The song is "Something Good." It is not the best Saint song, but it is good,
like the rest of the CD. Also, that is the only other Utah Saints CD I have and
that is a Good single.

To comphensate for this lack of post, I also requested the Moby MP3 of the
week, and never recieved anything. As a matter of fact I also contacted
Carmen on several other manners, which I got vague, indirect answers to. The
person you want to mail on this subject is JadenX@aol.com. Bug the hell out
of him. :)
On another note, finally picked up Ambient and Early Underground today.
Noticed Moby "borrowed" many parts from songs released under his surnames
for remixes (UHF3 to the Club Mix of "Next is The E", anyone?). While in
some cases I don't mind it, I'd like to know if most of this came under
pressure from Instinct, rather than Moby being too lazy to properly remix a
track...

I don't think Instinct had much to do with it, as Moby has continued the
practice. Alone on Animal Rights uses the same chord progression as Great
Lake on End of Everything and Dead City from Little Idiot. Blue Light of the
Underwater Sun uses parts of Ul He Fu, etc. and etc. So I vote for laziness.

Have we already discussed the Senseless soundtrack?
I think so...hmm...Anyway, I listened to the Moby track today and it sounds
like a minor remix of First Cool Hive; Moby's past couple of tracks have
been rather weak-I really hope he's not stagnating....

On this subject, I'd like to bring up another point; can anyone encode this
track in MP3? I'd rather not spend $12 on a CD which includes many tracks I
already own on other CDs...anyone up for the task?

Say It's All Mine
Well I know it's over
Like a waste of mind
Well I know it's side ball
I can't seem to find
Like a waste of someone
Like a wasted home
Well I know it's over
I know it's over long
Did you ever slip inside my ozone
I saw it in my eyes
Ever slip into me baby?
And I know it's mine
I gotta say it's all mine
With so low
Well I know it's not mine
With so much
Well I say it's all mine
With so low
And I know it's not mine
Well it's solace baby
I saw the face of mine
You took my hand and held on
For the longest time
I was always looking to be the one for you
It could have been so perfect
If I still lied at you
And I want to scream inside you no-one
Did you ever look at me
I saw a place where I was open
Now it will die mine
I gotta say it's all mine
When no man
When I know it's not mine
With so much
When I'm faking the lies
With so low
I gotta say it's all mine
Gotta say it's all mine
Wanna say it's all mine
Gonna say it's all mine
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so mine
I gotta say it's all mine
With so low
When I know it's not mine
It's over
And I can face it no lie
With so much
Well I know it's not mine
With so low
I know it's not mine
With so much
I gotta face it's a lie
With so low
I know it's not mine
With so far
I gotta place it's a lie
It was so good
So good

sven vath is a wonderful trance dj from over in the uk. supposedly he is a
god over there, but that is going by the liner notes in the cd. as far as the
moby portion of the cd, yes in fact it is moby. the music tends to fall a
little more on the ambient side but not conclusively. a good number of the
songs he plays on the cd are not available on his more readily available cds.
worth buying

It's a nice mixed CD. The first half is DJed by Sven Vath (known
for his trance hit "An Accident In Paradise", among other things) and
the second half is DJed by Moby. They spin other people's songs, and
throw in some of their own. The CD has a somewhat relaxing trance/
house feeling.
Moby has three of his own songs in the mix: "C3 Bells", "Go
(Subliminal Mix)", and "Next Is The E (Intro Mix)". "C3 Bells" is
a previously unreleased remix of "Myopia", with a canned beat from
the EYTM remix competition samples thrown in. "Next Is The E (Intro
Mix)", which is actually used as an outtro to this CD, is a nice
short semi-ambient take on the beautiful song, with pretty piano
sprinkles over synth strings.
MixMag Vol. 2 is a nice CD to listen to, but it's not likely to be
one that you'll play all the time.

SVEN VATH IS LIKE THE BEST TECHNO GUY FROM FRANCE AND HE IS PRETTY GOOD. THE
CD IS ALSO A GOOD ONE, IT HAS COOL SONGS FROM BOTH ARTISTS.

I think at the time Moby just probably liked that chord progression, i've done
that with a few of my tracks. Moby has also done recent songs which are named
differently but basicly are the same songs. I wouldn't hold it against him. I
just consider it a progression of the original and leave it at that.

p.s. i love the fact that next is the e turns into N.I.T.E.

one of Moby's concerts...Sven Vath is some other artist that they used....they
(MixMag) generally keeps there live albums within two artists....so I so, if
you like it, go for it....

What does everybody think about this new style of house
known as speed garage? I think the warped bass line sounds
are just irresistable and give off a nice underground vibe.
Does anyone think Moby will incorporate this style into his
music for his new album? I personally don't think he will
but it would be interesting.

I fell totally for speed garage when I first heard it. From my point of
view I don't think SG is very inovative tho'. It mostly is
"light-jungle" and early drum'n'bass inspired music adapted more to the
dancefloor than the two mentioned. Very cool and impossible to sit still
and listen to... you just hafta move to it.
I do not believe that Moby will turn this way, unless he is in a really
experimental-remix-state-of-mind sometime. However, it had been mostly
appreciated by this guy to see Moby turning this way. I believe that
Moby will turn more into "acoustic"/guitar based music with old-school
techno beats and also some trance/ambient inspired tracks.
BTW, anyone know what Moby thinks of Jungle, D&B, SG and similar styles
of music?
Could be awsome to see him turn this way, rite?

i love it! i don't think it's at all musical most of the time, but
anything armand van helden has done in the past couple of years is really
good. i love his tori and goldie remixes!
fyi, logic records will be releasing a speed garage comp by next month.

when i interviewed moby in november, he said that he really enjoyed d&b.
i'm pretty sure he won't turn to d&b or SG. he's much too musical. maybe
lopez? or remixes?
