I am going to the concert. I will write up a description on Monday.
It sucks because I have to get up EARLY on Sat. to get tix for
Jamboree and then go to the concert which starts at 9. Long day for
me, I'll be glad to sleep on Sunday.

Hey everybody. Just to comment on the Q101 jamboree, which I will be
attending with my best West Side boy. I was at the first Q101
jamboree 2 years ago. It was good, but the weather made it terrible.
Also, it is at the World Music Theater, which I think is one of the
worst places for sound. I expect not to see Moby other than on-
stage. It is real hard to get backstage without a pass, I've tried
at the World many-a-times. This year does have the best lineup so
I'm pumped. If anyone from the list wants to get together at the
concert, email me and let me know.

I got tickets for May 25. The operator said they are lawn seats behind
the pavilion. I asked her if I would be able to see the performers and I
think she said probably. Can anyone who has been to the World Music
Theatre tell me about those seats?

I really hope his Moby-nes goes on his own (smaller club?) tour of the
US... I mean its great to see him no matter what the circustances are..
but its not the same when he does the radio-concert circuit.. you know?
Plus on his own tour he would be able to play longer and play his more
obscure stuff (ie: pre-everything is wrong)..
oh well.. just a thought on my mind
another friday concert uppdate and still no moby concerts in my area
(san francisco bay area)... aarrgghh!

Holy Cow,
I must be lucky...I got my tickets for the huge Q101 (sucks) Jamboree which
has our hero as one of the acts. I wasn't first in line, but the "lottery"
picked my number forst, so I was the first to purchase tix at 10:00 am in my
Ticketmaster outlet...my seats are in the pavilion but not as close as I'd
think...
Anyway, It'll be good to see Moby and Bjork, and speaking of Bjork, I have a
question for our Bjork fans out there. The video for "Big Time Sensuality"
has a really cool mix to it...is this available commercially? The CD that
is, I could care less about the video. I just want to know what mix it
is...and like we have said, she has ALOT of singles. I just need to know
which one to get.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the list and I guess I should introduce myself. My name is
Raymundo Villa Jr. I'm a student and work part time. All of my friends
have already graduated from school, but I'm still here. I'm a bit lazy and
have never really applied myself. I was having too much fun to go to
class. Now everyone I know has a real job and I'm stuck in a dead end
job. Anyway, the first time I heard Moby was about a year ago. My friend
had a copy of the single "feeling so real". I immediately fell in love
with it. I went out and bought a copy of "Everything is Wrong". I love
it and it is about the only thing that I listen to these days. In addition
to this list I'm also on Panic (Smiths mailing list). I also like Aphex
Twins, KMFDM, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Lords of Acid,
Consolidated (whatever happened to them?), New Order and many others.
- -----
I picked a copy of Rolling Stone and it says that Moby is expected to
produce the next gun's and roses album. I'm interested in finding out what
the new album sounds like.
Well I not sure what to expect here, but I hope its fun.

Thats a funny description of your seating deal. My thoughts are if you get
lawn, you get the lawn. No "seating" really. You just have to stake your
claim on the lawn for the day. First come, first served. The Lawn at the New
World Music Theatre is absolutely HUGE.
The best way to see the performers...well, if you're in the lawn. You may as
well enjoy listening. Unless you get a spot right at the front of the lawn.
Other than that, why not just bask in the sun and hear your favorite bands.
I also hear there will be a "second stage" kind of setup. Maybe Moby will
play that stage. Its funny how Queer 101 put artists like James and Moby
when they rarely play their stuff on the radio anyway...

could surprise me with a little concert in NYC soon..i know exactly what's
going to happen: he'll come to NYC and play at a tiny little club where noone

they even played a clip of TWIRFMR on one of the commercials, which makes me

Hello list.
I also have my tickets for junkoooree. I got 5 in the middle, 26
rows away form the stage in the pavillion. Not bad. Hey, bluegirl,
I might have an extra lawn ticket. I'll let you know. We should all
meet at the show. The Orb/Chem.Bros show last night was AWESOME!!!!!
Orb played for about 1 hr. [So that means they played 5 songs :)]
In between the sets for the two they had a local DJ spin for about 30-
45 min. He was very good. Chem Bros. played for about 90 min.
Great lighting, videos and Quadrophonic sound. I don't know if
anyone is familiar with the Aragon, but when they put a wall of
speakers in the back of the room the bass will make your shirt move
like a breeze. Very Nice. The atmosphere was alright. A lot of
people dancing, but not enough room to dance. I was bumping people
allnight. Oh well, I enjoyed it and it was definetly worth 25
dollars. Next concert=Prodigy.

I saw that show in Toronto-and it's still one of the best concerts I've
ever been to. I didn't really like LOA before the show-but I absolutely
fell in love after seeing the incredible show they put on...

an interesting bit of info:
the lords of acid that toured the u.s. are not the lords of acid that
do the music for the album. the band that plays concerts are just
players for the real musicians. i went to the sextacy ball tour too,
and it was one of my favorite concerts. even though they didn't
write any of the songs, they sure did put on a great show.
i would like to see moby do some songs with Jade 4 U of the
lords of acid clan. she has an amazing voice and if combined with
moby's anthematic techno possibilities..........well, it could be one hell
of a song.
love,
ryu

and I think the end result would be pretty awesome

I was just listening to Voodoo U, and I think it would definitely be
interesting. Especially if Moby does the liner notes and Jade 4 U did
lyrics from LOA. Vegan Christian environmentalist propaganda on the liner
notes, and very blatent sexuality and drug use in the songs.
Interesting... I know that I would buy it, though.

I'm not sure about the rest of the band but Praga Khan and Jade 4 U were at
the show and their credited for producing and arranging Voodoo U.

that's pretty scary. i heard paul harvey once in germany and he seemed
rather conservative no?
just got "ambient" as i'm a newer mobyist and i've noticed simularities
between this music and what you would perceive as "new age" kind of
sleepy-bye music. it's nice for those quiet times.just waiting for an
order to come from aus.i can't remember which one. clueless? give me a
hint?
off the subject...is it Orbital ? or the Orb that's techno? mind is
going 'cuse me.
i talked with someone at my record store and it appears alot of people
have been awakening to Moby through AR that wouldn't have touched him
before.this is good.
