Greetings fella!

I browse the list occasionally as I am typically too busy to read
everything.  Instead I get the - what is it again - journal version?
(Correct me here Arne...)  There's much b-s'ing on the list.  Skip it if
you're not interested.  Sometimes its fun, sometimes it doesn't interest me.
  In general there are a bunch of good people on the list who might slag
your opinion on something trivial, but who will also turn around and help
you fit the widget that you just bought that will seemingly only mount onto
the gumwat 90░ from what you expected.

I highly doubt clorox will do anything but make the mildew disappear like
magic.  Here in the Northwest we know a little about mildew too.  But as
always, test on a small inconspicuous area first.

Yes. Clear. Its not for discussing land issues as a major activity. But
let me be specific. If I were to ask my question more clearly, I would
say
"'Land use issues(being general) aside' would it not be appropriate to
expand slightly to embrace the specific, limited, and defined activity
of-- originating letters from this list to politicians regarding offroad
riding areas, within the KLR domain, say one day a month?

the specific limitations and purposes of this list. I realise that.
But, I'm just inquiring, I'm not trying to test here, or push any
buttons Okay.

So as I understand it, we can talk about 'any' riding area issues under
NKLR. But the organised activity of writing letters together is not

Yes, apples and oranges. They're both fruit. They both are sustenance.
If we were talking about keeping alive they'd both be valid. Yet, we are
talking about keeping the KLR alive, and whether its gas, or chains, or
tires,
or a place to ride they all fit into the equation of 'promoting and
supporting the use of the KLR'.

This list is involved in the proliferation of Dualsporting as it relates
to KLR's.
I don't know about Canada or other parts of the U.S. but in the
Southwest
riding areas over the past three decades have dwindled,
like so many other endangered flora and fauna, lots.....quickly.

Try Tilex the stuff for bathroom cleaning. Friend of mine used it on a car
seat,worked wonders with no discoloring.

I'd like to have done that as well but can't quite afford the KLR while
paying for the Wing. Biggest thing tho is the wife's health is beginning to
force us to travel by cage so if a long trip is planned, we'll have to
trailer. I did build a trailer to pull behind the Wing and with just a
little work and no cost, it will handle the KLR just fine.
The Wing is sold BTW and the process of obtaining a new KLR shall begin
first thing tomorrow.

Writing organized letters to politicians and making posts to the list are
two different things.  If you want to do something like that you could
simply post a quick note to the list in NKLR saying... hey all, tomorrow at
7:00 I want to organize a letter writing party.  E-mail me off list if
you're interested.  Take your responses... send out a mass post to all of
them... and as long as everyone responds to "reply all", you will have your
own dedicated quorum going.

relates to the ass that I wipe that also sits on the seat of the KLR...

 My personal experience with my large size (250#) and the stock springs is the rear sags and that will put less weight on the front, this sometimes doesn't allow the front tire to plant when turning resulting in a skating or sliding of the front. This was the problem on my KLX. I raised the forks in the triple clamps about 18 mm which is the max just before they contact the bars and the skating was much less. I need the stiffer rear spring in both the KLX and KLR.
