There can be lots of entres on Louisana and East Texas menus that one is =
prudent to ask about.
In much of East Texas and, I presume in Louisana, there is a critter =
called a swamp rabbit, which looks like a whopping big cottontail....big =
as a coon. Ever eat one of those?
I have been sneaking around in some spooky creek bottom or other and =
flushed those things. They don't make a lot of noise but they will make =
you jump if they flush close to your feet. If you don't shoot quickly =
you will lose him in the close cover usually found in such places....the =
kind of place you don't go in the warm months. Snakes. The worst is =
the little known Texas hybrid, The Copperback Rattle-Moccasin.
