I have had success with photo coping them in reduction mode, to just fit into a zip-loc sandwich bag. I wrap the whole thing around my tool kit and drop it in the tool-kit-staging-area on the bike, in the rack on the A13. If you keep the printed text off the polyethylene bag there will be no reaction between the bag and the polymers in the toner (the stuff in the Xerox type print that isn't black).

  138. i recently got the acerbis rally pro guards with spoilers (again, from fred
  139. 8^).  no problem bolting on.  have run (pretty hard actually) into one tree
  140. thus far (couldn't believe the bars didn't bend) and also fallen pretty hard
  141. a few times and they work great.
  142.  
  143. the most recent fall was yesterday morning, trying to climb a steep dirt
  144. hill which we affectionately call "pork chop hill" (would you climb a hill
  145. with that name?).  i guess i forgot to remember not to forget that hurricane
  146. floyd just passed by and re-arranged all the rocks and dirt.  i got slowed
  147. down by a rut, tried to cut the front wheel out of it and ended up falling
  148. off the long way, down the hill.  the bike smashed down right on the left
  149. guard, and actually crushed a rock and buried itself in the dirt.
  150.  
  151. i just wish my shoulder hurt less than my hip does.
  152.  
  153. incidentally, my levers still have "balls".  if i still do, i'll be
  154. attacking pork chop hill again next weekend.  bonzai!

  173. I presenly own a KLR and pretty happy with it for the most part.  While
  174. most of my DS riding here in Illinois is done on gravel roads (other than
  175. attending Moab rally)and also realizing that a KLR is superior off road, I
  176. wonder if anyone out has spent much time in the saddle of a BMW F650. Is
  177. this bike much smoother than KLR at 65-70mph on highway?  How do the two
  178. bikes compare vibration wise.  Would appreciate some input.

  232. When I got my pilot's licsense a couple of years back my wife got me some
  233. little plastic envelopes that seal watertight to keep my medical card and
  234. license in they worked great.  Recently at REI I found some that had a hole
  235. in one end for a chain (still water proof).  I keep my reg, my ins. card, my
  236. motorcycle Iron horse card and a card with my medical ins. info, my
  237. emergency contact info, blood type, med allergies and a sticker not to
  238. remove my helmet in the event I am unconscious.  I keep this in my tank bag,
  239. if I ride without the tank bag I put it around my neck on a chain like a dog
  240. tag.

  380. Mine went on with the minimum of problems.
  381. 1) take the adjuster screw clear out of the housing
  382. 2) put the lock over the throttle between to left hand side of the grip, I
  383. trimmed off a lot of the end of the rubber grip so it wouldn't interfere
  384. wirth the lock.
  385. 3) put the adjusting screw back in and monkey with it.
  386.  
  387. I found Redondo Ron's pade to be most helpful.. I didn't attach mine to the
  388. cable housing or anything at all it just floats free on the end of the grip.
  389. I rotate it forward with my thumb, engage it with my forefinger and it holds
  390. the throttle tube and the "foot" of the Vista Cruis rests against the part
  391. of the throttle cable housing where the cables exit. Kind of hard to explain
  392. I guess, check out http://members.aol.com/cloudhid/vista.jpg , I think that
  393. is a good place to start. I hope this helps. If not, I like Spaten

  415. Check out the new Aprilia 650.  My local dealer claims that it is 50# lighter
  416. than the BMW version, with 10 more HP, and a few hundred bucks less.
  417. Haven't verfied this all myself, just what the dealer told me yesterday.

  435. my KLR since I got my new Tiger.  Not fair to have such a great bike sit
  436. there with no place to go, and no one to ride it.

  438. I've had the bike for about 1-1/2 years now and have put over 13000 miles on
  439. it.  It has taken me all over the state of Texas.

  441. Only modifications I have done is the lowering kit, Moose bash plate, and
  442. the rear shock has just been rebuilt.  Things needing attention are the
  443. front fork boots and the muffler.

  509. NGK`s are hard to beat, BUT I installed a Splitfire about 7000 miles ago for
  510. the heck of it, just to see how they were, and actually have had no need to
  511. pull it yet. I had to regap at about
  512. 3500 miles and haven`t touched it since. It`s not that I prefer it over the
  513. NGK, but why throw it away if it works well? When I do replace it, I`ll
  514. probably go back to the NGK.

  544. Champions represent about 90% of the aviation sparkplug and turbine ignitor
  545. market, by sales and customer requests. The Champion plugs on piston engine
  546. aircraft are probably the most reliable product in the field. I don`t know
  547. why their other spark plugs fair so badly. The design is completely
  548. different in body and with two ground electrodes.
  549.      When I lived in Alaska, our snow cats were our main source of
  550. transportation, and the worst thing you could do to your engine was install
  551. Champion plugs. The most reliable turned out to be NGK`s and Bosch. I will
  552. say that I haven`t tried Champions in a bike for awhile, so maybe they`ve
  553. been improved, who knows?
