I also figure if I do it myself there is nobody to get mad at. I have enough
confrontation at work. Lately I have been having fun painting my bikes. So far I
have done my FZR400, VFR (that was purchased crashed) and most recently my wife's
Hawk GT. In all three cases there are errors that if I had hired a professional I
would have been very disappointed. As it is, I am proud of the way they look. If
I changed the chain and it broke the case, I would know to be more careful and fix
it. If you paid somebody else to do it and it broke the case, you are still going
to have to fix it, the difference is you will also have a ton of anger that will
probably go unresolved!

Two bikes? I think there should be some type of federal program for people that
only have two bikes! :<)

Subject: (klr650) My klr set-up
Tengai luggage, that is. At the completion of my tengai rack, I have finally placed my KLR index page and it's up and running at:
http://homestead.deja.com/user.riffyan/bike.html
It's a long address, I know. Anyway, the site, which is heavily under construction, features my construction plans for KLR tengai racks as tried and tested on a recent 2-day 800 mile ride through Ohio, WVa, Pennsylvania and Maryland on freeway and fire road. I'm requesting links and photo suggestions/submissions to finish the site.
Thanks for checking it out.

Does anyone know of a list similar to the KLR650 list that is for Jeep
Wrangler owners/enthusiasts? I have a buddy that has been experiencing a
similar run around from dealers and repair shops with his Wrangler when it
comes to repairs/maintenance as is had by many KLR650 owners. If anyone
knows of such a list, please let me know.
Thanks!

Dawn graciously loaned the web space for the Rider article.
We are very close and I feel I've known her all my life, but
she's definitely her own woman. I hesitate to call us an
item because I know she could break me in half. {g}
