Does anyone have any good ideas for sharing times for the month of May.
I also need some ideas for the Mother's Day program.

Gosh..
I have been in primary for ages... I have tons of ideas. lol
we did a thing in primary called the m&m club.. It was just for the summer.
the kids got a sheet they took home to have the parents mark.
M&M stood for MORE and MORE Prayer.. scripture study...missionary
work..service. and for each mark they get ..one m&m. That is why it is
just for summer. it brings in the kids and the friends.
The only problem we had with the program was that the parents didnt want us
to stop it. the kids wanted so badly to do as much as possible in all the
catagories that the kids were doing each others chores and praying and
asking to read scriptures and helping the missionaries. We had to buy big
bags of m&Ms. that gets expensive. but the kids loved it and there was more
attendance in primary that summer than ever before.
All I know is that for mothers day I think moms would like something
useful. Those hand print things are nice too. you know the teacher paints
the kids hands and they put it on a piece of paper.. well you would have to
invite the young women to that so you had enough help so that the kids would
have their hands washed immediately.
I also did a thing where I made big foot prints out of butcher paper and put
them all around the room. then it was like a huge game.. and each class
picked a game piece (one of the kids in the class) then they would spin the
spinner and if they answered the question right they could go that far. The
questions were something they had been talking about that month. I told
them that if they knew the answeres to the questions they would be following
in Jesus' footsteps.. that is why I used foot shapes.
a friend of mine used the idea of Hollywood squares (she called it
primary squares). she used the oldest class to be the stars. then she
asked the stars a question...the star could tell the truth or bluff.. and
then the contestant would say I agree or disagree.. well you know.. if you
have seen that show you could figure it out.
Well that is all I can think of. hope this helps.
