most of all of his big releases, and most of his singles.
I saw moby at Lollapaloza in 1995. He was playing at the second stage. He put onsuch a show that I had to go out and get his CD and see what he was all about.
Everything is wrong just turned me on to the techno world. Even though some
was heavy rock, I still liked it.
Other Artists that I like are the following: Prodigey, Aphex twin, Crystal
Method, Orbital, and some tricky.
Moby I think is one of my favorite artists in this area of music. He should
get more love for the stuff that he does for the scene.........

Subject: (mobility) Some points from Moby
I wrote Moby a letter and he sent me a reply! Even better, he
allowed me to share it with you. Here are some excerpts of what
Moby said.
Regarding the show he was supposed to do in Boulder,
Colorado in November:
I'm sorry that we didn't get a chance to play in Boulder.
We got smacked by 4 feet of snow in 24 hours and spent
the night in Walsenberg, CO.
Regarding his references to child pornography in the recent
Sonicnet chat:
I have no interest whatsoever in child pornography, but it
seemed like a cheap shot to startle people. I have this
knee-jerk reaction wherein I feel compelled to shock, and
maybe offend, people a little bit. Especially as regards
words and images. And especially in light of the fact that
people are so quick to take offense at ideas and words and
pictures but yet turn a seemingly blind eye to the myriad
(of) genuinely horrific things going on in the world.
I'm sorry if I've ever hurt or confused people. The last
thing that I want to do is toy with the good will of people
who like my music.
Regarding what he has been doing lately:
I'm working on the next record and I'm quite happy with
it so far. It's shaping up to be very melodic and
emotional and as of yet has no guitars on it. I might do
the hard guitar stuff under a different name at some point
in the future.
Yes, I'm most likely executive producing a movie that Paul
Yates is making that's set in a porno store but is not at
all pornographic.
I hope to put out the new album in September of 1998. It
will be for you and for me and for all of the people who
are part of our family (gee, that sounds ominously cult-
like, doesn't it?)
Thanks, Moby! :)

I'm not sure how long its been out but it looks like this is worth
grabbing. The Australian release appears to have tracks that were
previously only available on 12" (I think).
Here are the track & time listings:
#1 3:23 Moby's Main Mix
#2 6:07 CJ Bolland's Dubbel Oh Heaven Mix
#3 11:57 Danny Tenaglia's Twilo Mix
#4 5:50 Moby's Extended Mix
#5 7:50 Piet Blanc's Da Bomb Mix (aka Da Bomb Mix on UK version)
#6 7:41 Danny Tenaglia's Acetate Dub
#7 7:44 Grooveriders Jeep Mix
#8 2:01 Bonus Beats
Okay... now I just heard a rumor that MOBY & BT were near my home town
last Friday (Jan 16) playing in Park City Utah! Can anyone confirm or
deny this? MCT or DEF? I'll die if I missed these two... especially if
they were only a half hour way.
BTW: thanks Daniel for passing the contents of that letter along. It
makes me feel a lot better about things and I'm already looking forward
to the new material.

Actually, I don't have the release in my hands as we speak. A local
music store got it in and called me about it (since they know I'm a Moby
freak). They provided the track listings & times... but I do not have
the exact catalogue number. I'm sure (like w/the Aussie release of
"revolver") that it was released through Warner Music Australia. Also,
as normal, the CD is in a thin cardboard sleeve and the artwork is not
new.
According to Music Boulevard (http://www.musicblvd.com/), this was
released 12/17/97 and can be ordered at the price of $9.89 - I ordered
the Australian "Revolver" through them last month and they came
through. So my recommendation lies with them. (:
Cheers!
