Dear People who have Moby's e-mail.....whether it is him or not, I would
advise you not to write/harrass him.....imagine getting hundreds of annoying
little e-mails from people you don't know.....I wouldn't want that, even
though AOL tends to do that with all the little pornies I get via e-mail....I
just feel it would be an invasion of his privacy.....anad if you respect him
as a person as well as a muscian, please don't bother him.....thanks

actually, the VW Bug commercial uses a song "called little fluffy clouds"
which i think is by orbital. (not sure though...i have a cd that has that song
on it, although a less "dancey" version)
and concerning a volume 2 of "movie music", i think it will be a while before
moby releases another album with that concept. besides, he has to write more
music for movies and tv and such before he can release one...i just can't wait
to hear this next album later this year!!!

here's what i've heard:
VW: crystal method "high roller"
fluke "absurd"
orb "little fluffy clouds"
some car ad: aphex twin "girl/boy"
some make up ad: death in vegas "dirt"
and fatboy slim is in something too.
wipeout xl for playstation was all done by some very big names like FSOL
and prodigy.
moby was ripped off in the first level of the original "doom." i think
it was "electricity."
trent reznor did the entire music for "quake," but i dunno about "Q2"
since my computer is shit.
that's all i've heard as of late...

I'd like to see him online again though!!!

Oh come on everybody, quit giving this person the satisfaction. Read this

that's a little suspicious. Also, have you every seen Orbital63 post to

so you're saying that the vocalists who sing on many of moby's albums and=
in many of his songs, to include kotchie banton and rozz morehead, both =
of whom sang on 'everything is wrong', have no talent what so ever? you =
stated that you think that most of the vocalists he features are awful, =
and that the vocals in 'everything is wrong' nearly 'spoil' the song. =
i would have to totally disagree with you. i love the sonng, and in my =
opinion the vocals add energy, passion, and feeling to the music. -there=
's no denying the fact that some people in this world cannot sing- those =
featured on many of moby's albums however are not those 'some people'. =
let's take mimi goese for example. mimi did the vocals for 'into the =
blue' and 'when it's cold i'd like to die', both off of 'everything is =
wrong'. these are two of the most passionate, beautiful pieces of music=
i've ever heard in my life, and mimi is the cause of this. without her =
singing, these songs would not be what they are. her voice makes the son=
gs.

could it be that you just aren't particularly into a certain style of mus=
ic? there seems to be a pattern present in the song's that you don't enj=
oy. they are all faster paced tunes, with sample vocals, or actual singe=
rs. it's hard to ignore the fact that the human vioce was the first inst=
rument known to mankind. people have been singing since the dawn of time=
practically- computers, mixers, voice-changers etc. just take these voic=
es to a new level. it is interesting to see what can be done to and with=
the human voice, but at the base of music there will always be that init=
ial vocal conception. without such vocal interludes, songs like 'everyth=
ing is wrong' and 'next to the e' would be totally boring and uninteresti=
ng to listen to. they would be totally on one level and monotonous and =
bland. vocals are a key feature present in a lot of moby's music, and =
i think that he does a wonderful job of incorporating them. i find nothi=
ng cheesy or overdone about any of the above mentioned song vocals. i =
guess it all comes down to personal opinion and musical taste. if you =
don't like it, don't listen to it, but realize that there must be some =
talent involved in it's production. no offense intended - later---

I agree with most of what you said except for what you said about songs
being bland w/out vocals. I know lots of wonderful songs w/out vocals. I
know even more crappy songs w/ vocals.

There are way too many techno songs in ads today. Remember a couple months
back the Coca-Cola comm. with the hockey mood set to the red light of the
goal?? Pure crap. Even the local Chicago Fox News (THE WORST NEWS OF ALL
TIME, IT'S SO BAD I THINK EVERY STORY IS FAKE) has Fatboy Slim and Chemical
Bros music in their promo's. I mentioned about Moby's music used in NBA games
on NBC. I will be watching the playoffs this year just to see how many Moby
songs they will use this year. Look at soundtracks in general, total increase
of techno. Why?? Because it's "hot" therefore bigwigs transmit that as
money. If I started listing the soundtracks that contain techno music this
post will never end. I'm gonna stop before I hurt myself.
