hymn (any other singles than alt.quiet.version)
everything is wrong remixed 2cd.

on it? (up here in canaduh-anything is an import)
anyone have a favorite cd so far for 1998?
non-moby, i know, but i always look back every six months or so...
mine-madonna 'ray of light' or the new lisa gerrard & pieter bourke cd (see

I found a CD with a beatiful "ballad".. (well eh..) on it called "Lost
Again"
Very ambient and cool tune that I immediately fell totally for.
The rest of the CD contains much different "old" ambient to trance & prog
house.
Artists included are:
Cosmic Baby, Westbam, Jam&Spoon, The Grid, The Orb + more.
Track with Moby :
13 06:05 Moby Lost Again

THANKS A MILLION TIMES TO G. WALKER FOR GETTING ME THAT MOVE CD!!!! I
GOT IT IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY AND ITS AWESOME!!!!
Though it is kind of weird hearing some of the trax (ATINITBL, Move,
Unloved) after hearing different versions. like Move and Unloved form
the Thanks cd, and ATINITBL form EIW, the songs on Move kinda sound
like remixes or something, but of course they are the originals. i
don't know, it's a really good cd, worth my $11, and a good use of
31:47 :)

Hey - try shopping online, unless you're more interested in the "thrill
of the hunt".... Dan C.'s Moby page, http://www.moby.org, has a great
list of resources... I was looking at the GEMM (no points or gold stars
for mentioning this) page yesterday and noticed several listings for
both of the CDs you're interested in...

I belive that only a clip of this video is included on "Disk" - as to
finding it... try Andy's suggestion...
The following is a promo release from Mute concerning the Hymn Video
(s)...
*********************************************************************************
The video was directed by Walter Stern in London, and also features
footage that Moby directed himself. The theme of the video is one of
Moby being lost in purgatory. He is trapped in a crate which flies
through space on a chain. The chain then snaps, sending the crate
hurtling down to land in a world full of bizarre angel-devils. They
approach Moby, who attacks them back. He is trapped inside a large
aviary with the creatures, and cannot escape. However, it all turns out
to be a horrible dream, and he is safe back in his crate! Moby's own
footage is projected onto his body whilst he is in the crate, and it
shows him in New York, thus creating an impression of his memories.
The bulk of the video was shot in one day in a studio, whilst Moby shot
his footage in New York over several days. His footage shows him
underwater in an embryonic sate, moving in time-stop motion throughout
spaces and kissing a beautiful girl. The end result is a slowly-paced,
ethereal video which shows Moby as a tortured and trapped being who
cannot escape from oppressive situations. Only his memories give him
freedom.
**********************************************************************************
perhaps the 2 videos I am speaking of are actually just one... for some
reason I thought that they were separate...who knows...

Subject: (mobility) Disc Hunting & Moby Bulletin Board
Regarding the thrill of the hunt, I love it. I will break down and
by the 2cd sets for EIW and AR online, because I simply must have them, but
for the most part I like being surprised by the selection wherever I go. I
saw Feeling So Real (UK) last night, the flourescent green one with blue
lettering, but I passed as I can get the whole shebang for five bucks on the
US version instead of paying 7.99 for each half. Tower in Schaumburg, IL is
revamping their imports, and the FSR had just come in and was sitting on top
of a pile. The rest of them were in a stack on the floor! Near a register.
They were Move, ITB 1&2, Go (Analog/Woodtick/ Rainforest). Nothing I need. I
wish I'd bought that Come On Baby before is disappeared. The Moby selection
is getting lame there. I can still get Ambient & Disk, though. And ETYTM.
There is a Moby bulletin board at iMusic.com. Just punch in Moby on search
engine on the front page and select Moby Bulletin Board from the Moby menu.
Hope to see you there! Here, this is easier:
http://www.imusic.com/cgi-bin/bbs/bbs.cgi?x=moby
<http://www.imusic.com/cgi-bin/bbs/bbs.cgi?x=moby>
You can put just about any group/person's name where Moby's is for that
bulletin board, use all lowercase letters, no spaces. Examples:
.../bbs.cgi?x=aphextwin
.../bbs.cgi?x=joshwink
See ya! -Steve Giles

Subject: (mobility) Surge Studio
I was greeted by a surprise in the mail today: the "Surge Studio"
promo, addressed to my little brother! He has no idea how he got on
their mailing list, and has given this rare Moby collectible to me! :)
Surge is that fairly new cola in the green can. I haven't broken
the shrinkwrap yet, but it looks like there's a small booklet and
at least one CD inside. I say "at least one" because on the front
it says "Copy A [Keep it for yourself]". A silver sticker on the
outside of the shrinkwrap bears the number 72438-19862-2-6 and lists
the tracks:
1. Fatboy Slim Going Out Of My Head
2. Supergrass Sun Hits The Sky
3. Fluke Absurd
4. Third Eye Blind Narcolepsy
5. The Dandy Warhols Cool As Kim Deal
6. David Bowie I'm Afraid Of Americans
7. Moby Ah-Ah
What an unexpected surprise.

I saw something interesting yesterday, too. I saw a promo CD at the
music store for like, 3 bucks or something, for what I think was July '93,
and Moby was on it. It had the Feeling So Real Old Skool. (that's how it is
listed, isn't it also supposed to have mix or dub after skool?)
