http://www.givi.it
unfortunately you won't find here all the boxes (don't why?) Fred Hink's
page, the "list of items I $$$" page contains some GIVI boxes, but their
dimension is a mystery. Perhaps this is because Fred doesn't usually have
them in stock.
Question to the list: Does somebody know where on the web is a site where
all the GIVI boxes are listed, and they have all the dimensions there as
well? I'm particularly interested in the E28N and/or E34N models as saddle
bags. Oh, and one more question: is the "N" stands for "Narrow"? ... or
Nnnnnnevermind, maybe?
Cheers,
istvan

I got a bunch of the Acerbis front disc guards for the KLR in stock today.
I called PBI and they told me that they have sent me my order of 16T
sprockets for the 90-00 KLR on yesterday. They should be here either
tomorrow or on Monday. If you need one let me know as there is a limited
number and it will most likely be a long time before we get any more. All
of you that have asked for the 16T sprocket in the past will get yours first
and then the rest of you can duke it out.

Subject: RE: (klr650) Northwest Rack, GIVI/Bieffe
I wonder is this the E28 or E28N? ... Givi is pricey, but depends on what
you need. If you like that red reflector stripe on the edge, it's nice.
The Bieffe I was talking/typing about is 42 liter, black with a grayish
stripe around (Alu for strength?) and it's almost twice the price of the one
you're talking about, 189.99 CAD, dim: 20"x15"x11". The shape is more
square, than the Givi, but it still has those rounded edges. It's the same
mid-plane split design, what is way stronger then the top-loading ones (Alu
boxes) on the expense of comfort in packing it (spills out stuff if you open
it on the bike) Colors: black or red. Accessories: Back rest: $36.99.
There is a 27liter box (Q127, 15x13x11), black or white $119.99 Cdn, and a
30liter box (Q130, 15x13x11.5), black or red, ... don't know how much.
These are from a photocopied page I got from a local dealership.
Looks like the 28l GIVI is cheaper, but the 42liter Bieffe is definitely
less than the 36liter GIVI that is 228.00 CAD, here in Calgary.
Keep me updated, if you find out some more about the hard bags. Thank you!
Cheers,
istvan

Hi Doc Pete,
I ain't sore, just curious. You must not have been here for round ONE. I
won't get into this again (as per our listmeister's suggestion) but you can
check the archives to find out what you missed the first time around.

Does anyone have any info on Frank Tabor and friends from Omaha who are
enroute to Prudhoe, then turning around and going to Ushuaia? They were
supposed to leave Aug 6, pass through Sturgis, then go. I'm assuming they
have reached Prudhoe and must in Central America by now...

Hey, you western guys. What about Tombstone scene where Doc Holiday(Val
Kilmer) is playing cards with the weasel from the gang and just beating the
crap out of him. Both men had plenty to drink and the weasel's temper flares
as he challenges
Doc. He thinks better of it and sits back down, still angry and glaring at
Doc. Holiday looks over at him and slurring his words says "Well, Red, maybe
poker just isn't your game. How about a spelling contest?" I laughed my ass
off on that one.

No Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, or Jeremiah Johnson. Those belong
in my top 10. And Redford lives in Utah. For shame Kurt for snubbing
your fellow Ute.
I love WW2 movies best:
Great Escape
Bridge on the River Kwai
Kelly's Heroes
Patton (George C. Scott, God rest your soul)
Battle of the Bulge
Bridge Too Far
Longest Day
Private Ryan
Midway
Now those are KLR testosterone filled movies. This new George Clooney
movie looks promising, kind of a gulf war version of Kelly's Heroes.

Tombstone was full of great lines... I can't remember them verbatim, but
Russel to Thorton, "You gonna slap leather boy, or just stand there and
bleed"? And how about Holiday to Johnny Ringo, "I'll be your
huckleberry..."
Too cool... maybe I'll watch it again tonight.
