listen to that for days nonstop by choice anyway.
just a funny note. someone quoted buhdda "work out
your own salvation". i think paul said that in the
bible as well...
moby has an incredibly open minded christianity. the
question is not is that wrong or right christianity
but is it christianity? i dont question moby, that's
his job. moby makes me question myself.

i just listened to a clip of "unloved Symphony" among others on my
BRAND SPANKIN NEW REAL AUDIO PLAYER!!! (well, I've only been online
for a few months...) god that song is amazing!!! can't wait to hear
the whole thing. Ranks up there with every goldie song i ever heard
and "This Is Los Angeles" by Lemon d. and the d'n'b remix of "Cover
Me" by Bjork. I should start listening to more jungle music, dat
shit's awesome.
I know this is offtopic, but does anyone know where i can hear
realaudio clips of Aphex's S.A.W. 85-92 vol. 1? I found clips from
vol. 2, and theyre nice ambient tunes, but i think i heard a clip or 2
from vol. 1 on my local noncommercial radio station WPKN, and it's
awesome. I know where to find the album cheap (well, $22), but I just
want to hear more. Also, does anyone know where to find the cd for
less than $22? I guess you could find it cheaper in Europe,
but...whatever...e-mail me offlist.
I also listened to clips from End of Everything. It's nice, kind of
sounds like Aphex Twin. Definitely a lot more interesting than the
clips from S.A.W. 2 i heard.
Andy, did you get my $$$ for the comp yet? I KNOW I sent it in...I

Hmmmmm...anything else to say? Guess i Don't have anything else to

Finally I got through February up to the 22nd.
I don't get cable TV so I can't watch Mtv...I am not cool like that. I've
never heard anything by this Daddy person or most of the other artist we have
been arguing about. Plus I hate to listen to the radio. I am out of the loop
as far as mainstream stuff is concerned. Some one make me a tape of all these
people we hate to talk about and listen to and I will let you know what I
think ok?
My first question is "hey Scott, why do you love carrots?" Am I the only one
who has wondered about this?
also to Quote Scott "I had an interview with Moby way back in 1993 in Grand
Rapids, MI (where Iwent to college...Calvin)" .....Wow that is so cool! What
was he doing in Grand Rapids anyway? Speaking of that fine city...is there
anyone on this list from Grand Rapids? Or Michigan for that matter? I joined
this list because no one I knew had even heard of or liked Moby, so I was
searching for some people who liked his music as much as I did. It's nice to
know you are all out there! HI.
I too would like to hear Moby do a re-mix of Inspector Gadget.
Also....I have been going through this 80's phase as far as music goes....I
used to LOVE OMD (not OMC ack!), actually I've got The Pixies in the tape
player of my car right now. I would like to hear Moby remix OMD or the Pixies!
What do you think?

just wondering....
any reason why the u.s. elektra copy of 'end of everything' contains
'reject' (which figures on little idiot-animal rights 2cd) and the u.k. (?)
copy of e of e has another track in it's place?
also, any clue where i might be able to find those sought after moby hymn
singles? i only know of alt.quiet.version and album version.... i am trying
to round out my collection (picked up revolver ep-the rollo & sister bliss
is bliss, and come on baby cd5) and trying to find any of the hymn singles.
found three into the blue singles, this would make the total number of i
the b mixes i found to 15 so far (not incl. album version). with so many
mixes of this song, anyone have a fave? mine would be the voodoo child mix
(so far)....
also, i am peaks freak, wanted to know if anyone knew if the segment in
'go' (laura palmer's theme) was ripped off angelo badalamenti's peice or
did moby actually colaborate on this with lynch and badalamenti and just
released it himself after/before the fact. never did see moby in the
credits for that song....
hey thanks-
also-one last bleepin question-does 'thousand' go up to 1000 bpms? guiness

Hi,
This may be a weeee bit off subject but I'm very curious. Last year when i
first got really into Moby, I remember really digging that track "Insomnia" by
Faithless. I looked through it again and noticed that part of faithless is
made up of Rollo and & Sister Bliss. Now, I'm wondering if anyone has thier
remix of this moby song in an mp3 file???? and secondly, what do you guys think
of the faithless cd. I really like it, but I'm curious of your opinions.
Email me personally, as I'm sure most of the list doesn't really care about
this.

the sond "thousand" actually gets over 1000 beats per minute. i am guessig it
works on a powers of 2 scale, because the figure i have seen says the top speed
it reaches is 1024 bpm (2^10 = 1024) i don't know how they measured this
considering after not too long, the beats just turn into a bass drum roll of
sorts...

anyone out there thinks trent or moby might be the 'ian curtis' of the
90's? if curtis were unselfish enough to be alive today-he could have been
king in terms of all this angst and individual thought, whilst expressing
it with innovative and creative sounds. indeed.
i could swear i hear curtis in moby's new dawn fades and nin's dead souls.

Subject: (mobility) Inspector Gadget remix...Moby got beat to it. :)
Hello.
For all of you who have recently been talking about Moby doing a remix of
the Inspector Gadget theme, I'm going to speak up and say that my musical
counterpart Brad Comer and I (collectively known as SuRReN) have been
working out the logistics for such a remix since November. :P Anyhow, we
plan to use quite a bit of 303, and opt for an older-school
electronically-produced beat (most of the recent TV/movie theme remixes use
sampled breaks). Brad is probably going to play trumpet for the
original-sounding parts. It's going to be a refreshing, slightly danceable
take on the theme, but will remain true to the original.
Just felt like bringing it to people's attention. :)

I suppose because "Reject" was not yet released in the states, and Moby
wanted to include it. The US version of _The End of Everything_ is his
favorite record, I believe.

Moby used the Twin Peaks music 'after the fact'. "Go" was never used in
Twin Peaks. I think that Badalamenti was actually pretty happy that his
music became a worldwide dance hit.

Yes, it reportedly peaks at a bit over 1000 bpm. I think it was in
the Guinness Book of World Records, but I don't remember for sure.
I've also heard claims that some other people have gone to like 4000
bpm. Seems pretty silly to me...

i absolutely (sp?) LOVE faithless! i got into them last year when a
friend started sending me records from england.
i strongly recommend any moby fan to check them out!
i think "salva mea" has to be the most insane club/house song ever. i
have a really good remix of "insomnia" also. i have the 2xLP called
"ir-reverance." is that the cd you're talking about?
they also did a good mix of olive's "you're not alone."
anyway, like i said, i think everyone here should hunt their stuff down
(only in the UK...damn!) and hear for yourself.
