  59. i'm sorry, but around here, bestbuy just increased their prices.  they are
  60. no longer a competitive store around here as far as i'm concerned.  their
  61. CDs are in the 14-15$ range now, and that's crap.  there's no excuse for
  62. that kind of price.  there's a small chain of stores here called the
  63. Exclusive Company - 6, maybe 7 stores.  rarely do they charge more than
  64. 13$ for a new CD, most are 12$.  the lowest price for a normal full-length
  65. album is 9$.  CD singles are between 5 and 6$ (domestic).  for a while
  66. there import singles went up to 10$ but i think they're back down to
  67. 9$.  bestbuy is _not_ a great store...  exclusive isn't exactly independent,
  68. but it's not a huge chain, and it's one of the best stores i know.  they
  69. don't get everything, but they'll order it if it's still in print.

  78. strangest thing...  media play is another fairly large chain, but one
  79. day i bought the brian eno instrumental boxed set and FAX - alien
  80. community and the girl at the checkout was mad at me cos she was saving
  81. up for the brian eno!  she asked me what i thought of some of the other
  82. FAX.  _totally_cool_, and at a chain...
  83. it's rare, but sometimes you _can_ find people with decent tastes in
  84. music at a chain store.  i wouldn't even put it past best buy.  it all
  85. depends on the people in your area.  sadly, i doubt there are many
  86. people in my area that listen to moby, ambient stuff, etc., but oh well.

  126. Anyways..my post...I've decided to start poking around certain Usenet
  127. groups..I did find alt.music.moby...Now I 'm wondering(I figure there's
  128. gotta be a least one person on this list who's sub'ed to the group)..Is it
  129. worth subbing to the group..Is there enough traffic that's different from
  130. what's on the list?  Also...I'd like to stay away from alt.music.techno..but

  343. that used to be 10 or 11 bucks their would now cost me 15 or 16 dollars.
  344. When I bought AR there, it cost me something like 10 dollars. Now, it's
  345. probably about 14 at least. The '...Revolver'  single was $4.99 for me.'E
  346. of E' was only $12 though. I almost always go to Circuit City first,
  347. because they usually have the lowest prices. If I can't find something
  348. there, then it's off to Best Buy. The last place I'll go is Musicland. An
  349. average cd there is $17 at least. That's my 2 cents into the fountain!

  454. k-  i don't think the picture is bad or offensive in any way. it in no =
  455. way changes my opinions on moby himself.  i have a picture of him from =
  456. details magazine from like 5 years ago in nothing but these skimpy underw=

  516. As far as the connection between Moby and RHCP go, he thanks them in
  517. Animal Rights.  For what, I don't know for sure, but I would guess that
  518. they had something to do with the album itself.  Others that he thanked
  519. in that album are: Scott Litt (REM producer), Billy Corgan, Perry
  520. Farrell, and amazingly enough - scooter!  And of course, Jesus Christ.

  565. Mix), Into the Blue (Uplifting 4 Beat Mix) remixed by DJ Seduction, and

  585. Yes.  Moby toured Europe with RHCP in late 1996, after the UK release
  586. of Animal Rights.  At a performance in Germany, he got naked onstage,
  587. and some/all of RHCP followed suit.

  589. BTW, glancing through a vocabulary builder book the other day, I read
  590. that the suffix "-y" means "inclined to/tends to", and the prefix
  591. "mob-" means "move".  So Moby is inclined to move. :)
