  103. A VISITOR FROM THE PAST

  105. I had a dream the other night, I didn't understand.
  106. A man was walking through the mist, with flintlock in his hand.
  107. His clothes were torn and dirty, as he stood there by my bed.
  108. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low, he said:

  110. "We fought a revolution, to secure our liberty.
  111. We wrote the Constitution, as a shield from tyranny.
  112. For future generations, this legacy we gave.
  113. To the land of the free and the home of the brave."
  114.  
  115. "The freedom we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep.
  116. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep.
  117. Your freedom gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave.
  118. In  the land of the free and home of the brave."

  120. "You buy permits to travel, and permits to own a gun,
  121. Permits to start a business, or to build a place for one.
  122. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent.
  123. Although you have no voice in choosing, how the money's spent."

  147. Bravery and nobility are traits that only exist when a nation is sensitive to 
  148. morality and the conscience of its citizens. When a nation is no longer 
  149. sensitive to the
  150. conscience of its citizens, but, instead, dispossesses them or even attacks 
  151. them with weapons of war, one can know that nation's heart of bravery and 
  152. nobility has turned to a heart of despotism. It may profess to be a lamb and 
  153. a peace lover but, in reality, it speaks as a dragon. It may paint its 
  154. weapons of war white and call its
  155. armies "peace keepers" but it is still a dragon.  
  156.  
  157. It may very well be that the heart of a dragon is what this nation wants, but 
  158. it also should be understood, that heart will always lead a nation to its 
  159. end. One cannot
  160. oppress without being oppressed. Eventually, the nation turns against itself 
  161. and national ruin is the result.
