I'm also having problems tracking down 'Underwater'. I've been looking off
and on for two years.
btw: MY POST FROM YESTERDAY WAS NOT TO BITCH ABOUT THE LIST, IT WAS TO BITCH
ABOUT SOMEONE'S INDIRECT WAY OF EXPRESSING ANNOYANCE. i.e. using an analogy
of a 'smelly, homeless person' to take a stab at someone on the list. the
reason I indirectly bitched was because I don't recall who the original
individual was who posted that statement. ok: I hope that clears that once
and for all. moving right along...
are there any more Moby chats scheduled anytime soon?

Subjectively I can see why the atmosphere (clubs) might make vinyl better,
but Objectively there is nothing to indicate that vinyl is technically
better.

How could I be hurt? Its not like I am the inventor or defender of

I just flipped to the Cartoon Network(whooo!) and Moby was a guest on
Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Appearing with him were Emo(the comic) and
Shirley Manson(lead singer to Garbage). Space Ghost ended up "eating"
Moby(it turned out to be a dream) Anyway, I'm sure that they will replay
it in a couple of hours if anyone is interested.

Boy do I feel left out. Thanks for including me in that list. 2 people who
have been here for a week and one that has been here I don't know how long but
has yet to make a relevant or worth reading post. I guess even though I have
been here for 9 months, I should stop changing my adress, because I know there
is too many emails I didn't get. Anyway;
What i wanted to mention and get someone's opinion of was this very unusual
and very illegal thing they have got going on here in Japan. Everyone has
Video Rental Stores, but here they also rent CDs, more so than Videos. And not
just Japanese, but everything. And if you all are saying, yea I'm cool, I have
got an MD player, well everoyne here has had them for years, and in the CD
Rental Shops they sell thousands of blank tapes, MDs, and even CDs. The
government doesn't care, and they actualy rank the singles in JApan by the
following three categories:
Volume of Sales, Volume of Rentals, and Karaoke. So, all of you bitching about
MP3s better not come over this way. What do you think about that. OH yea, it
costs about 1/3 the price to rent a CD as it does to buy it. At least he
singles, I don't know about the full ablums. Later.

i dont post often, but just wanted to make a quick comment on this. the
library does a similar thing with vidoes and cds, only you dont pay for
them. i dont understand how the cd thing is actually legal? sorry, i know
this is super off topic, but i guess it has to do with morals which leads
back to moby....

where are you at in Japan? I ask because my girlfriend and I are moving
there next year (she was born there). I'm going to teach english. I like to
hear different people's japan experiences. I've been there twice, each time
for two months and had a great time [95% of the time anyway : {)> ] I have
to say that the japanese (for the most part) have an interesting taste in
music. can't say I always understand it tho.

I'm very disapointed in you all. My computer has been in the shop for the
past few days, and when I got it back I expected to find a whole pile of
digests waiting for me. *sigh* Instead there were TWO. Just two! What
happened to everyone?? Oh wait... the thansgiving thingy... silly
americans. Okay nevermind.
Anyway, a few mobyish things that I need to get off my chest:
1. Giving the Gift of Moby:
Okay so one of my best friends doesnt' have a CLUE who moby is. I want to
change that. When I buy him a gift this christmas I'm going to give him a
Moby cd *evil grin*. Any suggestions about which one? Anyone have some
positive first time moby experiences that they care to share? I'm thinking
EIW, but maybe someone else has a suggestion?
2. Come on Baby remix:
The only reason I bought the single was for the whip it death metal trak.
hehehe I think the single sorta sucks, but its all worth while at the very
end of one of the live traks you can hear moby say "thank you very much my
name's moby!!!" that makes it all worth while :)
3. Off topic posts:
So some people don't like the fact some of us want to get to know each
other better. Hmm... I keep recieving "get to know you" emails and some of
the questions are pretty intersting. So if anyone wants a copy of mine
(and is willing to fill one out for themselves) email me
(bergstrom@globalserve.net)
4. mobility IRC chats:
#3 turned out to be non-moby. whoops. Anyway, does anyone actually go to
those IRC chats I remember reading about someplace? I need to know if its
worth me re-downloading irc or not. anyone? Do they even exist?? hmm???
It's three o'clock and its time to shop! Oh wait... that's not it. its
8:30 and im feeling sick so this is the end of this email. I hope i didn't
piss too many people off this time. *sigh*

The american folk/pop singer "discovered" by actor Sean Penn. Moby calls her
his one real celebrity friend. Though, they carry on their relationship
primarily via fax machine. So there's little chance of impregnation there.
But, Zounds! What mounds. Between Moby's bald head and Jewel's breasts,
there's enough bulbous flesh to arouse anybody.

Anyway, I am not writing about Moby at all except to sa that I had no idea he
was friends with Jewel. Oh yea, and I would recomend getting I Like to Score
for someone who has never heard Moby and probably is not into any of that
related kind of music. It is the most public friendly, so I think it is a good
start. Now, most of you can stop reading or don't complain.
I am living in Tokyo. Nakameguro, 2 stops from Shibuya. Rollerblading distance
to about anything worthwhile, although the Japanese people don't seem to like
my rollerblades. Anyway, Clay and Andrew, where were you guys and if you will
be an English teacher, you will fit right in with the rest of the gaijin, as
stripping and teching English are the 2 main jobs for them. And Japan is
awesome, I would love to live here, but the people don't make enough money and
work too hard and everything is too expensive. But it is awesome. I don't play
video games much, but I am aboutt o go buy that new Sega that doesn't even
come out in America till next Christmas. Oh yea, and I kind of like the
Japanese music, even though it is all popish and most of it copies either what
is popular in America now, or what used to be popular that they just steal.
And Clay, are you part or all Japanese and I assume you speak the language,
right? Anyway, I wasted enough space rambling, Later.
