band there, but if not just good
for history.  First of all you must find a copy of the village voice.
Its usually found at news stands, but if you have no luck there check
at the virgin megga store on 42nd street across from MTV. That will
give you all the club listings and going ons for the next two weeks.
Also check out St. Marks place down in the village. Have a blast, and
a great holiday.

i read about a website called flawed <http://www.flawed.com> in cmj a
while ago

its an online dictionary where you submit a word and you can create a
page about it.

i typed in "moby" and alas, alack, there is no paage devoted to the
word "moby"

so does anyone want to create a moby page for flawed? As well as any
other cool words? it doesnt have to be just a word, it can be a name.
there are pages devoted to names.

first come first serve i guess!

As I sit here in my room typing out some email, i'm listening to
The End of Everything.  Oh my gawd.  I'm in love.  Right
from the beginning of Dog Heaven, I've had this
feeling come over me, that EOE is going to be right up there with
Everything is Wrong and Pretty Hate Machine as a CD that almost
never leaves my CD player... hehe :)

So my question to the list is,
what are all YOUR cds that recieve heavy rotation in your personal
stereo?  Are any of them Moby related?  Hmm?

You gotta luv Christmas Eve traditions...
In my family we watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
and then exchange a small gift.
This year, I got the gift of Moby :)

A little birdie told me that the EIW remix is waiting for me under
the tree.  I can't wait to hear that.

Okay, I'm off to exchange presents with a few friends, and I think
I'll have to bring EOE to listen to for the drive down there. hehehe...

hmm.. it depends on what mood i'm in.  right now i'm in my soft rock,
free rhyme verse stuff and am listening to ani difranco.  so, her stuff
is in heavy rotation right now.  after her is moby, which i'm always in
the mood for.  <G>  then i get in my pearl jam phase, and when i want to
listen to heavier stuff i stick my nin in.  and then every once and a
while i stick really old cd's in that i haven't heard in a while and
flash back to when i played them a lot.

it's amazing how much my cd collection has grown.  i first got a cd
player in 6th grade for x-mas, a one disk one.  the two cd's i got with
that were pearl jam's ten and TLC (i was in a weird phase).  that yr was
funny because i had gotten the same TLC cd in the mail from my uncle and
when we went to my dad's cousin's house for x-mas, i got the same pj
cd.  my dad had told them that i liked either one and didn't mention
that they were getting both for me.  so, i gave the TLC cd to a friend.
i thanked my uncle for it and never mentioned that i already had it.  my
dad's cousin exchanged the cd for the singles soundtrack, which has pj
on it.  so, i started out with 3 cd's and am now close to 200.  i don't
have the TLC one anymore.. it became a frisbee.  i still have the pj
one, naturally, and the singles one.  sorry.. just reminiscing.  it's
amazing what triggers memories.  this was about 6 yrs ago, too.

kelbert, you will be happy with the EIW remixed cd... i love it.

right now, radiohead is in pretty good rotation along with space and garbage.
of course mobys always thrown in here and there, especially ambient and EOE.
my christmas eve, and my birthday, by the way, was spent watching b-movies
with my cousins.

Lets see, I keep playing the song "somebody" from Depeche Mode
the Deep Forest albums Comparsa, and Boheme
DMX's new album "flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood"
Aphex Twin: selected ambient works volumes 1 & 2

As far as Moby goes,
I've been playing EOE(mostly when I go to sleep),animal rights, and I
play gmotfotw constantly. bye!

rotation is a bit unheard of with me, so ill give you whats in there
now. Fatboy Slim youve come a long way baby, Depeche Mode collective

Subject: (mobility) Heavy Rotation

Patient Love from End Of Everything is quite possibly my favorite Moby song. It would be either that or one of the Voodoo Child mixes with Slight Return in it. I was listening to the Expanded mix last night, which is absolutely gorgeous. Instinct has made some very poor re-release choices. Early Underground and Rare both lack the best 12" mixes.  When I'm in my garage (the smoking room), where my turntables reside, I've been listening to the Discotheque 3x12", all 3 Voodoo Child 12"s, Voodoo Ray by A Guy Called Gerald, and Moby's Electro mix of Miserablism by the Pet Shop Boys, among numerous others. Upstairs, on CD, I've been listening to a big heap of U2 CDs, Instinct Dance, which I got yesterday, and the Permanent Midnight soundtrack. I can't get enough of the Gomez song on there.
